As a Retiree, I recognized early on that I needed establish a focus to carry me through the remained of my life. The Springs offered its residents an introductory art class. I enjoy the process and within a short period began taking lessons from Ann Bruckner at The mosaic Art Loft in Sherwood. Because of the quality of the art instruction provided by Ann and her excellent staff, I've been privileged to have participated in three community art shows, and two shows at the Springs, and have sold a number of original art pieces; and still taking the occasional lesson from Ann and actively practicing and producing original multi-media art

Staff - the owner Ann and our teacher, Christina are absolutely amazing. 2 of our kiddos attended their classes for ~3 years and we loved the overall experience. Use of different medias, the overall process, availability of camps and even showcasing your kids' artwork at the local library or Art Center - are all amazing things that we experienced here. Our kids absolutely loved coming in and spending every Monday creating. COVID was a challenge for everyone, but Ann and Christina put together an amazing plan to engage with students virtually. While most extra curriculum activities (i.e. sports) were not available, Mosaic Arts Loft provided needed activity to our kids and they were looking forward to their weekly classes. If you are looking at options for your kids in the area - I highly recommend them. You will not regret and your kids will enjoy creating masterpieces that you will be able to proudly display in your home and gift to friends and families. Thank you!!!

She encourages you to personalize each painting with your own style. Each painting looks very much like hers, but with your personal touches. We always walk away feeling like we created a masterpiece. She is always very patient and encouraging to my son. This was his first experience with painting. She helped him to build his confidence in both his painting and in himself outside of painting. We really enjoy painting with Dena. We will continue to participate in her classes. We have created an amazing art space full of great memories at home.

Ted is not only a talented artist, but also a patient and inspiring teacher. He showed me how to turn a lump of clay into a beautiful bowl, step by step, with clear instructions and helpful tips. He also encouraged me to experiment with different shapes, textures, and colors, and to express my own style and vision. He made me feel confident and proud of my work, even though I had no prior experience with pottery. The studio itself is a cozy and inviting space. There are plenty of tools and materials to choose from, and everything is clean and organized. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive, and you can chat with other students or work quietly at your own pace. Ted is always there to answer your questions, offer feedback, or just share his passion for art. He creates a stress-free environment where you can relax and have fun. The first time, we were the only ones but this time he had a crowd. He had obviously done this before and provided a commentary all the way through from the time of the first pulled a blob of glass out to the time that he put it into the chest to cool. While there is nothing spectacular in the shop, it's a fun place to go for show and tell.

Signed up for this after being pressured on the phone. I asked about canceling on the phone as I…read morewas unable to view my calendar at the time. This was literally two days ago. After receiving the detailed information on the class this won't work for me and they are refusing to refund my money. Literally, two days later and no service has been provided (the class doesn't start for weeks). I was told it's part of their terms. When I reminded her I have never been provided her terms, not did I make any agreement to them, she emailed me a copy of the terms. I would not do business with any school this shady. You can even cancel at state schools and colleges if you do it within the timeframe (which they provide upfront).
