My one and only visit to Mindtaker Miniatures (so far!) was the result of a lucky windfall: finding a board game I wanted for cheap online, only to discover it was being sold by this local retailer, and available for free pickup, making it even cheaper! Noice! Upon entering, I was greeted cordially by the person at the counter, given a tour of the shop, and an explanation of their (mostly secondhand, but high quality) business model that allows them to undercut other shops, as well as the predatory pricing of certain miniature manufacturers (if you're a wargamer, you know who I'm talking about). Everything from RPG books, figurines, paints, board games, dice, toys and accessories can be found within, new and/or used, and if you're okay with a gently loved, open box copy of whatever it is you're looking for, it's likely going to be a steal of a deal! I can't even begin to tell you how amazing their staff is! I showed up in tears and they instantly comforted me and made me feel at home. I lost my husband and every time I went into the garage and saw his boxes of Warhammer armies, it brought me to my knees. I needed to let them go but every time I posted them for sale I'd get rude super low offers and people telling me they weren't worth anything but they would be glad to take them off my hands for free. Even had one person offer to take them as long as I paid for shipping them to him. I'm brand new to the area and I can easily tell you that this establishment has secured a consumer and supporter for life. Thank you to Mindtaker Miniatures and your staff, for making this so much easier for me, and for giving me a fair and reasonable price for my husbands collection. It does my heart good knowing my husbands collection will go on to people who will love and appreciate it as much as he did. There is something satisfying about the way Mindtakers is set up. Instead of walls of pristine boxes it's shelves of pristine baggies filled with parts and whole models, game rules, and a staff that is happy to spend time showing you around. Normally I'll spend time looking and googling to see what's inside the box, but here I can just see the items as I want and it lets me know what I'm getting and plan some interesting combinations. Plus - super eclectic vintage and classic games. Add in all the paint supplies I'll need and I'm happy. It's my new go-to store. read more

I took a chance on Mindtaker Miniatures to buy a hard-to-find table top game called Dishonored by Modiphius. This rulebook was released mainly in Europe and all sellers in the US had either marked up prices or simply just didn't have it in stock. I found their store on ebay actually and was going to buy the item there but decided to google them as I figured they may have a website. I was lucky to find their site and a listing of all the tabletop/miniatures they had in stock. I was quite happy with the selection. I took a chance on buying my first item from them and it arrived well-packaged in the mail quite quickly. The item was just as described and I was able to even save a couple dollars buying it directly from them, compared to their store on ebay. I am now happy and convinced that this is a real-store that is legit and has some good deals as well. I also signed up for their email newsletter/ads and have seen some nice figures listed on sale. Mindtaker is my favorite store in Vancouver. They support the local gaming and tabletop community as well as local makers and artists. It's my go to hub for anything miniature painting related or TTRPG. They have a great stock of mini paints, pigments, basing materials, models etc and their team is incredibly helpful, friendly and passionate about the hobby and customers! Photo below is of a model I purchased in their store and the majority of paints and materials were purchased from the shop.
