This business is pretty bad. They overprice everything they were trying to sell mega evolutions booster packs for 11 dollars a week after release. The lady at the front desk was pretty nice but I extremely disliked the man in the back who was in charge of the Pokémon. I went in to sell my old childhood collection and I kept getting thrown disgusting lowballs. He kept making snarky comments because he had to do his job. Might I add he also looks exactly like how you would expect them. Came in to trade a couple cards in for some in store credit they gave me $90 for about a dozen final fantasy cards(they were in Japanese) so I thought it was a fair price, came in the next week or two they were selling 4 of the 12 cards for over $80 and their booster boxes are outrageously expensive 50-100% markup. Service was great, not going there again. They are practically scalping go to a different store in PDX and save on money. read more

They haven't always had the best prices compared to other online retailers, but CCG House has a has always had a phenomenal selection of card singles, board games, role-playing game books, figurines and other nerd paraphernalia. Easily my first choice among game stores in Vancouver. read more

We enjoy supporting local Card Game businesses. And previous establishments we visited were courteous and provided valuable information on Card Gaming. But we endured the worst shopping experience at CCGHouse Games. We purchased multiple Game packs spending close to $290. Once home, a quick online search showed we over paid by 100% or more for each pack. We tried to return some of the packs, not all, an hour later (the driving time to and from the store). They refused to honor any returns. Citing their 'All Sales Final' policy and accusing us of tampering with the product when each are in sealed proof boxes. In discussing the return, we suggested a price match or even a discount making the price more reasonable (say 20% or 25% markup). The policy was again used as an excuse to charge us over twice the regular retail amount. We understand the onus was on us to check pricing prior to making a purchase. But we have supported other Card Game establishments, choosing to spend money locally even at a slightly higher cost. And none of those purchases were a disappointment. We feel this store was deceitful and miss leading in describing and selling their products. We hope others can learn from our experience and avoid CCGHouse Games. There are numerous other local Card Game stores who will support your gaming needs and provide you great products at fair prices. read more

TL;DR these people took my cards, wrote me a bad check that not even THEIR bank would cash, then made me wait 2 weeks until they would give me one that I COULD cash. Do NOT do business with these dim crooks. Do not--I repeat--do NOT do business with this place. I brought in a binder full of old cards. I was offered a (lowball) price for them and was told I could be paid in cash. They told me it shouldn't be a problem. When I went to pick up the money, I was handed a check. A check that looked like it had been scribbled on by a young child. When I asked why I wasn't getting cash, she--Sparrow--told me that I was NEVER told I could get cash and acted as though it was absurd to think that a business keeps cash on hand. A business that buys and sells collectibles every. Single. Day. I take the check, realize it's a Key Bank check. There are like two in the entire city, neither of which are anywhere NEAR me. "Don't worry," she says. "You can go next door, to the US Bank and cash it there. People do it all the time here." Well, we all know that isn't how it works, but I tried it anyway. Of course US Bank wouldn't cash a Key Bank check. So I try Fred Meyer. Wal Mart. And, eventually, drove 8 miles out of my way to try and cash it at a Key Bank. Nobody would cash it, of course. Because it looked like it had been written by a small child, as I said before. So, I bring the check back only to be told that I now have to wait 14 days to make sure the check they wrote me--the check I had just handed back to them--had not been cashed. So, I waited. When I finally was told I could come pick up MY money after THEIR mandatory waiting period, they hand me a second check--a printed cashier's check. Now, why wouldn't they have just given me a fully printed cashier's check in the first place?? These people are immature, not very bright children. I mean, I guess you can give them your money if you really want to, but I would HIGHLY discourage it. And DEFINITELY do not let them rip you off by selling them your collectibles. read more

Terrible customer service. It is quite a drive for me to make it to this shop. The first time i went for an event they had posted online in a facebook group. I made the 40 min drive up for the event, and they were closed. The second time I intended to go, I called ahead to see if they were going to be open and to see if they were going to have the event. I couldn't get a straight answer out of the employee as to whether the event was likely to fire, he couldn't tell me usual turnout or prize support. He assured me they were having the event though. Against my better judgement, I decided to chance it. Showed up and there was absolutely no one there. He knew they usually had bad turnout and that it was unlikely to fire, but he led me on. The worst part was when I asked him about it in person, he just danced around the question like a politician trying to avoid a question. Could not get a straight answer out that weasel. He was not apologetic at all. If anything, he was rather smug about the whole thing. Not good for business. Left empty handed twice, and never going back. Would give 0/5 if I could. read more

They let my son do his birthday party here and we're oh so hospitable. The staff hung out with us to explain how to play Magic The Gathering, then showed us how to build our own decks. They were extremely warm and welcoming. Many, many games to buy and lots of games set ups in the front where a game created was demoing theirs while we were there. Will be making a habit of getting over there for their Friday night tournaments for newbies (at least that's how I interpreted it). read more

Worst card store in the Pacific North West. I brought in cards to sell and the employee damaged a card while "inspecting" it. I sold 1 of the cards they offered me $5 IN STORE CREDIT on Ebay for $17 Disrespectful employees and VERY poor selection of cards, most of which are priced $3-7 higher than every other shop in town. Location Decent, Selection Good, Customer Service beyond abysmal. My roommate and I are fans of Keyforge and we intended on going to the event they had advertised in a facebook group. We live roughly 40 min - 1 hour away from this shop so we called ahead to ask what the turnout was like for this shop on keyforge events. The person we spoke to skirted extremely hard around the subject saying something to effect of, "We haven't had that many events, so I can't tell you what the turn out would be." The way he spoke made it seem like it might just be a few people. He also mentioned prize support making it seem like they had events before. I had a bad vibe about it but my roommate wanted to go, so I figured why not. We get there and sign up and peruse the shop for a bit waiting. Eventually we over heard an employee say something along the lines of they were getting closer to an event firing at least 2 people showed up this time. This comment made it seem like they were aware that events had not fired in the past. So we walk to the counter and ask what the situation was, and we were told there weren't enough people to fire the event, in a completely unapologetic manner. I confronted him on the subject that we had previously called to see what the turnout would be like, and once again the employee skirted around the subject and was in fact rather smug about the whole thing claiming he had done nothing wrong. The denial of the situation was jaw dropping. So all in all we drove roughly 1.5 hours round trip, to be disrespected and or lied to, not play any games, and leave empty-handed. Most shops in my experience are at least understanding when they waste peoples time, they offer a sincere apology or some form of minor compensation. That employee single-handedly earned this shop this review and lost them our patronage ever again. If you value customer service I sincerely do not recommend giving this shop your business, as based on other reviews from both yelp and google this seems to be a pattern. read more

They have alot of stuff in stock but that is because alot of it is insanely over priced. My kids collect and play MTG and Pokemon. I went to try to get them some pokemon packs or ETBs. They were so outrageously priced it was well over 4x regular MSRP for the boxes which explains why they had so many in stock. Horrible. I went in looking for a box of boosters and a fat pack. I waited in line only to be told to wait at the side since they were having a magic event sign up even though they let people in front of me buy and pay for their things. I waited for the line to die down and approached the counter again only to be told the same thing. Finally after an hour of waiting "the sales associate" was finally willing to help me. In mid sentence he proceeded to walk off and help another customer who was trying selling a 10$ card... Pretty sad considering I was about to drop 200$+ I proceeded to go to bat cave and spent about 60$ less on the same booster box and fat pack. read more

My husband and I have been playing Keyforge lately and were in the mood for cracking some new decks. I called around and all the game stores were out - except CCG House. And the young man I spoke to on the phone was very friendly. I also found out that they host Keyforge tourneys twice a week. When I went in the place was busy. Unless you talk and work with the manager, those guys are dicks and WILL rip you off simply for the fact that you may look like you don't understand magic. Went there there with $300 dollar order I was patronized and treated like shit. Plus, I was severely ripped off and was only given $40. It's not worth the time when there are plenty of shops and amazon that will buy your cards. I heard some really negative reviews of this place and was a little worried about going due to the negative attention it got. I went in yesterday to CCGHouse to get some cards for my Magic The Gathering Standard Deck I was building as a brand new player. I disclosed that I was a new player and looking for cards for a standard deck to the manager, a large man with tattoos for anyone who sees him- do not trust him he will card shark you. He sold me 2 Soren Lord of Innistrad's and professed that the cards would be good in my standard deck, the cards are eight years old and definitely not in standard as they were most recently printed in 2012. I spent $16 on these two cards under the impression that I would be getting cards for a standard deck, I was wrong. The store manager conned me into buying two useless cards as a new player to the game. I opted not to get a receipt because I expected this card store to not try and scam a first time customer but I was wrong. I will never come back here again after the awful impression the store manager left on me by scamming me of cards. Diceage has my business from now on. read more

Do yourself a favor and find other places to play magic/games. Fun place to be good game nights, but there are only 1 or 2 good employees there. There is a few who would rather screw you over by trying to buy valuable items for dirt cheap prices. And if they see you are out to buy stuff the manager will step on his employee to get the credit and over charge you. Great place to play but not a play to do trades or buy from. read more
