Large selection, so much so that it can be a bit overwhelming for someone new to the HK style cafe scene such as myself. Ordering a few dishes easily adds up. Can get quite pricey for simple dishes but you do leave feeling full. Ive tried the oysters, pasta dishes, black pepper beef and eggs, chicken wings and everything was good! Some orders gets you a free drink (iced/ hot milk teas). Nice bright spacious space in Downtown Markham!

Waited around 10 minutes to be seated during a busy weekend morning. The food came very quickly, and the portions were huge. They definitely did not skimp on the toppings for the seafood tomato soup, and the spaghetti was loaded with sauce.

This restaurant is inside the very busy Fairview Mall, in front of the T&T supermarket. We were seated at the "indoor patio" of this restaurant. I think it's the better location because it is more spacious. It's very suitable for people like us with kids. The food was ok, but nothing very impressive, and their prices were more expensive than their competitors. I like their drinks, though. We were there because we had pictures with Santa in Fairview Mall

Everything good to say about Good Catch Cafe: - Great service. The server was attentive to details and making sure we got the right food. - The menu choices were extensive! So much good dishes to choose from. - I went with Singapore kway teow. We had a choice of spice level, so I stayed with regular. When the dishes came out, we were pleasantly surprised by the large quantity. Loved it!!! - The environment was great with lots of tvs. Great place to chill and watch sports. A recommend.

October 22, 2025 - I got C13 - Pork chop with onion sauce on rice. My girlfriend got the baked double cheese on spaghetti (I forget which one exactly). Both meals also came with a complimentary tea, which I did not get a picture of. Anyways, I really enjoyed the pork chop. The portion was a huge. The sauce and pork chop went really well with the rice and made sure each bite had flavour. The pork chop had a bit of fat on it, but that brought out the flavour and made it juicy. There were so many items on the menu and I wouldn't mind coming back again to try other items.

Quite disappointed with the service tonight dining on the right side where they serve HK café food The vibe was great at the bar side with all the TVs and the Jays game playing I understand the Jays were playing today but how are the servers so unattentive. Upon entering on a Sunday night, the hostess stand and wait area was crowded with lost patrons and one hostess running around The hostess finally acknowledged our need for a table for the cafe side but then forgot about us so we waited a while because she was just seating the left bar side of the restaurant. We even asked if we should get a wait number but she said no .. then forgot about us. When we got to our still dirty table with a preset (left over) plate with 3 spoons, we were not offered any waters. We had to flag for service and ask for it. We ordered (1) an assorted steak rice and egg, (2) a Bolognese meat sauce spaghetti/ tomato sauce chicken rice, (3) wings with fries and (4) shrimp toast with fries. The food came really quick however, our first dish (the assorted steak) was fully missing the fried egg. We had to tell the server but instead of just apologizing and bringing and egg, I'm not sure why the whole plate had to be taken away. We were also not given any utensils upon having our dishes delivered. So when 3 other dishes were delivered by the same two servers, no one offered us utensils while I just sat looking at my dish. Am I expected to use my hands or that left over spoon? We worked with what was already on the table ... Which were 3 spoons and one plate for a bit but seriously .. we got steak. I'd expect any attentive server to realize that when you dropped off any of those dishes that we can't just eat with one spoon. We had to flag down the server a couple of times to get one fork, one more fork, one knife and 2 more plates .... And we had to tell the server were missing a whole fried egg as our first dish. The milk tea was also bland and watered down. Overall the food was ok but the service was definitely lacking tonight. Hopefully it was just a one off night for them because of the game.

Good Catch Café remains my favorite HK style café, despite so many other restaurants opening up around Toronto and the GTA. The service is efficient, although the portions have shrunk dramatically, which seems to be the norm. It would be great if they offered non-caffeinated drinks to their included meals. While I absolutely love HK milk tea or iced tea, it keeps me up all night long. Another favorite restaurant of ours offers hot or cold almond milk for no additional fee. Plenty of parking and seating, and we have to try the newer location at Fairview Mall.

This place offers comforting Hong Kong style meals, and most of their options includes a drink for a very reasonable price! The decor is on the dark side, so keep that in mind if you're coming with young children. However, it's completely safe and comfortable. The servers are friendly and the dining area is spacious. You can order at the table via QR code for convenience. Pricing is super reasonable, plenty of parking outside. The food quality is good and super generous in portion size. We left soooo stuffed! The free included drinks were solid as well, with a good variety of options like cold or hot milk tea, and juice/water options. The menu is expansive, so there is sure to be something for everyone. The place is clean as well.

I have been recommended this place for awhile but never had a chance to try it until now. This is at downtown Markham. Ambiance - 4/5: sports bar so it's on the darker side. There are overhead lights. It is a little brighter near the windows during the day. Service - 3.75/5: you are given a physical menu but there is a QR code on a printed piece of paper to access and order food from the online menu. There are quite a lot of choices. They are quick to seat you, bring you the menu and bring out the food. However, when you need service intermittently or when you are trying to get the bill, it takes awhile to catch their attention. There is a little bit of tunnel vision. They focus on going from point A to point B and don't really look up. Food - 4/5: it's good - elevated Hong Kong cafe style food flavours. I got the Prawn and Beef Egg on Rice. The egg was moist and fluffy. Prawns were large and had good texture. There was also a lot of rice so this is quite filling. I also ordered an iced milk tea. It's a standard milk tea. Overall: 4/5 - I don't mind coming here for a meal, especially if I am watching a movie at the Cineplex, before or after.

The flavor is always consistent, but their sizzling plate fell short on our most recent visit (a few months back). I was so excited about this nostalgic dish when I saw it on the menu, however the plate was not hot enough. There was hardly any sizzle and the onions and broccoli remained raw. The meal was lukewarm.... sauce and the remaining food was pretty good however.

This is different then most restaurants I've been to and I think I like it. You order online and then you choose a drink from a pre set selection and customize your order. It all came relatively fast and if you are allergic to anything you ca tell them and they can take it out. Even though we ordered through our phones we did talk to our waitress a little bit and she was very accommodating. I will say the idea of everything being on their phones is a little sad but you know that is life now. The overall vibe was American sports bar with Chinese elements. I personally didn't not come for that but it did have a definite Hong Kong cafe aura. So I guess that what they were going for.

We ordered the baked pork chop on rice with gravy as well as the fish tacos. The pork chop was delicious and the cheese and gravy complimented the rice so well. The fish tacos were tasty and had big portions. The service was great and the food was served in a timely manner. The ambience was nice with lots of televisions to keep people entertained.

So thick, fresh ingredients, and stuffed with awesomeness in between the breads. Milk tea was silky smooth and hot too. A truly 10/10 execution in an authentic HK café (CCT) style. Second time went there was run buy a few teens or perhaps uni students. Missed orders with eternal waiting after talking with them. Ended up with a cold French toast as the dish was used as a "café intern tutorial teaching material" behind the counter with lots of talking over it. No point to mess up my Saturday morning mood with innocent young people. I was young once and always tried to figure different things out with my hands, but not giving instructions literally on top of customers food though. (Sigh in a long deep breath...) Would I visit there again? Well, maybe... check first to see who's the chef of the day before sitting down. LOL.

Great place to go for families with children. We tried their Sham-Shui-Po Snack Platter* which was excellent. Loved the bean curd shrimp rolls and the fish balls. This was my favourite platter. Next we tried the Baked Tomato Cheese Pork Cutlet on Spaghetti. They were generous with the pork slices portion and there were quite a few cubed tomato pieces too. The Thick Luncheon Meat & Egg Instant Noodles were good with chopped scallions and sesame seeds. This was a popular order! We selected from the Afternoon Tea Menu - a freshly baked, crispy crust-topped Pineapple Bun with cold Butter which came with good quality tea used for their hot Hong Kong Milk Tea. Delicious tasting tea! We met the owner Maggie who was very personable and the staff were also nice and helpful. So many menu options to choose from. Very authentic. Good quality and great taste. We came here on a Wednesday night, and the place was pretty crowded. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they served tea at the table, which I really liked. We were a party of four and shared four dishes. We started with the pineapple bun filled with satay beef, the beef inside was very tender and flavorful. We also ordered the Singapore-style fried vermicelli, which came with BBQ pork, shrimp, and vegetables. Another dish we tried was the fried noodle with bean sprouts and beef in soya sauce, and this ended up being my favorite. The noodles were well seasoned, and adding chili oil really took it to the next level. For dessert, we got the black sesame French toast with golden syrup. I'm a big fan of HK-style French toast, and this one did not disappoint. The syrup wasn't overly sweet, and the black sesame flavor came through nicely.
