I love this place. Everything is exactly my style. It's such a modern day store. All the styles are so youthful and stylish. There are so many looks but somehow almost every piece in the store could come together to make an awesome room. You can find subtle pieces here or cool statement pieces. It's a great place for faux plants that look pretty realistic. I originally found this place looking for a realistic fake monstera leaf. They have the best I could find online. When I went in for them, I discovered the whole place was a gem. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would for sure recommend this place. It's a cool place to window shop for ideas as well. CB2 is my favorite furniture store but something is off about the staff at this location. I stay few blocks away and I often walk into this store nowadays, as I'm doing up my apartment. 8 out of 10 times you come across disinterested and rude staff, specially the managers. I mean CEOs of big firms might be humbler than them. It's annoying and hilarious at the same time like what's the air all about ? Release it. The Junior staff is more helpful and I prefer interacting with them. I was wondering if I'm The only one who feels this ways but after reading multiple reviews I realized indeed the floor management at this place suffers from some sort of superiority complex and their aim to look as disinterested as possible. So there's a taxonomy of furniture stores that we're taught: Target, then Wayfair, then like CB2 and West Elm, then Restoration Hardware, then some Danish company where the chairs look like apostrophes. Folks, CB2 does not deserve its spot. Covid supply chain issues aside, their customer service is garbage. Schedule orders for delivery, and then cancel the morning of because a piece is missing (you didn't know this ahead of time?). There's some glitch in the system where even after you schedule delivers, they send you a text every day saying they're read to schedule. Just a nightmare. As for the furniture that did come: thoroughly not impressed. Wobbly chairs out of the truck, sticker placed on the glass table that leaves permanent residue - just junior quality across the board. Millennials, build your homes elsewhere. Either save up and dish out on the next level up, or be crafty and go down-market. There's no reason to pay this much for mediocrity these days. read more

Total lack of common sense. I wanted to order a desk and a bed. I was told that some parts will arrive at the end of Jan 2024. There will be multiple shipments and I need to pay separetly for each shipment. .Some parts of the bed and desk will be available in December 2024 (!) and I also need to pay for this delivery separetely. I wanted to order A BED and a DESK, not parts of a bed/desk. What's the point of having some parts of a bed or desk that will be ready to use at the end of 2024 delivered almost a year from now. I had a negative experience here but after reading the other reviews it seems like my experience is not unique. I'm furnishing a new apartment from almost a blank slate so am looking to purchase many items, and asked for help from their complimentary design services. I made an appointment and sat down with a designer for an hour and explained our needs and tastes, and provided our floor plan and photos. The designer was going on vacation the following week, and said they'd send us a design proposal the week after. Three weeks later we still hadn't heard back, so I called CB2 and asked to speak with the designer. She wasn't around, and the person who picked up acted as if they could care less - and hung up mid-sentence while I was trying to leave a message for our designer. Not only for the reason that it sits underneath the Decoration and Design building but rather because its filled with amazing things and very friendly sales help. My recent sales person, Zachory was not only very knowledgeable but he was thoughtful and really took his time to take care of me and my client. Any place that sells Disco Gnomes is the place for me. CB2 is like a High End Ikea or a Hipster Crate & Barrel. Though, I must admit, the couches are not for my demographic. They are low, low, low. I'm too fat and my right knee is too bad for me to heave myself off of them on a daily basis. The beds are low as well. This is no Ethan Allen sleigh bed that you have to buy steps to get out of. But the that's to be expected with Modern styled furnishings. And everything IS Mod! Lacquered, glossy red credenzas. Brushed stainless steel vases. And Disco Gnomes! The only thing I was left wanting for was a larger selection of items. But quality beats quantity any day. I can't complain. read more

CB2 IS UNRELIABLE !! I would not order from them again. I ordered a table in July and have been told 4 times that it would be delayed. Now it's to the end of October. They say it is a "global problem" but it seems that West Elm and EQ3 are not part of this "global problem" as I have gotten furniture from these places as promised. If CB2 had such a problem, they should have told me from the beginning that the delivery time was questionable and I would have made a decision to stay with them or shop elsewhere. AWFUL! I regret the day I made a significant purchase from this store. Furniture was delivered damaged both attempts. They don't do what they promise such as issue a store credit for the aggravation and time loss to stay home multiple times and inspect the failed delivery each time. They were on high alert that the velvet fabric would be damaged with any poor handling and any mishandling and still they didn't do what was necessary to alert the warehouse and their delivery partners. The manager G acted as if he never spoke to me on the phone and promised to call me back with a store credit, which never came to pass. I got the runaround several times. All the reps care about is to make a commission. I was refused access to the bathroom after about 2 or 3 hours of shopping and US$4,100.00 spent, I had to walk across the street to use the restroom at home depot; I felt disrespected as a customer and as a human being - terrible, just terrible, it was humiliating. Just received my second Hayes Planter and its in worse condition than the first. I do not understand why CB2s packaging center does not cushion, or properly wrap their products. Instead of this planter being thrown in a box upside down... this planter was thrown in a smaller box and sideways. NO WRAPPING besides tissue over item, and large bubble wrapping around the sides and bottom BUT without any air in the bubbles. Absolutely no effort. Came here with a few friends that were shopping for furniture and found more than a few things that I'd want to get myself. I had never heard of CB2 before tagging along with a couple of friends, but I'll be sure to remember them now. They've got some really nice furniture that looks trendy while still being functional classy. There are a few odd pieces here and there, but for the most part, I could easily see most of their stuff living in my apt. The prices were also surprisingly good. This isn't IKEA low, but everything was much cheaper than I expected. The one thing I didn't much care for was that the staff wasn't particularly helpful or interested in us. Que sera. If you want to decorate your home and living space with quality products retailed at moderate prices, then CB2 is the best place to shop. Their colorful, contemporary and modern style home and office accessories are refreshing, new designs and can really add some punch of hipness to any drab and ordinary living/work space. If you love Crate & Barrel, then you may love CB2 even more. They sell a wide array of furniture and accessories for every room of your house. The pricing varies and some products can range from cheap to expensive, but the quality is great. You can't compare to the likes of other stores such as IKEA. I've had a share of IKEA pieces, and their furniture is a temporary solution for the home/office. You may be paying more at CB2, but you're certainly getting bang for your buck. Another plus, CB2 furniture comes already assembled. I highly appreciate the variety of fun colors and patterns that CB2 accessories offers as it adds a lot of character to any space. CB2 makes home/office decorating super easy even for those who are clueless when it comes to interior design and decoration. All in all, this is a fun store to shop if searching for some new furniture and accessories for the home or office. I never get bored in this store, unlike a lot of other places where the style is often generic, boring, and very predictable. For now, CB2 has a smaller selection and inventory of items and styles when compared to the original Crate & Barrel. I can only hope they'd expand the selection over time. Yesterday when I was out with my daughter we stopped in CB2. We are getting ready to entertain for the holidays. My daughter saw something she wanted. The item was on display. After she searched all over to find it she asked a sales clerk. The person couldn't find it either. Finally someone else that worked there said that it was in the stock room. Meantime I'm waiting with her. I already knew I didn't need anything. Finally they returned with her item, she paid, and we left. A short stop turned in to a time consuming experience. They need to have items that are displayed on the showroom floor ready for purchase. We thought that was strange. I'm sure we will check this store out again when we need something for entertaining. I found that this store has about everything you need to set a table. I enjoy some of the quirky designs. As for furniture, I've checked here and found the prices too high. I needed a chair. They don't use promotions, coupons, or put things on sale typically. At least not that I know of. I thought it was supposed to be a step down from Crate and Barrel. I feel it is just as pricy. I saw the onyx raw edge bowl online and had to have one. I live in queens so it's a hour trip each way but I wanted that bowl lol. I get to the store and the store is beautiful. I look around for the bowl but I don't see it anywhere. I see one that looks vaguely like it but not nearly as rustic. I ask Jeffery a salesman if they have the bowl. He said yes and pointed to the bowl I had seen. I told him the looks nothing like the picture. He said each bowl will be a little different. That I get but this looks nothing like it. Jeffery offered to bring out a few more of them to see if I liked any of those bowls. He was extremely nice as well as knowledgeable. After looking at a few of the bowls I found one that I like even better than the one in the picture. It's not nearly as rustic as the one in the picture but the color is much richer. I also bought three marble balls to go into the bowl. If you see this bowl and decide you want it I strongly suggest you go in and pick it out in person. There is so much to see here! I'm not too crazy about the layout as it seems like everything is grouped together on a large but seemingly cramped showroom floor. The way it's staged has most of the furniture grouped together by area of the home they would be located, but the sections are so cramped that you easily get overwhelmed. This place is great if you are looking to see/test out a small list of big furniture pieces, other than that you really can't go wrong just ordering online or from their catalog. It would def be great if the showroom space was larger. Overall, they do have a decent amount of furniture and decor and it's easy to see most, if not all of the things that are currently available in their catalog. Much bigger than the one in SoHo, easier to browse around and feels less cramped. The staff are really nice, making the whole shopping experience enjoyable. We came here to pick up online orders and also to browse around. Their merchandise tend to be more compact and at a slightly lower price point than Crate and Barrel, making it appealing for the city life of high density, where every square foot of your living space is precious and should be properly exploited. If Ikea is getting sore on the eyes and you can spare some more $$, definitely check out CB2. read more

This is CB2's second NYC location, with the original store located in SoHo. The store itself is much bigger than SoHo's. It's impeccably styled - great for decorating ideas since they do a lot of fun, unexpected stuff with a lot of the product. If you like modern design, then there are a lot of good-quality furniture pieces here for you. The store's environment is super clean and airy, without being sterile. The sales people are friendly and helpful. I haven't felt like anyone's pushy or eager to make a sale. They don't get commission, so you don't have to feel bad about being helped by several people. They leave you alone, but are around and available if you need assistance. I saw a lot of people bring their dogs into the store today - as it is a very pet/family friendly place. The one thing that was a little off-putting was the large number of people shopping around. At times it was a little difficult to move around. However, I did come in during peak hours - sometime between 1 and 3pm on a Saturday. I ended up buying the turbine pillow, as well as some very affordable barware for an upcoming party. I'll be back to get a ton of gifts for the holidays, since there are a ton of things priced under $10 and $20. Awesome place worth checking out. read more

My only issue is that EVERY time I go in I am constantly getting asked if I need any help, if I am looking for anything specific, etc. The last time I was in, my count was 5x - 2 by the same associate. I ordered a bookshelf. It was backordered. I got a call saying it was delivered to the store. I went to the store with a van. They said only 1 out of 2 boxes had been delivered. I asked that they courier it to me. 2 weeks go by. I call. I wait on hold for 15 minutes. They say both boxes are there now and I say I'll call back to schedule courier. I call back 2 days later. Second time visiting this location and experiencing rude customer service. I'm not sure why it seems like they're discriminating by age or race, but after waiting 20 minutes to be assisted with a return went to the cashier who asked for the next customer and was told, "she didn't see me there." Perhaps it was because of a return, but she instead repeated she hadn't seen me there rudely while apologizing to the older white woman. As a repeat customer and stylist who recommends CB2 to clients I hate the customer service I've experienced here another employee saw me waiting and said nothing made eye contact and looked away no greeting no I'll be with you in a moment. The young, hip cousin to Crate & Barrel, I was surprised when I first visited CB2 by just how much I liked their home goods. I actually didn't know until later that they are owned by Crate & Barrel until I started raving to my mom about the various items I wish I could've purchased and she told me. Overall, they have a contemporary/modern aesthetic that is versatile. Their furniture is nice, but I really gravitate towards the smaller items, like serveware and decorative items. While quality and price usually go hand in hand, CB2 seems pretty great - things don't look OR feel cheap. The designs themselves are definitely top notch for the more affordable brand of the two, but that doesn't mean that everything is cheap. You just might be surprised it won't cost you more. I wish that I had a CB2 in Center City Philadelphia so that I could've stocked our entire apartment with their stuff! read more

After many unsuccessful trips to other stores, I stumbled upon this place and immediately fell in love. Their decor is modern, fresh, and all things a 20 something year old with contemporary style would love. They have a wide variety of items ranging from furniture, to home decor, to kitchen utensils. Pretty much anything one would need when shopping for a home/apartment. Bonus - it isn't expensive! Granted, it isn't cheap either, but you're getting high quality bang for your buck.
