Personally i felt racially profile walking around the store my first time going there. at one point i had a few things in my hand and realized i should go back upfront to grab a basket, which was located by the front doors of the store. as im walking to grab a basket i realize an employee is following closely behind me and was clearly about to say something to me before noticing i was grabbing a basket, not about to steal craft paper and washi tape. she made some comment about how she always grabs more than she can carry aswell and i awkwardly laughed it off. the whole time i was in the store she was always somewhere near me (the store isnt super small so i found that weird). then when i get to checkout, the lady from before is standing at the counter, watching, once of again giving the vibe that she thought i was about to steal (mind u my mother was also with me and purchased something of her own too and that employee was NOT the one checking us out so she truly had no reason to stand there). the entire time i was in the store, this employee was following me & watching me much closer than the other customers. as a POC this is something ive dealt with before but i never expected it to happen in a craft store of all places. i felt extremely uncomfortable and the entire experience made me not want to go back. read more

I finally was able to check out the 'mother ship'. I've been a steady customer of the Beaverton location from it's original location, going back 20 years and was happy when the new Beaverton location opened much closer to my house. I have utilized the Beaverton location for all my framing, custom and non for decades. WOW - this store is so much larger than the one by me and has way more inventory so I am jealous for all my friends who live close by. I now know though that it is worth the drive or that I should drop in here. The name of the store IS Craft Warehouse but I actually rarely buy craft supplies. I happened to be nearby to see a movie and I have been needing to get four different frames for new art. I love wandering through a craft store though. Sometimes I find stuff (who am I kidding...usually I find A LOT of stuff) and sometimes I find ideas. I will say that the Craft Warehouse in Beaverton does seem to have a lot more creative ideas throughout done by employees with the different things they have for sale which I always find super inspiring. I have purchased so many things for home décor here. I have cats so having real indoor plants is rather challenging. Fake succulents are great and Craft Warehouse has some of the best ones at great prices. They have a lot of things I have not found at other craft stores. read more

I went to the Gresham store when they first opened. I needed to find a frame for a print I bought for my granddaughter. I did find one I thought would fit. I went to the counter where they did custom frames. After waiting awhile, a women came from the back room and asked if I needed help. I told her I needed a tape measure to see if the print I brought in would fit the frame I picked out. It was the correct size. I then asked if I could pay for it there and use the counter to put the print in, as I was on my way to drop off the gift to my granddaughter. She said no as the counter was for customers that are having custom frames made. I thought really number one I'm a customer and number two there was no one waiting to get help for a custom frame. read more

We came here, because we ate nearby, to find ribbons. We couldn't find any staff to help us. We covered each aisle, searching for ribbons! When we did found a staff, they didn't have a lot, only enough for floral arrangements, not for sewing, or other crafts. In other words, they could have been more organized! I did found one item, that maybe I need, and the price is right. As we check out, I was telling the cashier, my thoughts of this place, since this was our first trip here, instead she interrupted me, by saying something about my purse, and how it matches my coat, and that she own camouflage, lots of purple but no animal print. Pretty much craft central for everything you may need. Located in Gresham station, can be busy on the weekends. This location has nearly everything you could need. Not sure the best quality, but I do come here often and just shop around and find sweet treasures. I LOVE Craft Warehouse! I can't believe that I didn't realize I had some so close to my home! Actually, it's probably good that I wasn't aware because I could live there! I picked up several things for the day in the future when I have time to paint, use my cricut( that my husband gave me for Christmas several years ago and has never been out of the box) ...and paint on rocks! Craft warehouse has a little bit of everything... Paints, markers, brushes, spray paint in an unbelievable assortment of colors, easels, I can't think of the word, but the things you paint on in all kinds of sizes for beginners to professionals... I've been shopping here over 7 years now. Never had a problem with returns. Typically spend $40-$70 per month in gifts and craft items for my family. Recently bought a frame on clearance, marked down because of a nick on the wood. I can fix that! Get home, and I find that the sale sticker was placed on the matte, which damaged it when I attempted to remove said sticker. Brought into return, and was denied because "all clearance items sakes are final,no returns." #1- I was NOT told clearance items have a no return policy. #2 - the frame was on clearance for the nick, NOT the damaged caused by the store's sloppy placement of sale sticker. #3 - should I have have the magical foresight to have known said sticker would totally ruin the matte? So you would not budge band return my $5. Poor,callous, zero-understanding customer service. I was NOT trying to cheat the store. In fact, I was prepared to purchase the NEW frame at $24.99. The service was extremely rude. I'm not saying it was just one worker, majority of the people that I asked for help gave me a snarky attitude. Maybe they thought I was going to steal(?) but the workers were following me around everywhere I went. I asked a worker if they had anything extremely reflective that catches the eye, I wasn't looking for specific material because I know that would narrow down the options. And all she did was tell me she can't think of anything reflective, especially since "i can't help you if you don't know what you want" she already had an attitude and was looking me up and down and this comment really was the catalyst in me writing this review..... ANYTHING reflective? Seriously? You can't think of one thing?? She mentioned paper but im doubtful that's the ONLY reflective thing she could think of. I mentioned ANYTHING that was reflective/ shiny so you could see from a distance and so she could think of was paper..? It was obvious she didn't want to help me so I left her section. It felt very unwelcoming, the workers would ask if I needed help looking for anything in particular and when I would ask if they had a specific color or item they acted as I had inconvenienced them. read more

I have a very real medical exemption for not wearing masks, and today when trying to enter Craft Warehouse was denied entry into the Meridian, ID store because I'm not able to wear a mask. I was told by the lady at the front, manning the disinfecting desk that because the store/company is privately owned, the owners were not allowing non mask wearers entry. As per Idaho Central District Health ordinances, Item 4 B b "B. Facial coverings are not required to be worn under the following circumstances: b. Persons with medical conditions, mental health conditions, or disability that prevent them from wearing a face covering. A person is not required to provide documentation demonstrating that the person cannot tolerate wearing a face covering." Bad move Craft Warehouse. I will be taking my business elsewhere to stores who do not discriminate against medical disabilities. read more

The isles seemed to be going in different angles and nothing seemed to flow. I saw a few nick nacks on sale, but nothing really popped out and made me want to buy it. Interesting store to browse. I am compelled to give them a review out of frustration. I think this store sells expensive junk. They have a lot of cool stuff and different kind of varieties, but I think a lot of it is junk, my own personal experience. I bought some coloring pencils. And as you can see from the picture that I will post what happened to them after trying to sharpen them once. The led kept breaking off. I could not sharp them period...I also bought some expensive fine tip pens that lasted less than two math lectures before they ran out of ink. read more

I am NOT a crafty person at all, clueless about any of that stuff. I did have some sort of plan though walking in but had no idea what the items were I wanted so I just drifted around. I browsed about looking at different doodads and thinking, hmm.. that could work, oh that might work too.. I spent an hour at least going in circles like that. I finally decided to ask someone. She was wonderful. She tried to figure out what I needed and was very helpful and inquisitive. I ended up finding it too, thanks to her! Once I hit the cashier with all my goodies, she was also very kind. They had a coupon off and she told me she used it on the most expensive item I had in my basket. New location just opened in Gresham. Although I'm not a "crafty" person this place makes me want to start scrapbooking, knitting, jewelry making and overall redecorating......... Great selection here. Art supplies, fabric and sewing, frames, party planning, Christmas and holiday swag aplenty, and a large bead/jewelry making area. The store is large and they've fully utilized it. I will be back to pick up some xmas decorations as well as painting supplies. This is one of the biggest craft places in Portland (ok, so most big box stores aren't technically in Portland - this one is in Gresham, but still close to the MAX line). Craft warehouse, or as I like to call it "C-Dub", is not just a craft store it's an experience and a splendid experience at that. Some people think that Shakespeare's love ballads were about a man but if you've ever been to C-Dub you most certainly know that he was really describing the store. Sure you might visit these bumptious establishments like the "Hobby Lobby" or "Joann Fabric" but where is the charm in that? No, they are far too drab for me. Me and all my gentlemen do not associate ourselves with such pedestrian affairs. Now, I cannot give this review properly without mentioning the astounding customer service I received. A delightful employee, who's name I will not mention, made sure my experience at Craft Warehouse was truly grand. I was so lost in the conversation that I forgot what I had come in for. I was nervous at first but this employee's warm personality put me at ease. Simply put, C-Dub is my new place of worship. Crafts are temporary but Craft Warehouse is forever :) read more

I have been going in here for 17 years. I can't believe it has been that long. I don't go in there like I used to just because I don't do as much crafty stuff now days. They run some great deals on their summer sidewalk sale, which seems to run for at least a week. I found some good deals on frames not too long ago and by the time I left the store, I had to go get a cart. I only went for one thing, some clay, and walked out with a large cart full of sale items I, apparently could not live without. They have a diverse selection of items and the staff is really helpful when you need it. read more

I like the company and they have tons of cool things that are made by the salespeople to show awesome ideas. That being said i have been driving an extra 5 miles to go to vancouver where they have polite sales people. I did not have time to go 5 miles extra today, but i regretted it. The sales clerk manning the make and take card should NEVER man a station. She is rude, condescending, abrupt, and she must be one of the most miserable people i have met. This was not a bad day for her, she has been this way each time. She can not handle the pressure of 5 people and becomes snippy and flustered. It reminded me as to why i go to Vancouver. This store losses out on the sales of about $150 a month due to me walking out within 4 minutes of having to listen to this woman's mouth. Having worked at fabric depot and spending a lot pf time in similar craft stores im actually pretty impressed by the employees here, they are always happy and smiling no matter how much they put up with. They also have a massive selection of different craft items and always someone who can explain them to you (if your willing to be patient if they are already busy with another customer). Sode note though, their fabric is on average $2-$3 cheaper for the same fabric from other quilt stores so i always shop here. The savings dramatically add up if you're a quilter like myself. They often have sprints like coral queen of the sea and her accompanied cut and sew panel that sold out everywhere else. Seriously sweet people here, as a small chain it can get chaotic while its getting ready for special events and has some temp staff but soo worth it. read more

I like this place much better than Michaels. At Michaels, it seems like they have been there too long and they have lost some of their way. They keep things going and they keep people coming in, but it's not very fun. At this store, it is full of so much stuff and it is so creatively laid out, it's a whole lot of fun to spend time in the store! I'm typically one of the few guys in the store but everyone is very nice and I can always find what I need. They have a pretty good selection and other sorts of crap that I can get easily. Hard to imagine this was once a Borders Bookstore that I frequented a lot in my youth. This was my first time shopping at Craft Warehouse. I've always gone to local shows and online to get my materials, but being brand new in town I don't know where to go yet. So, I tried a chain. At first, I was pleased with the selection and friendly atmosphere of the store. Impressed with their selection for jewelry and metal art especially. Over in the back right corner they have a great selection! There was a nice older gal who asked if I need help, I was just browsing though. Getting ideas. I turned and came across drawing supplies, and another employee. That's when my experience went south. She asked me and my boyfriend if we needed help, and when we said no she left. Only to quickly push her work cart over near us and start LOUDLY marking items. Staring point blank at us. I'm in my thirties. Wore business attire under a hoodie. Like to think I carry myself well, if not just shy. (A lot of artists are). I was honestly really offended. I browsed grabbed a few things, but left them given how crappy that woman made me feel. Although they had a good selection of craft supplies, the employee security woman or loss prevention was the most terribly rude person on the planet I had my things, was ready to check out and realized that I had not checked their yarn selection. It was 15 min til closing, which I understand everyone wants to go home, but 15 was more than enough time to look at a few yarn colors on my way out. This woman all but grabbed me by my elbow and escorted me to checkout. Then my roommate reminded me that she was the reason we made sure to always go to Michaels and it dawned on me that was the same rude woman from months before. She is unhelpful, rude, has a foul mouth and does not have anY customer service etiquette whatsoever. I have managed stores, and her behavior is unacceptable. I will be calling and complaining this time. The rest of the employees were great. Hoping to return what I purchased as I refuse to spend my hard earned money to support such a terrible person. It can sometimes get overwhelming so I usually only stop in when I am on a mission for a particular item.
