For ambiance, Flagpole NOLA is such a cute coffee shop. On a corner along a charming street, a Cuban man runs the cafe making strong coffee and pastries. Parking along a nearby street, I ordered a hazelnut latte. It was made with love, but wasn't my favorite latte. However, the experience was great from service to space. read more

Day 7 of NOLA Coffee Crawl Creative use of space that brings together the community. They have an abbreviated menu and hours for now, but the current offerings are still worth the trip. Park your Blue Bike here and sit at one of the outdoor tables. Bring Fido and he'll get a tasty treat! I tried the iced latte, plain, and I'm glad I did- the coffee had a smooth, complex flavor that didn't need help. Also got a fruit turnover that I think was guava...flaky and delicious! Will come back for a snoball or smoothie sometime soon, and you should too! read more

Cute place, lousy coffee. I think their espresso machine is dirty because the coffee tastes like Starbucks before they went to their super automatic, super annoying machines. Also, any place buried in Torani syrups either makes hordes of frappechino or is trying to run a shave ice business. Neither of these things relates to a good cup of coffee, sadly. Nice people, cute building. Get your coffee elsewhere. read more

Everytime I'm in town I come to this place for coffee. I'm in a hotel with a whole kitchen and I won't touch the hotel coffee. The quality , The customer service, The location!!! All so perfect and just a great spot to come have a coffee, relax, read a book, and enjoy the beauty if this street & place ! I finally got their snowballs! I got a raw pineapple snowball with condensed milk and it was AMAZING! I usually never finish my snowballs because they can be too sweet, but the raw pineapple juice( or concentrate or whatever they use) was perfect and I finished it so fast. Adding condensed milk is the perfect touch. The snowball is going to be way more expensive then your typical snowball you can get around the city, but the quality is there to justify it. read more

Best Cuban coffee in NOLA. Great stop while riding the Esplanade Ave bike route to the Quarter. You can't miss the shop. An old 1950's Chevy BelAir is parked on the street in front of the shop. I always get the Cortadito and a croissant. Andreas always has a smile and a friendly disposition. read more

We were excited to try New Orleans style shaved ice but this place was a bit underwhelming. Parking is street parking only, prices are high, and honestly not the best shaved ice I've ever had. I would pass and try some of the other places nearby. read more

Located along historic Esplanade Ave, The Flagpole Nola is not only the CUTEST little snowball stand this side of Esplanade, it is also the BEST with its awesome array of "all natural" snowballs made with raw juices for a healthy snowball alternative. Don't worry, if you're not into that "healthy" option, they have all the traditional flavors like tigers blood, wedding cake, strawberry, and even condensed milk to add. Andres there is super friendly and helpful if you can't decide on a flavor (like me ). I went to Flagpole Nola twice in one day! First I had the oh so tasty Raw Mango juice mmmmmm and then I went back a few hours later for an amazing tigers blood snowball. 10/10 highly recommend you stop by! i've seen the flagpole on insta a few times, so when one of my friends suggested it i was so excited to go. this is the perfect outdoor neighborhood spot to chat and snack and drink good coffee. i love that they sell fresh snoballs along with coffee and other snack and breakfast items. the staff as well as the owner was so incredibly nice and helpful. we got coffee and a few snoballs and sat outside on a sunday morning and it was so relaxing and pretty. the christmas decorations really made it so much more charming as well. since following on insta, it looks like they have live music quite a few days a week as well. the parking was easy and they had tons of it on the streets surrounding. i loved our time here and will definitely be suggesting to others! read more

This is an adorable outdoor snoball and coffee cafe in a quaint neighborhood. My mom and I stopped here for a quick iced latte and ended up staying a bit longer because the kind gentleman employee brought out a table and chairs for us. The menu is small but consist of the essentials, which is great for me because of my indecisiveness lol. read more

This place was empty pretty much the majority of the time I've lived in New Orleans since 1996. I never understood why it sat empty for so long and I was so excited when I saw this cute little coffee shop open up. It's sort of close to my house but I drive by it all the time so one day I stopped in to get a cuppa coffee and I must say it's the best cuppa coffee ever had in New Orleans. I have a coffee shop right next to my house that I go to pretty much every day in the morning and the coffee OK it's pretty good but this coffee is the smoothest and least bitter I've ever had. The owner is a very nice person also (assuming the guy that I spoke to was the owner I think it was). I highly recommend stopping by and getting a cup of the drip coffee! read more

It's almost 5:30 and this charming place is still open. BEST shaved ice and great prices. I got a small chocolate shaved ice that is so good and took me half hour to eat. $1.75. The man was so kind, too, and there is a gentle feel to the tables and corner with the big trees on Esplanade. read more

We love this place. We are locals that live nearby. The guy who runs this shop completely re-did the building, which used to be a total eye sore, but it has great curb appeal now.
