This was my first time ordering from here & I decided to have it delivered, since it was freezing out and I don't drive at night. Delivery would be 45-60 minutes, so I set my timer for 30 so I'd be ready to put the light on in the vestibule for the driver to see. Before I knew it, I got a call that the delivery driver, Joshua, was at the door! It wasn't even 30 minutes! He must have cooked my food on the way over! Joshua was very pleasant and the food was very hot! I ordered a large half sausage pizza with a side of fried mushrooms, which were both delicious. The pie had a nice thick crust, which is how I like it. I never eat the bottom crust, but break off the thick crust and scoop up the toppings. It was perfect! The fried mushrooms were tender with a very crispy & tasty coating. They were a nice size and there were plenty of them...even had some left over. Everything from placing the order with a very sweet lady to my last bite was great! I definitely recommend trying this eatery. FYI: There is parking in the lot behind it (same as where Stephanie's Italian restaurant is, since there is no parking allowed in front on Bloomfield Ave.). read more

I'm not sure why Cedar Grill & Pizza has 4.4 stars. The staff was friendly and we didn't wait that long for our food but nothing else about this place warrants that many stars. The pizza, the chicken Parm hero, and the chicken Caesar salad were all average at best. Frankly, not much different than Domino's or Pizza Hut. I can't say anything about Cedar Grill & Pizza was bad but considering there's a pizzeria every block or so in downtown Caldwell, I think you could do better elsewhere. read more

My family and I stumbled upon this pizza shop when we got into town. My boys and husband are super picky about their pizzas so I was a little nervous, but we were all hungry after getting off a 5hour flight. I'd have to say, I was pretty happy they were satisfied with the pizza. I'm not really a pizza person, but this supreme pizza was so good! The crust was nice and crispy just the way I like it. We order from often when visiting family in West Caldwell. The people here are incredibly friendly and eager to please. Nothing fancy but a solid pizzeria with excellent sandwiches and pastas. They are known for their fat sandwiches. Just like the Rutgers original they have got busting combos. Cheesesteaks are really good here too. Hell even the breakfast sandwiches rock. I've had a sausage park hero here and it's filling and delicious. Pizza is pretty good too. I also dig the mozzarella sticks with a nice crunch to them. Chicken park and Caesar wraps are family favorites too. Parking in back can be a challenge but is well worth it. Give these guys a try! read more

Giant 24 inch pizzas, fabulous Italian subs and turkey subs to the rescue. Easy curbside pick up. The Italian subs were as good as any Philly Italian subs we have ever had. I just moved back to the area and the food is as great as I remember it. I have to be honest, I've never had the pizza. For me, their big draw are the "fat" sandwiches, made popular at the Rutgers grease trucks in New Brunswick. Being a Rutger alum, I have had many of these fat sandwiches in my day, but I actually think Cedar Grill does it better. In my opinion, the size of their roll is perfect, not too bready, which I often found the Rutgers sandwiches to be. Cedar Grill's fat sandwiches certainly are "fat", but not overwhelmingly so. We did delivery and got it in 45 minutes (for lunchtime in Fairfield, that's good!). However, they forgot the marinara on my Fat Sandwich, the dressing on my coworkers Fat sandwhich (i think ranch? cant remember), and the O&V on my coworkers Italian sub. This is my family's go to place for take out pizza. We always get the Casanova pie with prosciutto, fresh tomatoe slices, and black olives. It's just really good thin pizza. We have been regular customers at Cedar Grill for over 10 years. Our neighbor got us into them. The owner, Roger is such an awesome guy. Talk about NICE, welcoming and actually cares about his customers. He makes us feel like family. His food is unlike anyones in town. His pizza..never a disappointment. When I tell you his pies are cooked to perfection, believe me! The cheese NEVER falls off, never greasy, never burnt. You can pick up a slice without having to worry about it flopping all over the place. The fat sandwiches are amazing (he does them the best) wings are awesome too! We dont order anywhere else. This is my go-to spot. They have everything and almost all of it is solid. The pizza is my favorite in town; the crust is crispy without being hard. It can be a little inconsistent based on who's working. The subs and fat sandwiches are good. The burger is a good value. read more

I love the food and have been ordering from here for years. But the new girl who answers the phone is completely incompetent and has messed up really expensive orders (70$+) many times. If you want to keep customers it would be best to not mess up their orders (especially for long time customers). If she cannot handle big orders please put someone on the phone who can. read more
