I really wanted this artwork to stand out so I had Sally Dallas of MY PERSONAL FRAMER take my print and she wrapped it in the most beautiful frame without taking away from the print. That takes talent. It's craftsmanship at it's best. I have hung it in a prominent place and love looking at it. She is not cheap but if you have something special and you want it framed to make the special stand out and cost is not an issue then please see Sally. You won't regret it.

Sally single-handedly procures all the art, does all the incredible framing, provides the fun and personalized customer service, and displays the art in innovative ways - her front room, which is well lit at night and easily seen from Highway 99, is redressed on a regular basis and has about a gazillion coats of paint on the wall! Sally has superb taste in art and is super into the local art scene. Her commitment to Newberg is grand - she spearheaded the First Friday Artwalk program, a celebration of art, wine and food held every first Friday of the month from 5 to 9 p.m. throughout downtown Newberg. Every time I visit Sally I wish I had a bottomless pocketbook because I would easily walk out with one of these, one of those, oh and I'll take that, that, that and that....... Boersma's has a huge selection of fabric. What I have noticed lately is that the colors of fabrics are drifting towards "dull." I quilt with bright fabrics and they are becoming hard to find at Boersma's. I prefer to shop in a physical store rather than online, but with the closing of so many fabric/quilt shops there are limited choices of where to go. If Boersma's does not stock bright fabrics, I may need to turn to the internet. Shopping for fabric on the internet is iffy. I have received some wonderful fabrics with colors and patterns that I love, but I have also received some fabrics that had I seen in person, I would not have purchased. I really like Boersma's, but need more variety in brightness of fabrics.

I also was able to come here and get all my backing, batting and border materials for my quilts and I found that they have once a month class for quilting where I will be coming shortly to get instruction on hand quilting since it's pretty rare and you can't seem to find people to help you do that but they do here. Boersma is a wonderful old Sewing Center that has everything they even have vintage machines for sale which is right up my alley. I skip two Joanna's when I drive to here.
