I used to shop here a lot when you first opened. However the clothing has gotten noticeably worse over the years. Jeans and dresses stay consistently good. Why is EVERY SINGLE top WIDE and BOXY. Every single top!!!!!!! And it's always paired with those terrible wide cap sleeves or the colonial woman/ split crew neck line. Nothing is form fitting or something that flatters the top half. I really wish you would get some variety in your top selection because I totally would shop there if there was. read more

Dream team of sales associates with golden retriever energy. What a wonderful vibe. I personally loved knowing I was supporting a faith-based business. The sales associates were sweet, responsive, and well spoken! The perfect balance of hands-on shopping while still being given space to check things out at my leisure. I never write reviews, but I felt I had to speak up about Willows. I was genuinely hurt to find out they don't carry XL. I'm not asking for much -- just a basic, standard size that so many women wear. The average woman in the U.S. is a size 14-18, which is an XL. Ignoring this reality sends a clear message that they don't care about women's bodies that are actually the norm. It feels dismissive, exclusionary, and honestly, insulting. I hope they take a hard look at their sizing options because leaving out such a large group of women is completely unacceptable. read more

Fantastic curation of clothes, lovely employees, and relaxing atmosphere. I love this store. They have a wide variety of clothes that fit together well. It's colorful but grounded. Lots of very comfortable and soft clothing that also has flattering shape and slightly unique form. Some items were too expensive for me ($120 jacket) but others were less than I was expecting ($20 and $30 tops). The only improvements I could wish for was in the size range and the AC in the dressing room. The vast majority of the tops were a size small and the dressing room wasn't receiving much air and got uncomfortably hot. read more

My friend wanted to stop here on the way back from Portland and this store is just across the border and next the Fred Meyer. She had purchased a leather bag from this store before and wanted to grab a few items to fill in her collection from transition from summer to autumn. By looking at the leather bag she already has, I would almost mistake it for a semi-high end designer bag due to the quality. I don't know much about hand bags because I'm a guy, but I actually didn't mind going in the store with her to assist with shopping. It's a cute little boutique type store with just enough items to fill in the small space and even smaller spaces within the store as well as give it a warm rustic feel. They had a decent amount of clothes and everything was basically in fall colors (creams, soft browns, nude or skin tones, heather gray, tans, pastels) with a few splashes of brighter colors here and there but mainly in the form of accessories. I was a little surpised by the prices on some of the items but of course I never shop in stores like this. $24 for some thin socks that you wear with boots....I kind of rolled my eyes, but again I was only there for emotional support. My friend did find some really cute and moderately inexpensive boots there. The ladies that work there are pretty cool too especially when I sat down to rest my legs on the small bed they have fashioned as a sitting area while waiting for people to try on clothes or if you're waiting for your gal pal to hurry up and pick some clothes. Then I think....girls....and hurry up normally aren't two things that go together when it comes to shopping. Overall, it's a cute little space with cute little things that most gals age 16-30 might like, or maybe even older. read more

I come here often with my wife when she's out shopping about. I do not buy clothes from here but I can say my wife loves them and literally cannot get enough. My main purpose is the exceptional service experience I get here. I have walked in this store over ten times and every single time I am greeted by friendly staff who are very approachable and accommodating. Every time I buy my wife a gift card from here, they wrap it in a nice box with hand tied ribbon bow. That's pretty awesome... the inside of the store is really rad and it's impressive that it changes it's interior design based on seasons (I'm assuming). It seems from the esthetics to the hand tied gift boxes and wrapped clothing, they like being a bit over the top from other boutique clothing stores that I've gone too. I'm sad to give this rating after years of shopping with willows but over the last few purchases I realized the quality of items purchased has gone significantly downhill. Pair that with a less than accommodating return policy and I'm out a few hundred dollars on items that I won't wear. I'd suggest a better return policy and maybe an email sent out to long time customers asking for their feedback on pricing, quality & overall experience. read more

Cute clothes with styles mostly geared toward teens/younger women. But... If you're older than 30, the staff doesn't even make eye contact. My third time to stop in here in the past year. Same exact experience each time as I walked through and browsed. Nothing. Not even an acknowledgment or a smile, much less an offer to help. I have 2 granddaughters in high school who would probably have enjoyed a clothing gift from here, but I think I'll pass this boutique on by from now on. read more

Fabulous store, small but great selection and good range of price points. Often a really good sale area in the back. It's like a mini anthropology that's a little more affordable. Recently I have been into Willows twice to look for gifts. I was impressed with not only the wide array of items (candles, jewelry, shoes, great jeans, tops, dresses, decorative items, perfume, plus some little extras throughout the store) but with the helpful and friendly staff. I found awesome gifts in the $20-$60 range for women 30-52 years old and my teenage daughter found a few things she loved, too. My favorite movie of all time is High Fidelity. I have a soft spot for charming / sarcastically sweet and yet mildly depressing characters and the story lines they engage in. So when John Cusack's character goes to hear a gal by the name of Marie de Salle perform he stops in astonishment upon hearing a provocative rendition of "Baby I Love Your Way" and looks at the guy at the door and goes: "Is that Peter F#@*ing Frampton?" Sure enough, it is- and such was my exact reaction while walking to Willows today. Frampton is doing a show tonight at Esther Short Park and the excessive number of roadies, busses, and fences around would make anyone curious as to who could cause such a rift in the typical family going nature of the park. I was so glad to have a great little shop to step inside and avoid the gaping locals, if only for a few minutes. So in keeping with the milieu of the review, here are my top five all time reasons why I decided Willows is so great: 1. Location. Right downtown, there are a lack of hip shops around, so to find one in the urban core of Vancouver, rather than near the mall or suburbia is really refreshing. 2. Warmth. These ladies are fun to talk to and are genuine saleswomen. They let you know what's going on, what's on sale and what the latest on the floor is. Other than that, they let you shop on your own, but are there to help at moments notice. 3. Inventory. They have some of the best jewelry around, perfect for gifts when you're not exactly sure what to pick for someone, and buying them clothes just isn't an option. 4. Quality. Like many other things it seems like craftsmanship in apparel is a dying art. It's nice to see merchandise that is a little more upscale and made to last. 5. Vibe. It "didn't make me miserable, or anxious, or ill at ease. You know, it sounds boring, but it wasn't. It wasn't spectacular either. It was just good. But really good...." Brief story. I have been purchasing a perfume called Bootzie oil from Willows and when I went into the store on June 2, they were out of the one I usually get. I went ahead and purchased the other scent, got it home and hated it. I tried it once. I called today, hoping that they could exchange it for the original scent that I preferred when it was back in stock and was told that once it is used (even if it was the one time), I could not exchange it. I called within the 7 days (exchanges up to 14 days). I am angry! It would have been good customer service to simply replace it. Especially since I had called back right away. I have always believed in good customer service and the right thing to do would have been to simply exchange it. I will not be purchasing anything from this store again. read more

I love this boutique! So happy I found it. I can't think of a time when I haven't found something I loved in this store. Adorable women's clothing for all ages and sizes at a really great price point. It's my go to place for girlfriend gifts too. The store has some really cute stuff however, it is overpriced. They don't carry that many sizes that fit more curvy women. I have hips and a bust so it felt like I didn't have many options. I felt like an outsider shopping there because I need to wear an extra large for tight fitting jackets and they don't carry it . The sweaters are nice and that was the only thing I liked in the store. The tanks and pants are made for only super skinny women . Why not cater to all body types ? I'm not fat but, this store made me feel fat . I'm a large up top and wear 13-14 so yeah it felt discouraging to shop here. Great customer service and best selection of clothes you'll find for women in Vancouver. I always find a few cute items. Sizing will be hard to find at times since they run out quickly, but I like how they can put things on hold for 24 hours if you like them on Instagram. Pricing on items is equivalent to what you'll find at Nordstroms and will find similar styles here. read more

You have to go in as soon as they get new shipment in before it all gets taken. Lots of stuff gets put on hold through Instagram which kinda sucks because I never get the stuff I really want! Beautiful clothing, serene and happy ambiance, and great costumer service. I loved that I was created at the door and on my way out and that's it. Often when I go into retail stores I'm berated by employees trying to be as helpful as the possibly can be, which actually isn't helpful at all. The girls at Willows are just helpful enough. I didn't walk out with anything today but there were tons of cute stuff. It's a little pricey but totally worth budgeting for. There was also a fair amount of clearance items, especially shoes. Willows is my absolute favorite clothing store. Now that Vancouver no longer has a Nordstrom, finding cute little outfits can be difficult. This is where Willows comes in. This store is full of cute little tops, blouses, and eclectic little t-shirts. It's like they sorted through all of the junk that most stores offer and selected only the top 5% of the items. Searching for just the right flowery blouse to wear to that BBQ? Maybe a cute summer dress for an outdoor wedding? How about a fashionable pair of skinny jeans and one of those casual-yet-perfectly slouchy scoop neck tees to wear out for girls night? You'll find it here. This store has a wide selection, but is never thrown together in a sensory nightmare (hello, Forever 21, I'm looking at you!). It has a Brass Plum vibe with a boutique atmosphere. You'll also find an array of jewelry, from the dainty to the cool hipster cuffs. The girls are always super sweet, and never snotty (I'm a 35 year old mom of teenagers, and I've never once felt unwelcome). If you aren't sure where to start, just ask one of the ladies and they'll happily put together some outfits for you to try (but they are never pushy). This is where you go to find the outfits you see on Pinterest. Prices aren't that high at all, despite what you may have heard. Tops average around $28 for nearly all, and jeans are about $70-$80 (they sell mostly Flying Monkey, but there are some less expensive options, too). I just got a pair of shorts, two tops, bralette and bracelet for under $100. Sizes do cater to juniors (XS-L), but there are some XL options. Highly recommended! read more
