I traveled 1 hour in traffic from Long Island just to find out that CB2, a place I had traveled to purchase the Brava Sofa for over $2000, HAD NO BATHROOM FOR THEIR CLIENTS. I had to leave CB2, travel across the street to Home Depot, a company that apparently cares for their public more that CB2, to use the bathroom. I was appalled. I left Home Depot after using the bathroom and went straight to my car in a parking garage that I paid $20 to be parked. I ordered $1,000 worth of furniture and accessories online. For some reason I never recieved a confirmation email to set up the delivery. I waited 10+ minutes on the online chat system to get my questions answered before being told the session was ending because of long wait times. I then tried calling the number on the website, but found this line only asked me to answer surveys about Florida vacations and home security. After 35+ minutes of this I decided to go directly to the store. I had two goals 1) check that my email address on the order was correct and 2) set a date and time for the delivery of the furniture. The clerks at the store were very friendly and polite, but unfortunately were absolutely no help. I was told while they could see my order, they could not update or view my email address. Additionally they could not schedule the delivery directly. I was provided a different number to call. In a rush, I took the number and came home. I cannot believe it...the number is routing me back to the surveys about Florida and home security! If anyone could help me schedule my delivery that would be most appreciated. Or provide me a number to speak to a human person. If not, what is the process to request a refund? I've spent a lot of money and the customer service should be better than this. Although I spend too much time on their website, I prefer to go into this store to take a look/purchase after I actually feel the size/heft of items. I prob won't get a couch here, but they have some clear stools I'm in love with and beautiful decorative items like candle sticks/lamps/bar items. Let me start by saying that this isn't about the store as much as the customer service provided by cb2 as a whole. My boyfriend and I ordered a couch the second week of April and we are now in the second week of July and have still not received the couch. We had to call on our own to receive update and when we complained about the wait time, the response was just a bullsh*t response of well it was back ordered. The sales associate never told us that! We were told it would ship out around MAY 15th. That's a huge difference of finally finding out a week ago it was coming. When I called the multiple times I called for a shipping date one of the excuses I got was "blame Trump for his want of a trade war with China". Now I can't stand Trump but this is one of the only things that isn't his fault. I feel the customer service here needs to get its shit together. Love this place, and I love that they now have a midtown location. They have all of your dinner party needs for very low prices, and the quality is outstanding. You can easily lose your shirt in that place if you love to cook and to entertain. Can't say that they staff was too helpful, I don't think anyone asked if I needed anything, and I had to hunt someone down to ask where the baskets were. But then again, they just opened. This is more about the website than the actual store. i ordered barstools, the quality was not good so I sent them back. It takes 2-3 WEEKS to refund my money. I don't understand why the delay. I also emailed to inquire and received a response about a week later. I got the answer over the phone but I doubt I would order again considering how labor intensive it is to return something of bad quality. FedEx said that CB2 shipped it ground and I would not be getting my package till tomorrow, the day after my event. After speaking to numerous "customer service" agents, the matter was not resolved. Since I live in Manhattan, I suggested to have it messengered to me from one of their stores. Simple. The agent promised me that she would call me back yesterday. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I liked the style and price of many of the items. I decided on a "concrete" nightstand. First off they wanted $100 for delivery of a $300 nightstand. I've had 50'' flat screen TVs delivered for far less. Second, it takes more than a week for the store to call and tell me my nightstand is in. I go pick it up and take it home and begin assembling it and I get to the final drawer and it is simply too big to get into the slot. It is such absolute garbage quality I should have gone to ikea and saved the $200. I then call to get it picked up and a new one delivered and they hang up on. I hope this company goes into bankruptcy they sell awful quality furniture and useless junk for hundreds of dollars. read more

I placed an order online, for a sectional, which I fell in love when I saw it at the store. Two days after I placed my order, there was no sign of a confirmation email, which seemed very strange as it did appear on my CB2 account. So I decided to call customer service. I hope I hadn't done that as I had to wait 56 minutes and 23 seconds on the line until I lost my patience and hanged the phone. So my point is... CB2 customer service, you need to improve the attention to your clients. It is not acceptable to wait that amount of time on the phone. But the story doesn't end here... my girlfriend called the next morning and he waited 45 minutes, until someone answered the phone, she spoke with him for less than a minute because she got transferred with another worker, who again spoke for less than a minute, until the third finally did an ok job. read more

When I purchased a dresser last weekend from cb2 ues, I was told that I would receive a call from the store or the warehouse early in the week to schedule delivery for late this week or the weekend. I called the store on Thursday to see why I had not received a call yet. A store associate told me that they still don't have the dresser at the warehouse. He had the "I want to act sympathetic but I don't feel like it it so it is what it is" attitude (yes- I am reading into it and I have a right to do so if I am wronged as a customer). It's Sunday now, predictably still no phone call and no responses to my e-mail from the upper east side store. I am very disappointed. I will call the store this afternoon again (Sunday) and if they cannot provide a rational explanation, I will cancel my order, get my money back. Looking at the other bad reviews it seems like this location/brand has terrible customer service and if things do not go as planned they do not bother to offer any resolution. I thought this was the U.S.A, home to capitalism and a market based on profit in return for goods and services. I must have stumbled on a weird alternate place where those principals do not apply at CB2 in midtown. As a new homeowner, I went to CB2 seeking furnature to fill some of the blank spaces - not a small amount at that. They happened to have a floor sample on sale of a table I loved. I added the table to the list of full priced items I was intending to purchase - furnature that would not only compliment my living space but adding to CB2's bottom line. When my goods were selected and I was ready to pay, I was informed by the very nice sales person helping me that the floor sample I had fallen in love with would be delivered as is, they would not remove the table legs for delivery. There were a series of simple bolts holding the legs on, which I would be more than happy to put back myself post delivery. As most New Yorkers know, there is no way that physics would allow a fully assembled dining room table to fit through a door frame let alone in the elevator. When I pushed the sales person, pointing out that I would be paying over $100 in delivery charges, she asked her manager what they could do. The answer came back the same - the table would be delivered as is or not at all. Knowing that I didnt intend to eat meals on the sidewalk outside my building, I mentioned that it would be impossible to deliver the table as is. The answer came back the same. I left the store empty handed and CB2 lost out on a substantial purchase - all because of an unreasonable policy around two table legs. Even worse, they lost a customer. CB2 should rethink their flexibility and customer service. read more

The salesperson helped me (i.e. rolled my purchase) to the curb and was replaced by another associate who waited with me, in the rain, for my Uber to come. We purchased a bed frame from CB2 with a teak finish in 2013 in St. Louis at the store near the Galleria. In the move from St. Louis to NYC, we called to request assistance from the NYC CB2 store because the frame had broken in one section, and we were looking to have someone from the store work on the frame. Up to now, no one has returned our request to fix the defect, and the purchase of this bed cost us quite a bit of money. We are extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the service offered by CB2, and would not recommend that anyone buy products from the store. We do not purchase anything from them anymore, and instead buy furniture from Wayfair, which provides good quality and is much less expensive. read more

This store is a wonder. 2 years ago my husband and I bought 2 Nash lamps. One of the shades has yellowed with age. So I wrote to CB2 asking if I could purchase a new one. Well, they asked for further information which I provided. Yesterday, I received an email advising me that a new shade would be sent free of charge. This is service, not New York style. Quietly, New York has become home to several stores whose customer service is superb. CB2, Crate and Barrel, West Elm, Room and Board and Costco. Not New York and 1000% better than anything else here. They're all wonderful. read more
