My wife bought some "heated" vest today that were on clearance with a sign that clearly said no returns. Before buying, she asked an employee if they needed batteries. The employee said: No-Just plug them into a USB. My wife read thru the directions at home and it was clear that they needed a battery. She attempted to return them immediately (1 mile away) and the shift leader "Renee" said that they will not accept returns on clearance items. The employee that helped my wife was right there and agreed that she had told my wife that batteries were not needed. Renee stuck to her guns and said: No returns! I can't believe in this day and age that people don't do the right thing! Renee got rid of some vest on clearance and ran off two customers for life. read more

My Christmas tradition is to buy each kid (I have 5) one ornament a year. My grand parents started this for me and I've continued it. Idea is we start this for each kid on their first Xmas and their collection will grow until I have grandkids to spoil. I try to buy the ornament based on what they "like" or whatever they are into at the exact time. EXAMPLE: last year my oldest son got his first car in real life, so I found that same car as a ornament. My daughter is still obsessed with Frozen, so I got her a Elsa ornament and my son loves the Seahawks, so I got him a Russel Wilson ornament. I think you get my point...... Awesome right?? This is where you get the creative Xmas ornaments. read more

Went in a couple of weeks ago to get our yearly ornaments. Saw the one they had for a lost loved one, they only had the one on the wall so they wouldn't sell it to me. They put me on their list to get it around the 13th. I was the only one in their book for it. I called today about it and one of the employees sold it without checking the book. In future I will only order on line and pick up at a store in Portland. They had no solution for me but on line. It won't get here for this Christmas. I am very angry with this store. I have been coming here consistently for the last two years and I have come to appreciate the fact you can always find the perfect card and collectible gifts not found in most other stores. Not only that, but with the mail counter, you can mail it off right away (no more belated birthday cards because you never found a stamp!) The staff is always friendly and helpful. read more

I would give 0 stars if i could. I came in wearing sweatpants and a tie dye teeshirt. I asked where to find something. It would have taken a few seconds to answer. Instead i was told "im with a paying customer " (what do you think i am, Nancy? Yes Nancy was the name of the super rude woman.) I waited until that customer left and asked the same question. Instead of answering she walked away and started straightning a display. Ive been in here before wearing my work clothes and they were more than happy to help (i work in finance, so im usually dressed up, but prefer sweats or jeans on days off) I told Nancy this was terrible customer service and shes just lost a regular customer. I will spend my money elsewhere from now on. I can not support such a judgemental business that obviously does not treat everyone equal. read more

Update: I haven't seen one of the ladies (the rudest one) in quite a while. Maybe she quit or I've just been lucky. Other than that, I have been treated very well here whenever I go in, so I updated my review to a 5-star. The ladies in the back, at the post office, are super sweet to my daughter whenever I go in to mail something. I love seeing their new inventory as well. Always something new. read more

The inventory is great, to bad the staff there are miserable & unhelpful! I felt like I was intruding in the store and bugging the lady putting cards away, sorry. I have always wanted to browse this store and I finally got the chance. I love Hallmark stores for all the beautiful things they have. I browsed outside with my small service dog who had her vest on but one of the "service dog" signs has fallen off on one side and a replacement has not arrived yet. I picked her up when I walked in the store and was greeted by a nice lady with short brown hair. I directly walked to one side of the store. Had a handful of items and walked by the register to the other side of the store and the same lady asked if I was ready to check out. Still holding my dog, who was quiet, I said no I had another side to look at. Not even a minute later another lady with longer hair said "excuse me ma'am we only allow service dogs in this store. I look at her and show her that her vest said service dog. She said she was sorry but that it was my fault for not showing the service dog side out. I was very upset at this point and extremely embarrassed so I waited then approached the register as I decide to leave. I informed the First Lady that I was leaving because of what she had said to me. They both informed me that it was the owners policy. I understand policy but when dealing with the handicapped or service animals you always handle with care. You give customer service instead of reciting policies. I feel it was not hard for the second lady to come and "ask" me if my dog was a service animal. Instead I was told my dog was not allowed. Then given excuses as to why the lady was not in the wrong for approaching me how she did. The other lady saw me twice and talked to me but said nothing about my dog. Why do they not communicate? Why did the First Lady not approach me when she greeted me when I walked in. I was very embarrassed. It will be a long time before I come into this store if I ever do at all. read more

If you need to mail a package go elsewhere! The faces on these ladies are worse than the employees of the DMV. If your job is that miserable you might rethink your employment. The card and gift area, however, friendly ladies everywhere! SMH! read more

The store is beautiful but the customer service is so bad. The mailing center people are the worst. If you have a question they act like they can't belive you don't know the answer. I own a business locally and I would let my staff go if they acted like that to a customer of ours. I took my mail to postal connections and they did everything for me with a smile on there face and with outstanding customer service. read more

I will never shop at this store again. Earlier in December I stopped in to buy an ornament for my son which is tradition every year. My time is limited to shop due to my wife dealing with stage 4 bladder cancer and I'm trying to make the holidays as normal a possible for my family. I find a nice robe and pajamas for my wife so I picked those up as well. I did not realize nor was I told that because they were on sale they were unreturnable. I went in today to return these as my wife simply does not need these items at this point and they do not fit. I was denied a refund or even an in store credit because it says sale items cannot be returned. I was nor even allowed the opportunity to explain my situation. This is bullshit. I will never patronize this store again and will purchase online from now on. So much for trying to support local businesses. Looking forward to this store becoming another vacant shell in a strip mall. read more
