The folks in the framing department are absolutely amazing! They are in tune with what clients want even when the clients don't know what they want! Really artsy and professional folks! Throughout the store the employees are very nice. I've only had one instance where I was treated as though I was a potential shoplifter (!) and I didn't shop there for a couple of years as I was so annoyed!!! Cashiers are very nice too! Returns are not always simple - lots of questions and the feeling that returns are a nuisance for the store. Selection of goods is fine. Too bad everything is made in China. And expensive too! My grandchildren love it when I take them to the store. read more

There is a very impressive selection of quality fabric and quilt patterns, beads, puzzles, paint supplies, yarn and children art and much much more. The walls are all painted a dark gray, making the store look really depressing inside. They keep parts of the store freezing cold. Like wear mittens and a jacket cold even in July. Selection is mediocre. Staff don't look like they're all that happy to be working there. Not their fault. It's cold, dark and depressing in there. They're doing their best with what they have to work with. Seems like corporate management doesn't care much. Try making a suggestion to them and expect to never get a response. You won't get one. The fabric department is just so-so. According to just about everyone there it's because the fabric buyer doesn't sew. She knits. Knitting/yarn department is nothing to brag about either. The rest of the place is just so-so, meh. Not much personality going on there. read more

I use to love this store and want to support local. But their prices have become terrible. They are close by my house so I ran over there to get some micro lights for the holidays. They wanted $50 for some fairy lights so I left and drove 20 minutes to their competitor and spent $4 for a strand of 50 micro lights. They have great ideas on display but that's about all I can say. read more

you guys.... i am an avid Joann fabrics lover (rest in peace) and i dislike basically every craft store because of their lack of halfway decent yarn - this one included. nonetheless, i'm here at LEAST twice a month because there really aren't other craft stores in this area and craft warehouse used to be cool. so anyways, i was there today and was looking for some tools to mend some clothes i have. there is an older gal who works in this section whom i have learned to never really ask a question because she responds in only "i don't knows" and "we don't have thats" with attitude. today though - i'm trying to find chalk to mark my clothes & she notices that there is some sort of staple gun near me (she has been in the aisle the entire time i have been) and decides to grab it off the shelf, and about 2 minutes later, she comes back with said staple gun, puts it back, and puts a lock on the shelf hook. i am unsure if it's because i'm young, have colorful hair, or because of my tattoos that gave this lady the assumption i would steal a STAPLE GUN but regardless, it's not the 80's anymore. i understand that this place runs on locking up $1.79 pens, glue sticks, calligraphy items, and even knitting needles, so shopping here is already an inconvenience if you catch them when they are busy. however, locking up something because someone is near it and you think that person will steal was the most blatant disrespect i received here. absolutely nothing that they sell in this craft store has actual genuine value - they can calm tf down. when i asked this lady a question about thread for mending denim, she told me she has no idea what i can get there since they only sell things for quilting (which is not her fault) but i can check walmart. thanks girl! maybe i'll go there to buy a staple gun if i ever need it. three stars because i've never had a problem with any other employee here, and because they have yarn i guess. maybe one day craft warehouse will stop selling random toys and actual junk that lines their shelves by the checkout and start investing in selling fabric non exclusive to quilting, or getting thread that is durable, or getting an actual cop to chase me around the store every time i am near something that has a value over $5. i think i'd have a more peaceful shopping experience then. read more

Interesting how they brag they are family owned. They might be... according to staff they don't sponsor or support local activities events or arts festivals. Nearly Everything in the store is made in China so they support that communist government to line their pockets. Might as well go with another company, one that supports local community activities and stocks products made in USA and pays the employees a living wage. read more

I needed a hand painted calligraphy framed which was given to my wife from the teacher at a recent silent retreat she attended. It was a very special gift and I wanted the framing and mat to reflect the sacredness of the painting. Cindy in the frame department took the time to ask me what I wanted it to look like and all I could think of was a black frame. She brought out a few frame and mat samples and together with her expertise and eye for color decided on a black frame with a fine red line in it and a red mat. The final product is stunning. me and my 14 year old friend were treated absolutely horribly, we were browsing through the store doing nothing wrong we were just looking around seeing what the craft store had since we needed some supplies for a school project. When one horrible worker named Lisa would not stop harassing us and following our every move. lisa was hiding behind shelves, going into every isle we went into, and spying on us. I have never been treated with such disrespect from anyone yet alone a grown adult when we confronted her about her following us she proceeded to use profane words that are unacceptable, we then asked her to stop harassing us and we asked for her to stop cussing and she said "i can do whatever i want" and then proceeded to call the cops after we offered for her to check our pockets. she accused us of stealing, used horrible profane language, disrespected us as who we are. I would never recommend anyone to shop here. read more

I love this place. My girlfriend's and I come here to look at the seasonal decorations that they have to try and recreate some things we found on Pinterest. They usually have a large selection of different flowers and ribbons as well as different containers you can use to make your Arrangements. The wood boxes they have a really cool because you can paint them and customize them to anyway you want. Be sure to download the app because you get an additional 20% off and can save some money that way. It is hard to find anyone in here when you need help though that is my only gripe. When I'm looking for something specific I found online they know very little about what they have and mostly just tell you to walk around and look for it. read more

I stopped in on Friday morning to get some supplies to complete a sign that I had started making. My wife and I had been in a few weeks earlier but my project was growing bigger than I had originally planned. I aw also looking for some acrylic paint and some water color tablets. I noticed right away that every time I turned around the same employee was within a few feet of me pretend to be straitening shelves. She was also trying to hide the fact that she was talking into a radio, failing miserably at that task. When I couldn't handle it anymore I turned quickly down an aisle. The employee quickly caught up to me and asked if she could take my merchandise up front for me. I had about 8 2inx2in wooden letters, easily held in one hand. I said no and turned away from her. Her next sentence kind of disgusted me "I thought you were trying to ditch me". Well, in all honestly, I was. I had done absolutely nothing to suggest or give any intention to steal from this establishment. I noticed that none of the few other customers were being treated like criminals. This is unfortunate, because the offerings of this store are pretty good and I have shopped her for the last several years. I do not feel like I would ever want to tell any one where to shop, I just wanted to share my very disheartening experience. Also to warn that if you do patronize this business, there is a chance that the female employee about 45 years old with the orange leathery 85 year old fake tanned skin may very well treat you like a thief. Super excited this store opened in this area. I was impressed by the size and that I saw they had what looks like customer service desk but was disappointed when I went to ask a young gal at that desk who was working on a project where I could find something she barely looked up and told me very quickly I could find it a few aisles down and went back to playing on her project. I couldn't find what I was looking for and took a second try at getting help from a younger blonde in the fabric area and she apologized to me for the other employee just pointing and walked me to the products and stayed and helped and was super friendly and nice, then asked me if I needed help with any other projects and told me I could find her at the same spot I did earlier if I needed any help again. That's the kind of staff more stores need, because of her I will come back to this location, her hair was long so I couldnt read her name or I would be sure the management knew how helpful she was. read more

I used to love Craft Warehouse many years ago. They always seemed to have some really cool stuff but then they closed their store in the Beaverton area. Now 3 years later I visit this store in Hazel Dell and boy, are they expensive! So many items marked with red 'sale' tags but really are not sale prices. Come on guys, your customers are not that easily fooled! I looked at a string of lights 'on sale' for $17, yet I can buy them online regular price $8. Same decor products marked 'sale' I can buy at Ikea for half of Craft Warehouse price. I would like to spend my money here but they need to change their mark up tactics. I do want to say that this is a new store and I was greeted right away by a nice employee so the customer service is good. read more

What a cluster. Went to the oil paint event today. Absolutely no organization. Wait in a line to pay, then told to come back and put my name in. That's fine, however there were only 3 spots at a time able to work on project! Really?? You know 50-100 people will show and you have 3 at a time?? This was the Manager handling it too. She claimed there were a lot of sick calls and short staffed. They were supposed to call your name to do project, but she didn't. I got a refund and left...along with many others. Get organized if you're doing projects! Why would you have 3 positions at a time knowing there are multitudes wanting to do this?? read more

A friend and I entered the store with our dogs. My friend has a multi-purpose service dog. We were approached by an employe who told us her dog needed to be leashed. We tried to explain the ADA law to her and she was rude and insistent the dog needed to be leashed. She caused my friend a medical episode during the argument. We headed to the back of the store and asked another employee to speak to manager. Turns out she was the manager. I believe her name is Sam. She then googled the law and read it to us. The law states " Service animals must be leashed, harnessed, or tethered unless the individuals disability prevents the devices or these devices to interfere with a task." Which a leash does. She started questioning her tasks and proceeded to ask what her medical disability was and what type of medical episode she was having as she was sitting on the floor with her dog who was tasking. I am disappointed with the way she was acting especially as a manager and will not be returning to your store. read more
