This dealership is absolutely ridiculous. I purchased a vehicle here and within less than 30 days of having the car it is no longer drivable. The seller lied about the vehicle's condition. They provided misleading information and hid the fact that the vehicle has major issues. After contacting the dealership the "manager" Donald Williams gives me the run around for 2 days and refuses to take my calls. He even hung up the phone while trying to explain all of these issues. The vehicle has now been towed to 3 different mechanics. I had the car towed to another Cavender dealership near me (as I was instructed to do) where they proceeded to tell me that they are not even able to operate on the vehicle be they don't have the adequate system to do so. This has been the biggest headache and also unlawful on their part. I have been trying to get in contact with a supervisor but the so called "manager" Donald Williams refuses to give me their contact. I am completely shocked w how they run their business. This is an absolutely horrible place to purchase a vehicle with horrible management. I have been without a vehicle for almost 2 weeks now be they sold me a piece of junk and refuse to offer me a solution. High temptation to rip off the customer. Asked them to remove 4 factory overtighned Torqx bolts on my 2023 Rogue. Quoted 1 hr of work = $199...I offered to do (still unnecessary) oil change with them if they loosen bolts for reasonable fee. Service rep insisted it will be $89 for oil and still +$199 for bolts. Thanked - and drove to Paul's Oil Change in Rowlett. They took their impact driver and loosened bolts in literately 3 minutes. For curtesy I still did oil and tipped guys $20. I purchased a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox from this dealership not even two weeks ago and it is already in the shop with a check engine light and no acceleration (limp mode). It was my first time buying/financing a car so I brought my dad and stepmom with me to help me make the best decision. We picked a car with a reasonable price and under 23,000 miles. This past weekend it displayed "reduced engine power" and "limp mode" then the check engine light came on and I had to have it towed to a Chevrolet dealership under original warranty. I explained to Cavender the situation and how frustrating it was to not have a vehicle to get to and from work and asked them for a solution as the dealership had no loaners available at the time. Cavender said they could not help me and would not supply me with a rental or loaner because I didn't drive the car 40 minutes to them (even though warranty explicitly states these types of repairs should be done at a Chevrolet dealership). It's their "store policy" to not assist with loaners if the repairs are not happening there. Also, they didn't even read my messages properly because they messaged me asking about my interest in the car I already purchased and if I took it to them for repairs (first message stated I did not). So basically I am out my car I JUST financed with them, AND they will not assist me with any solutions. They will sell you an SUV that has no oil changes for 20,000 miles and lie about doing an oil change the day you buy it. When this SUVs engine goes out and needs to be replaced because of the lack of maintenance by the dealership they will take no ownership of the problem and say there is nothing they can do after trying to deny that you purchased the SUV from them. Terrible service!! ***Please read your sale control before signing! **** They tried to include things that were never agreed to multiple times before we signed paperwork but left out things we had agreed to off of the final sale agreement. I was told that the vehicle purchased was brand new but used as a loaner vehicle for the service department. Later, after getting settled into my car, I found registration paperwork for the prior owner of the vehicle I had just purchased... I brought this to my car salesman's attention, and it was met with pure apathy nor an apology. I was able to make contact with the prior owner of my vehicle who brought me up to speed with the reason she is no longer in this vehicle. To make a long story short, the vehicle has primer all over it! The dealership did not work with the prior owner to have all this removed instead got her into another vehicle and put the same vehicle back on the lot to be sold with hopes that a naïve customer would purchase it and not notice these defects. Also, I have reviewed all the documentation that was provided to me and discovered that multiple things I was told would be included with the purchase of the car, we're not! I had a disappointing experience with the service department of Cavender Nissan of Rockwall. I was having an issue with my AC where it was not turning on. I purchased a new compressor for my 2021 Nissan Rogue with 47000 miles on it and had an independent mechanic install it. When the ac still didn't work, I took my vehicle to Cavender Nissan to have a diagnosis completed to determine what the problem could be. Cesar Martinez assisted me with this service but was informed that the compressor was installed incorrectly as the wiring was faulty. I was quoted $2570 for a new OEM compressor installation along with a diagnosis for the problem. I took the information to my independent mechanic who connected a Snap on Edge Plus diagnostic tool and discovered that the ambient temperature sensor was open and not properly in place. After replacing the sensor, the compressor functioned perfect. My mechanic spoke with Mr. Martinez about this who claimed a 25-point inspection was completed. I paid $220.00 for an AC diagnosis, not a 25-point inspection. If the service I had paid for was completed, the issued would have been detected. This is disheartening to me as I trusted him to do what was requested in order for me to make the best possible choice. read more

This Nissan dealer changed owners sometime after I bought my Truck. Current events: 2025 Service review.Took my 34k in warranty 2022 Nissan Frontier. due to: 1. Transmission Recall - Not completed by them 2. Broken rear seat belt under warranty - Not Completed by them 3. ADAS (Advance Drivability Assistance System) malfunction. Vehicle Condition- Aftermarket windshield for the last 2.5 years 2 inch lift 3 years. According to Nissan Rockwall Service, I needed to pay a 3 hour re-calibration fee just to diagnose it. First red flag... Re-calibrantion takes 10 minutes. They claimed the malfunction was due to the aftermarket windshield & camera loose. FYI Mirror was lose not camera. So, I said no because they were both on vehicle for 2.5 years. to that I told them they made a wrong diagnosis if they could not figure it out to leave it. I went to pick it up and they had the nerve to charged me one hour... over $200.00. They never did the recall. They wanted to charge me for the seat-belt because it was broken after I bought it. Whats the warranty for? I took it elsewhere, 2 minutes into it They had a solution. It had a malfunction code clear as day C1B00-49 Bad camera. Replaced the camera..., problem solve. Replaced seat belt under warranty and did the recall. Nissan Mckinney has knowledgeable Technicians. I took it to Nissan because it is under warranty. It just so happens that I am an ASE certified master tech. They may play those games with others but not me. These people in Rockwall are either not very good at their job or they want to suck us dry. Either way I would not recommend them. Typical dealer, they are in the business of making money. Always read over the contract before signing. Finance office added $3,400 in add ons without asking us if we wanted it and trying to hide it by extending payment months, lowering interest by a few points and only raising the monthly payment by a few dollars hoping we didn't catch it. When we asked why the financed amount was so much more, he said he was doing us a favor and got our payment around the agreed amount before walking in to his office. Sneaky sneaky sneaky. Then came back with the usual if you don't take these add ons, we are raising the interest by a couple points. After running my credit and hours of waiting, someone claiming to be from mgmt came out and said there was an error on the price they listed the car at online and said that if we wanted the car, it would be an additional $5,000 above the aggreged price. Took too long to perform scheduled service. Once I left the service lot, my windshield washer fluid light came on. That tells me that this was not filled up during my vehicles service. I left at around 2:30ish and then called back to figure out why the fluid was not filled. I was told to come back. I explained that I just left here for my vehicle being serviced in and there was a discrepancy. He asked me who assisted me and I said it was Brian or something close to that. He knew who I was talking about and said he was out on a delivery or some thing. He told me to wait till he got back from the delivery. I was not willing to wait till someone got back from deliver to just get my fluid topped off when it should have been completed initially . I arrived early to my appointment and spent almost 2 hours there. This is the third time I have been blown off with this dealership. Not very happy or pleased with how business is done at Cavender in Rockwall. *Update 8 Aug 23* Guess what?? Still waiting for Cavender Nissan to fix my issues from the above. Windshield washer sensor is still broke and nobody has responded to my numerous calls and messages I have left. Time for a minus on the stars *. I blame myself for not reading all these terrible reviews about this rip-off dealership before going there for service. I sent my car in on Friday for oil change and diagnostics. They told me they will waive the diagnostics fees of $178 if I fix any of the problems they identified. I was told they were busy so they won't get to it on time. I agreed to pick it up the next day. I waited all day Friday and Saturday, but no call to even give me an update. I finally got to speak with the service adviser, Jim, around 11 am. He stated, "it's left with few things to cross-check and he was gonna call me back right back same day. He never called back even though I told him I needed the car for work on Monday. I kept calling all day on Monday and they either transferred me to voicemail or no one answered. I finally got to speak with Jim again around 12pm and he gave me a long list of things I needed to change totaling $4480...whoooop!!!!!! I did not plan for this huge bill. But I explained I could only afford to fix the brakes and rotors which still cost $650. He still demanded to charge me the diagnostic fee of 178 even though I was fixing a problem they diagnosed. He went back and forth with me regarding their rule that I knew nothing about. I requested to speak to a manager. He stated, I" will have him call you back so give me your number" and hung up. I waited for over 2 hours in my office and nobody called so I had to take time off from work to go meet the manager, Steve, who lied from the get-go, "oh, he just gave me your paperwork 5 minutes ago and I was about to call you." The situation did not get any better because Steve was more concerned about the money than all the frustration I had endured. He lied on several issues yet he did not like being confronted. He got upset and got loud especially when I told him they screwed me over by wasting my time. Nobody explained my car had to stay there for 3 days from Friday to Monday (yet he stated I did not give them enough time), "you did not even give us 24 hours. We don't even do diagnostics on Saturday." That was a lie because I had taken my car there for diagnostics and repairs before. He insisted he would charge the $178. Surprisingly, they had not even completed the oil change; he had frivolous excuses. I ended up paying the 178 dollars and took my car away because he was getting too loud like a lunatic just because I told him they screwed me over by wasting my time. Brought my car in for service for second oil change car has 11272 miles on it with a tire having a bubble forming in it. Was told it was covered even tho the tire manufacturer clearly states in their own warranty coverage that as long as it's within the 1st year and under 2/32nd of tread wear it is. this is the biggest rip off service department ever. i took my car in to be serviced because it would not power up or do anything. the main fuse had blown and i replaced it for $49 befofe i took it there. it was good when i took it there. they said the main fuse block was shorting out and it would fix it for $800. when i went to pick it up they had not replaced what they said. they replaced the same fuse not once but twice and charged $900 and they made a new key that was not authorized. now the bill is almost $1300 and they did not fix a dang thing. that is 10 months ago and i have complained to nissan, the gm, the service manager, the service writer and i have been ghosted by all. i guess they expect this will go away??? not at all likely. read more
