These acrylic chairs fir $99 each are a steal! Unfortunately someone saw them before I did.

HomeGoods is the Goods! Can't drive by one without stopping in to see what's new as inventory is constantly added. So many on-trend items: - mid century modern furniture - faux succulents - fall pumpkins in shades of pink, light blue, white, silver. Remember when pumpkins were orange? LOL - beautiful wrapping papers and occasion cards - inexpensive statement art - modern outdoor furniture - mid century area rugs - acrylic chairs (got there too late; they were on hold for someone) - prelit white birch Christmas Trees, so beautiful! - huge selection of pillows in the "it" colors or seasonal images I've decorated my new condo with so many items from the HomeGoods in the Portland vicinity, they all have the same plus different stuff so you have to make the rounds! I definitely have an "eye" for design, as my friends say, and can breeze up and down the aisles and spot the unique pieces instantly. Most of the time, however, I spend a solid hour here taking my time, taking it all in! Would hate to miss something! Unfortunately my house is now completely furnished and decorated so something has to be absolutely spectacular in order for me to purchase. Reason being, I'd have to get rid of something i love in order to take in something new! Including holiday items. So now I go on hunts for my friends. And for their children who are decorating their first apartments or homes. I've become the personal shopper for everyone! This store gets more crowded than the others because of the location but I don't mind. If I want to shop with less people or when the store is better organized, I come when it opens or later at night. When there, don't forget to check out the food and pantry items. Uniquely shaped pastas in gorgeous colors and the best Italian condiments can be found here; typically challenging to find in Portland. Customer service has been great, they do their best to move customers through the long checkout line. If you are there during lunch, expect it to take longer than usual, it is what it is. To avoid the dreaded question the sales clerks are forced to ask - do you want to apply for their credit card or give a donation to a charity? - as soon as I reach the cash register I proactively say I'm not interested in their card and want to pay with mine. It stops them from having to repeat the script and makes the transaction easier for both of us.

CONFLICTING HOURS. closes at 9!!!!!! Sundays at 8. Some of the employees are quite mad when you come in late :( but it says 9:30 everywhere else.

    Starbucks K cups. Score!

The goal was to test out all different styles and features until we decided what we liked. All different price points. Our current couch is 15 years old and it's time to replace it. My son fell in love with a corduroy pull out sectional with a "Cuddler" corner at Furniture Shack, and no other ones were up to snuff. He would not stop talking about the potential movie nights we could have on this couch. We went back to Furniture Shack the next day to sit on the couch again to confirm that it "had enough sink, Mom" and that's when we met Brett. He was super low pressure and they have the most adorable Yorkies eveeerrrrr. No snakey salesman pitch, no trying to push you into a sale. He sat and chatted and was down to earth and so easy to work with. What an honest, respectable business you operate, sir. We purchased the sectional and will continue to spread the word of your business. Very affordable pricing, and trust me when I say it's the best bang for your buck; we literally did all the footwork. I'll update this review with our first movie night after it's set up in a couple weeks!

Here's how it felt to me: - Luxurious Setting: The store is elegantly designed with carefully curated furniture pieces. Soft lighting highlights the fine details of beautifully crafted tables, plush sofas, and intricate decor. - Aesthetic Appeal: The ambiance is inviting and serene, with well-thought-out displays that make you imagine how the furniture would look in your home. - Indifferent Staff: Salespeople are present, but they seem preoccupied. They were quietly chatting among themselves, paying little attention to customers. The contrast of Beautiful vs. Unwelcoming was striking. The juxtaposition of the store's luxurious, inviting decor with the indifferent, almost cold demeanor of the staff creates an unsettling contrast. Weird vibe here. I left without making a purchase. I do want to point out that the City Home store on 1101 SE 3rd Ave. inPortland doesn't share this vibe. I'll just go there next time.

I wanted to see if there is a Kmart near the area so I did a Yelp search for Kmart, this Portland Closeout store popped up. After glancing at Yelp photos, the 20 % off Yelp check in caught my eye, and the funny t-shirts, the ones on their profile pic. I asked my personal Uber driver ( my other half) to take me. You will not miss this place, there is a huge business sign and parking is available on both sides of the lot. I don't know where to begin looking, the store is clutter but it is a good clutter. There are tons and tons of stuff. Its like a one stop shop, Things you need in Chinatown and the flea market combined together. I am pretty sure you will find something you don't need but actually need here. Just like my experience here. I had fun looking around, Lets see this shop is HUGE! There are sandals, shoes, clothing for mens, womens, children, tshirts, hats, make up, hair accessories, phone accessories, even blankets. If you can't find what you are looking for, ask the owner, she is super friendly. I recall her name is Long. I had fun talking to her and she helped me find what I was looking for. As I mentioned I found 2 items that I didn't need but needed. I saw 2 hats , I didn't think I needed it but bought it for my mom and good friend. ( they both love hats!) I came to shop not looking for hats and not needing it but then I am so glad I bought them because my mom and good friend loved the hats. I also bought those funny saying shirts to give away as souvenirs. They are pretty funny! I was able to use my 20 percent Yelp check in and I am so happy to discover a new place in Portland. I noticed the blankets are cheap, they are the really soft blankets which comes in different color, prints, and even comes with a bag. I remember those blankets, during my childhood days my mom used to buy that blanket for us and I remember they cost more than what Portland Closeout sells them for. I am going to buy a blanket next time I visit. After paying for my items, Long mentioned that her husband is at the store across. Note: Portland Closeout is in 2 separate shop. The store is in front where Long's husband manage has all household items for your kitchen, home and garden which includes furniture, plants, even paintings. This store does look clutter as well, but its a good clutter!! I noticed children's bicycles out in front. This store has EVERYTHING!! Overall, I love how I discovered this place and I enjoyed my shopping experience here. I will be back. If you just moved to Portland, Please check out Portland Closeout, I guarantee you will find products for your new place and you can thank me later!! #101/100/2017

This was one. And with good reason! Just entering the store, I was suddenly immersed in a calming, nature-filled environment (their patio and garden wares were at the front of the store when we entered. Not sure if this was a seasonal set-up or if the store is like this year-round. All I can say is, to walk into a store and be surrounded by calming greenery and lovely garden items, it was a very welcoming entrance). The store was very garden-focused but the more I explored inside, I found so many beautiful household accessories and thoughtful hostess gift ideas - or items that I'd love to get for myself! Household fragrances and lotions and potions (all high end products, nothing cloying or tacky), lovely household decor items, some gourmet food items, kitchenware.... I could go on. The folks behind the counter greeted us warmly but weren't intrusive as we explored the shop. Still, it was good to know they were there if we had questions or were looking for a specific item. If I lived in the city, this would definitely be a go-to store for me to get gifts or household niceties for myself (!).
