While visiting family in NOLA we found CC's. It was a few blocks from our Airbnb and we would walk there and enjoy a warm caffeinated beverage and breakfast. I am gluten-free so I had their egg bites. Others in my party enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches. It was a great way to get a quick bite and start our day in NOLA.

This is a very chill location of CCs. The crowd trends older and local. It's one of those weirdly-shaped buildings that's triangular. They have a good amount of outdoor seating. During busy times the indoor seating doesn't always accommodate everyone who wants to sit outside. The staff is usually friendly and efficient. And the coffee is pretty much the same as CCs everywhere - consistently overroasted!

I LOVE this CC's! The location is fantastic. It's located on beautiful Esplanade Avenue, and the building is a uniquely shaped like a slice of your favorite pie. We used to ride our bikes here when our family lived nearby, but now that it's too far to bike, we drive. There is street parking, and even if you don't snag a rock star spot, you can park wherever, and enjoy the walk. The neighborhood is gorgeous, and it's a great area to people watch. Once inside the place is super cool. Lots of local artists hang their stuff for decoration and for sale, and the prices aren't bad. If there's a line when you arrive, it usually moves quickly. The coffees and teas are delicious and so are the blueberry muffins. Today I actually decided to behave myself and ordered a wheat bagel. Yes, it's still a big, toasty, carb covered in cream cheese - and it was GOOD. My daughter had the peppermint bark mochasippi. Wow. I'm not usually a big peppermint lover, but today, thanks to this drink, I was. There is seating inside and out, and you can't go wrong either way. Maybe I'm waxing nostalgic about this CC's because this was my old hood, but I keep coming back, so I think it's truly the bomb.

An AMAZING place. They will hand you a stale croissant or bagel as if it's normal. Incredible. Never going back.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgable, both about books and the coffee. Every single coffee drink I've tried is absolutely outstanding. My favorite so far is If Beale Street Could Talk, a cayenne-infused mocha. It is spicy, smoky and delicious. The bookstore is lovely, too. They have plenty of events, and there are always at least a few crowds hanging around. Their selection is lovely and I always find a few new books to read. Beautiful outdoor patio, plus they have a small recording studio for podcasts (I think) and a bunch of tables, games, puzzles, etc. I love this spot! I think about their drinks all the time

When we visited, it was crowded, but there was an event going on outside. Additionally, groups were there to meet and have coffee and chat. They have a coffee bar that appears to be well appointed. The book selection is wonderful. So many James Baldwin titles, including some you don't see regularly. They do online orders, so if you are looking for Baldwin books or books on Black history/social justice, consider buying from this Black owned business instead of Amazon. They also have a beautiful air bnb for rent. As mentioned in other reviews, this is in the Marigny/Bywater neighborhood and can be made part of a full day of activities, including JamNola and Allways Lounge and great restaurants.
