Pretty cool comic shop with tons of stuff to check out. Checking out the comics behind glass was pretty cool. They had such a good variety of stuff, a lot of stuff I've never seen before in my local comic store. The prices weren't terrible, typical prices for a comic store. Great store, great back inventory, but as an Oregonian resident, you have to draw a line in the sand sooner or later. We do not have a sales tax and automatically get taxed from our payroll check so to have to pay sales tax when we drive across the river with no ifs ands or butts makes me not want to spend money in Washington. I was really excited to find a comic I had been looking for. When I took it up to the register, what I believe was the manager, an older man with a white beard checked me out. He took my comic opened the poly bag, pulled it out at an angle flexing the spine, then proceeded to thumb through the entire comic. I looked at him like "what are you doing?" He said sometimes the name is in the front or back. I told him what the name of the comic was and he replied, "I know." if he knew, why did he paw through the comic. There was another man in the store who appeared to need help and seemed to have a disability. He asked the manager how often he cleaned the statues on display. The manager responded, "Every day." The man mentioned that there were cobwebs on them, the manager responded; "I'll clean it when you buy it." Overall he is incredibly unprofessional and straight up rude. I wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

This is one HUGE comic book shop & serious bonus points for how well organized & clearly marked everything was. The place is clean & well-lit with plenty of room to move around and look at their amazing array of comic books, graphic novels, toys and other collectibles. If you are looking for specific comic back issues to complete a series, I'd pay this place a visit. The prices on comics was quite reasonable and they even have rare issues (priced accordingly at the big buck level for those rarities, of course). And if you are into collecting various super-hero/sci-fi/pop culture items, this is a great place to check out. read more

Prices are pretty good for back issues, currently 50% off. Priced as marked would be too pricey for me. Great dollar bins in really good order, organized by letter but not completely alphabetized, which is better organization than most. This place is amazing! The Mecca for any comic lover or nerd in the Vancouver area. Back issues, $.50 comic bins, hundreds of graphic novels, $4 graphic novel bins, statues, funko pops, also complete volumes of comics for sale in long boxes. I found this shop looking for a birthday gift for a friend. Apparently they had just moved locations and combined two stores together so I don't know their history but the new place was something else. Admittedly, I don't read many comics myself but am a big fan of the genres in general and found myself wandering around for a good 30 minutes looking at all the figures, accessories and toys. For those who do read, there's stacks and stacks of comics, animated books and more. Very well organized, lots of staff members around chatting, even a couple chairs for people to read a bit I suppose. Worked out great for getting the gift I needed and a new Han Solo sculpture for myself. read more

Worst comic book store experience ever. Selling my comic book collection and called a number of stores to sell them. Most were not interested, which is fine. I Like Comics said they were. I drove up to Portland with my 10 boxes of comics. The buyer was late, so I waited in the store. No big deal. I had planned to check out the store anyway and what comic fan would not be happy to wait in a comic book store? The buyer, however, only went through some of my boxes, was not interested in any of the comics, and then put my well organized comics back in the wrong order, backwards and up side down. I later sold them all. Most not worth much, but some individual older ones in the price range of $20-40 each. I will never return. Too many other great places to get comics. read more

This is a nice, clean, large store. A nice mix of toys/memorabilia, new comics, and back issues. I wish there were more collections and hardcover books to peruse. My boyfriend thought it was like a good combination of Cosmic Monkey and Excalibur. I prefer Cosmic Monkey because there's so many fun non-comic stuff to look at as well. I Like Comics seems a little barren and cavernous in comparison. Like, maybe they could add some more shelves and stock some more fun stuff. But that's the owner's prerogative, clearly. It was a nice store with good, clean selection. We'll be back, even though it's not really that close to home base. read more

I recently returned to I Like Comics and purchased some new statues. The staff are so amazing and friendly! I took time to decide which statue I would take home, they didn't mind that I needed the time and I ended up taking 4 new statues home. We purchased Batwoman earlier from the same shop. The quality of these statues is perfect! They took great care to package and even assisted us to our vehicle to place our new purchase in safely! We will definitely be back! That's for sure! I seriously recommend this place to any fan who loves comics, statues and figurines! This place has it all! And it is very, very impressive! Check it out! You won't be disappointed! read more

Bad overall experience. Called about selling my collection (about 5 long boxes). I explained what was there, really didn't have a price in mind. The owner said they were interested and would take a look. So we set a day/time. I arrived a few minutes early, the owner was well over 30 minutes late (I get life happens) but then acts like it's a big imposition/surprise I brought the books in. He spends 5 minutes looking thru one box and says its nothing he can use. Ok.....total waste of time. I then get home to find the books that were in order completely out of order and a few damaged because he didn't bother to look thru them with any care. Do yourself a favor, if you're looking for good customer service avoid this place like a plague. Maybe they treat their regulars better, because the positive reviews seem to reflect that trend. read more

I'm a decades-long reader, and former retailer myself, and this is easily the best comic store in the area. They have something for everyone: raw books, slabs, pops, statues, sets, bargain bins. indies . . . I was in for a good-sized trade deal, and Chris (the owner) did a wonderful job of handling my transaction, while ringing up regulars, and greeting incoming customers. The overall presentation of the store was well executed, with good flow, good racking, and plenty to browse. This is certainly not one of those musty-dusty old school 1970s shops with loose comics in random piles. Chris was fair, and professional working out our trade deal, and I look forward to my next visit - highest recommendation! read more

When buying things I've had to sell, he's exceeded my expectations by offering fair prices based on evidence of recent sales, both locally and nationally. Most of all, Chris is a friend, who greets and starts to know you as soon as you walk in the store. I cannot recommend this place enough. What a great store. Having just moved to Washington from Utah, I set out on my day off to find a local comic book store to replace my favorite haunt back home. Not only did the co-worker (owner???) take me on a tour of the store and explain the layout, but he pointed out specials, sold me a Comic Con pass (ok I asked about that) and gave me 20% off the items I purchased. Great selection, great customer service, great vibe. Toto, we may not be in Kansas anymore, but this land is in full color. read more

Holy mother of huge! You want statues? They got a ton. Pop figures? Yeah, that's handled. Collector and rare issues? Check. Original art and art prints? They seriously have an entire gallery attached to the shop. When you first walk into I Like Comics you'll notice just how huge this shop is. A 5 star rating for a comic book store? I am not a comic book fan. I read them a bit when I was a kid but was done around the time girls became far more attractive to me than the Fantastic 4. I have an 8 year old who recently got into comic books through a friend and he was excited to get some of his own. Never one to discourage reading I was more than happy to take him to a comic book store to pick out some new issues for his perusal. I was surprised at the low number of comic book stores in Vancouver (especially considering the dork to redneck ratio) but I Like Comics is close to my office so my son and I paid them a visit this weekend. The store was large, clean, well lit, fully stocked and I could almost smell the late night Magick the Gathering and/or Dungeons and Dragons tournaments that have undoubtedly gone on in this location. Again .... I am not a comic book guy but their selection was large and priced for every budget. They had your typical high priced comics under glass, collectible figures, books but what really got my son excited were the boxes and boxes of 50 cent comic books in the back of the store (all categorized by title so you don't have to search "yard sale style" through boxes of miscellaneous titles to find something you recognize). There were of course many characters we had never heard of but there were also plenty of spiderman, superman, batman (i.e. well known characters) comics available. I gave my son a budget of $15 for comic books and he ended up with 17 (YES 17) of them including a comic that he paid $6 and immediately put in our wall safe because he is sure it will be worth "big money" one day. All in all it was a great experience and I am sure we will be back soon. My son is required to read for at least 30 minutes daily and what he used to look at as a chore is now a joy to him and no longer timed as he is reading much more than that on his own. If you like comics or have found yourself complaining about your childrens dependence on electronics why not try a few comic books and see what they think? Note: the store also has a rack of strictly "family friendly" comics for children and each one of those is also just 50 cents each. read more

This is by far one of the best retail establishments I have ever been to. Chris, the owner, knows your name. He knows what you read. He's always into making a difference and genuinely cares about you as a customer. Recently he purchased the space next to him and knocked some doors in between, making him the largest comic book store in the Pacific Northwest. Makes sense since he treats his customers right. Has every title you could hope to find. Has amazing guests and authors for his customers. Just can't say enough great things. If you're in Vancouver, you need to come see this guy!! read more
