Pop-local is a great collection of so many locally made craft and food items. If you are in the area this is a great way to check out so many great makers in one shop. Great souvenirs, gift ideas, home decorations, and snacks in one place! Definitely check it out!

There's a wide range of styles and items to look at. We could have stayed much longer, but my budget insisted I stop buying EVERYTHING. The owner was super nice and engaging. Highly recommend this store. I feel like its a hidden gem

Eccentric is absolutely the right word for this fantastic little vintage boutique on Main Street,…read morethat has been here for...quite some time. The hand-selected articles of clothing, hats, jewelry and accessories available here are certainly quirky, but also fashionable and functional. Whomever curates the collection here has an eye for the theatrical and flamboyant; many of the items here could easily double as Halloween costume components. There's no shortage of vintage clothing stores in the Portland metro area, but many of them charge truly outrageous prices for scraps and rags that only the most unaffected urchin would be caught dead wearing. Thankfully, that's not the case here: there's something for everyone, from casual to formal, grounded to glamorous, simple to sophisticated. Prices range from reasonable to unbelievably cheap (they even have a $1 rack with clothes that don't suck?! how), making the Urban Eccentric a budget-friendly bargain hunter's dream.

Oh boy, after Christmas sales!!! Totally worth a trip out to Jantzen Beach. My husband pretty much…read moreonly wears Duluth Trading Company now. He's become an expert online shopper too. He's an avid wood tuner and his work shop (the garage) gets mighty cold during winter. His latest love is the Duluth Fire Hose Fleece-lined Relaxed fit pants. The pants have a microfleece lining that is very warm yet surprisingly lightweight and the large, deep cargo pockets resist punctures from the tools he uses. The 100% cotton canvas repels stains and water as well. One note: they wash extremely well but are very heavy when wet and a wimp like me has to transfer them from the washer to the dryer. No complaints, just a warning. LOL His other current favorite are the flannel shirts. There's a whole collection of them ranging from relaxed fit to untucked to fleece-lined and they are all on sale right this very minute. The brick and mortar store has deals you can't get online and vise versa so it's always a good idea to check both options. Many have concerns about the area where the store is located. And, yes, there have been high crime issues associated with the Jantzen Beach shopping center and many of the stores surrounding Duluth Trading Company are in fact closing. Homelessness is rampant in this part of town but the store is safe to shop in and I would suggest just being more vigilant about your surroundings. It's the times we live in.
