Newly opened, this brand new authentic Hong Kong style Cha Chaan Teng in Markham is the real deal. CCT Markham (正豆茶餐廳) Cha Chaan Teng serves Street Snacks, Noodles, Rice, Kids Meals, Home-Style Combo Meals, Hot and Cold drinks. Breakfast Menu is available from 8am-11am. Afternoon High Tea Menu is available from 2:30pm-5:30pm. HK Style Cha Chaan Teng Kids Menu orders come with free toy. Great place to go for families with children. We tried their Sham-Shui-Po Snack Platter* which was excellent. Loved the bean curd shrimp rolls and the fish balls. This was my favourite platter. Next we tried the Baked Tomato Cheese Pork Cutlet on Spaghetti. They were generous with the pork slices portion and there were quite a few cubed tomato pieces too. The Thick Luncheon Meat & Egg Instant Noodles were good with chopped scallions and sesame seeds. This was a popular order! We selected from the Afternoon Tea Menu - a freshly baked, crispy crust-topped Pineapple Bun with cold Butter which came with good quality tea used for their hot Hong Kong Milk Tea. Delicious tasting tea! We met the owner Maggie who was very personable and the staff were also nice and helpful. So many menu options to choose from. Very authentic. Good quality and great taste. Decent portions. Reasonable prices. Good value.

To be honest, it is not perfect in many dimensions: It's not spacious and feels too greedy to have too many tables. It is not a good place if you really want to have an elegant environment to have your meals. The servers are a bit aggressive. But despite of all those disadvantages, I still give it 5 stars because it has the PERFECT food! I almost dropped some tears when I tasted my first bite of the dish I ordered, stored fried beef with tomatoes and eggs. I think what it does best is that it adapt its dishes to use the local produce and meat, and still keep the legit HongKong food flavors. My wife ordered the stir fried instant noodles and it was full of pepper, mushrooms and soy sauce flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant to have meal with friends or family (but not too many people since it's small and crowded. You can go to other coffee shop to chat

The drawback is everytime the door opens you get the big breeze that comes in and also the washroom is not toddler friendly. This place only accepts CASH or DEBIT and there is 25c for each take-out container if needed, though you can bring your own... Ordered Wing Tai Signature Steamed Chicken-$16 - Looks like hainese chicken as there are generous amount of green ginger onion on top of chicken. Not exactly meaty, and texture was alright and it comes with a steam rice and choice of soup or hot beverage. Got Satay Beef Instant Noodle set with luncheon meat + scrambled egg and crispy bun w/ butter condensed milk- $14 -standard taste and such F14 (Fried Noodles w/Beef)- $15 - Didn't really get the wok-hay and the colour is a bit light. Beef was nicely sliced thin and noodles tasted fine. One thing I'd say is their hot sauce by the tableside is quite tasty! Milk tea tasted standard as well. Service was fine too. Not a big space, but can probably seat 25-30 people.

The restaurant is bright and spacious with lots of seatings. Bonus, they even have a few individual seating area. Service was polite and friendly. Ordered a few items to try. Beef fried rice noodles (hor fun), tons of sesame seeds and bean sprouts. Beef was tender and can taste the wok hey. However, the soy sauce is a bit on the sweeter side. Spicy pork soup vermicelli combo comes with eggs and toast. Soup vermicelli was good and flavorful. I opted for scrambled eggs and it was perfectly smooth and creamy. Toasts were a bit on a bland side. Curry fish ball, turnip and pig skin was decent. Slightly oily and also a bit on a sweeter note. Curry beef brisket has a hint of spicyness and has coconut milk. Nice curry taste but also a bit too sweet imo. Brisket was tender overall. Tomato sauce pork cutlet with rice was good flavour. Pork cutlet was crispy and juicy but tomato sauce was a little sweeter than usual. Coconut red bean drink was decent but the red beans were too hard and lacks the sandyness (softer texture). If you've had red bean dessert soup then you would know what i mean. Would of been better if the red bean quality was better. 4 stars overall.

Although there is a lot of parking in this plaza, there are times when there is hardly any available spots. Service is quick and efficient every time I've gone. The menu is HK-style café with a wide range of options, so there's something for everyone. I've tried quite a bit from their menu over time, and nothing has been disappointing. One thing I appreciate is that they don't over-season their food, especially with salt. Most of their meals come with drinks and a choice of soup and they have CREAM SOUP! It's much rarer to find a place that still offers it nowadays. Drinks are also better than average compared to the surrounding hk styled cafes in this plaza. I'd come back because it's reliable and easy to enjoy, especially with a small group of people!

This restaurant serves up some delicous HK diner favourites and most dishes come with soup and hot drink. My first visit I tried the viral sizzling sirloin steak with fries and black pepper gravy. It was $29.99 when I tried it. I believe the prices have gone up slightly. I also got a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Perfect meal for me. My wife got the baked curry beef brisket. The dish was good but mostly rice and not enough beef brisket. Our second we tried the fried chicken leg with fried egg and choice of gravy. The chicken had a nice chinese breading and I believe some salted egg yolk as well. The chicken was crispy and juicy inside. We definitely marked this dish as a must have when we come back. Our 3rd visit we tried the baked cream chicken with rice. This dish was underwhelming and didn't have enough chicken. The cream sauce was tasty but we felt it was more of a frozen dinner variety. I ordered the fried grouper fish with garlic gravy. The fish was crispy and really nice breading. The dish needed some veggies for garnish but I understand they are trying to keep the prices affordable. If you are looking for some HK cafe that serves up some viral dishes and great value, then I recommend this place.

We came here on a Wednesday night, and the place was pretty crowded. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they served tea at the table, which I really liked. We were a party of four and shared four dishes. We started with the pineapple bun filled with satay beef, the beef inside was very tender and flavorful. We also ordered the Singapore-style fried vermicelli, which came with BBQ pork, shrimp, and vegetables. Another dish we tried was the fried noodle with bean sprouts and beef in soya sauce, and this ended up being my favorite. The noodles were well seasoned, and adding chili oil really took it to the next level. For dessert, we got the black sesame French toast with golden syrup. I'm a big fan of HK-style French toast, and this one did not disappoint. The syrup wasn't overly sweet, and the black sesame flavor came through nicely. Their menu is huge and has a wide variety of dishes and plenty of Hong Kong comfort food classics to choose from. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for sharing dishes with friends or family. I'd definitely come back to try more items on their menu, though it's a bit inconvenient to get to without a car.

The menu was extensive so it took awhile for us to decide. They checked up on us a few times. And cleared the table at the end. Food - 4/5: we ordered 3 combo sets - baked Japanese chicken steak on rice, AAA steak with onion paste in rice bowl - comes with a sunnyside up egg, pad thai, lemon tea and cold milk tea. We shared all 3 dishes. The pad thai was surprisingly spicy but it was good. The other 2 dishes is good as well. I just find both dishes to be on the sweeter end. I really enjoyed the milk tea. It was smooth and perfectly balanced. Overall: 4/5 - I would come back with friends. I don't mind trying other options on their menu
