Christmas ornament - 40% off Christmas items
    Porsche S.

This is a brand spanking new hobby lobby located in the Vancouver mall near H&M. They are open everyday except for Sundays. They opened in September and have consistently had a line outside the door. On a Monday I decided to take a ride down there for some items. I got there around 10:45 am. There was no line, but there was a lady standing inside the doorway noting the amount of people entering on her iPad. When I got there I realized how massive this store was and was immediately overwhelmed looking for the items that I needed. I decided to flag down a worker to ask for help. She willingly helped me even though she didn't quite know where it was. She even asked a few other workers if they knew where it was. Finally she found it for me. I was a little shame, but I decided to ask for a couple other items on my list because there was no way I would've found it on my own! They were more than willing to help me even if I may have been interrupting their stock re-shelving time. They really do have outstanding customer service here and they are not afraid to ask for help just to find your item for you! I honestly can't wait to visit when I have more time on my hands to actually browse through what items they do have. Be sure to reserve an hour or two to make your way through this store! Also, they have some pretty good sales going on now! For example, 40% off Christmas items!

Cashiers here never take to sale percentage off. Check before you leave store. This happens every time.

What don't they have here?!? I always learn something new when I go. I love that they are closed on Sunday for the Lord's Day too.

Nothing like an older employee talking crap about you in the aisle because you're looking at pillow cases for so long.

Here's how it felt to me: - Luxurious Setting: The store is elegantly designed with carefully curated furniture pieces. Soft lighting highlights the fine details of beautifully crafted tables, plush sofas, and intricate decor. - Aesthetic Appeal: The ambiance is inviting and serene, with well-thought-out displays that make you imagine how the furniture would look in your home. - Indifferent Staff: Salespeople are present, but they seem preoccupied. They were quietly chatting among themselves, paying little attention to customers. The contrast of Beautiful vs. Unwelcoming was striking. The juxtaposition of the store's luxurious, inviting decor with the indifferent, almost cold demeanor of the staff creates an unsettling contrast. Weird vibe here. I left without making a purchase. I do want to point out that the City Home store on 1101 SE 3rd Ave. inPortland doesn't share this vibe. I'll just go there next time.

In addition to the huge on-site selection, they have an enormous catalog of anything one could possibly need. Many furniture items can be customized with a huge variety of fabrics or layouts. After about 5 minutes, I asked for some help from people standing nearby who had looked at me several times at the desk (they had looked straight at me prior). I said I wanted to purchase a bed and was asked how much I wanted to spend. My response was I would buy what I liked, it didn't matter the cost. The woman said that there was 'quite a range' to which my reply was 'I can handle it.' It was obvious she didn't think I could because I was dressed in my 'day off clothes.' I left. Will not ever return. Really sad that they treat people so poorly. I don't believe I should have to dress up to shop. I dress up at work.

Very cute clothes that are priced certainly 60% of what they'd sell in retail. Cute jewelry as well. I got my Graduation dinner dress here. The reviews stating that the store wasn't open when they popped in have to realize the store is open based on customer demand. If you come in during January when people are still recovering from overspending on Christmas, it's not going to be open as late as if everyone's tax returns just hit. The store is almost always open before 4. Just come in then. Small businesses can't pay employees during hours where people are not in the store, that's silly. Melissa is amazing, if you write a review over a minor inconvenience that stays on the businesses track record forever.

This store is like the Mecca of home stores. And I'm lovin' it!…read more I was here today on Black Friday, of all days. It was crowded, yes, but I expected that. Despite the chaos of the parking lot outside, everyone in the store was cordial and well-behaved and everyone seemed happy to be there and were all in a holiday mood. And holiday and seasonal items were everywhere. This store has the largest selection of Christmas items and gift ideas (and even some Hanukkah ones, too!) of any home store I've been to in a long, long time. A small sampling of the items here: gourmet candies and chocolates (many already boxed and packaged and wrapped for gift-giving, and many from Belgium or elsewhere in Europe. Really pretty!), gourmet oils and vinegars and spices and pastas and sauces, lotions and potions and bath bombs and soaps, all sorts of beauty and skin care items, all sorts of bathroom and kitchen items and gadgets and linens and towels, decorative pillows and throws, gorgeous cutting boards and serving trays and bowls and plates, picture frames, wrapping papers and boxes and cards, toys and games, pet items of every sort, artificial trees and wreaths and figurines and stockings, more candles than you can imagine, and stationery and pretty home office supplies. And more, so much more. As much as I mentioned above, I know I am leaving out a lot. The line to check out was quite long, but it moved along a good clip, and there were lots of fun items lining the shelves to check out as we moved forward towards the cashiers. It was an efficient process, as every cashier counter was staffed today (being Black Friday and all), so no complaints here. All in all, my kid and I loved visiting this store and if I lived in Portland, this would definitely be one of my go-to places!
