Despite repeated visits, the problem has not been repaired. Even worse, the dealership is now ignoring my follow-up calls instead of addressing the issue or providing a clear resolution. As a customer, I expect warranty-covered issues to be handled with professionalism, transparency, and urgency. Instead, I've been left with an unresolved transmission problem, wasted time, and no communication from the service department. Because this dealership has failed to repair the issue or even respond, I am now escalating the matter with GMC's District Manager and GMC Customer Assistance. I called left a message for the sales agent he did not call me back. I brought the car back I get a call saying the car is fine. The car is not driving past 30 miles an hour and is jerking the whole time I drive it withe the power train light stabilizer light staying on. To call me and tell me the car is driving fine is a complete shame. I hope I don't have sue them but I will cause putting my life in danger is not ok. read more

I took my truck in because the rearview camera wasn't functional and they told me I would have to leave my truck with them but they wouldn't be able to look at it for another two or three days and they have no loaners and that the list to get a loaner would take months. Really bummed to write this. Bought a certified used GMC here a month ago. Within a week, my breaks went bad, no washer fluid, low oil, and all the filters needed to be replaced. Now today, a month later, the motor is overheating and I'm without a truck as a single mom with a new baby. I called and they said they would charge me 180 for diagnostic. I cannot express how much I appreciate the business I experienced here. I worked with a few people here in the buying process, but the salesman I worked with is Steve Tolliver. I've purchased two vehicles on my own prior to this, and the difference was drastic. I wasn't pressured to purchase that day, wasn't guilted into adding extra coverage or made to feel bad when I opted not to, and the whole purchasing process and test drive took about 1.5 hours. That's incredible compared to other dealerships. I look at my car (that was delivered to me for FREE) and I have only positive thoughts. First time to this service department and made appointment online for 0730. Arrived 0715 only car that pulls up next to the windows of the office where 3 people are sitting at desks. I get out of my car stand in the doorway thinking someone will greet me. They don't even look up from where i just parked a car for like minutes. Some service places greet you at your vehicle and some want you to get out. Being my first time here wasn't sure what they wanted. Finally one guy looks up and says "oh can we help you?" I was like well yea, so he goes "oh sorry" then immediately passes me off to the other guy sitting closest to the window. This guy looks like his red stapler is missing. Then he asks me where my car was. This part is funny because I'm literally parked in front of the window you can't see the rest of the garage area because my car is blocking it! Clearly they hadn't had enough coffee this morning but no excuse! Could have been worse but come on now greet your customers! Even if to say we will be with you in a moment! An honest and reliable mechanic is essential for car owners to maintain a well running vehicle and proper maintenance. New to the area we took our trucks to be inspected for Texas registration and got mixed results. The one 2019 passed fine, the 2018 did not with the battery being the stated reason. Problem is the battery is fine. Had just been checked a few weeks prior and the truck was in great running condition. All lights, etc work too. When questioning the failure, they said it just died and they had to jump it. I asked for a retest and it started right away yet they failed it again saying it needed a new battery. The explanations varied from tech to sales to manager, nothing very consistent other than sometimes it just happens comments. Next day I took it to another local inspection place and it passed without any issues, as I expected. I get business is slow, but trying to hook me for. $350 better on my first visit will now cost them thousands as I won't return for my GM vehicles servicing needs. read more

I will start by saying I hate purchasing cars! What a beating dealing with typical hard close salesman. Well thats just the opposite of my experience with Shane at Heritage Buick in Rockwall. After my truck was involved in a fire I needed a truck quickly and didnt have proper time to really shop around like I normally would. I was wanting to purchase close to my home for warranty items and service. I was greeted by Shawn, a very young looking preppy Kid, OMG are you kidding me here we go. My opinion soon changed after about hour, this kid new his stuff. Not only that he was laid back and very professional and no hint of THE CLOSE! Anyway, I didnt want another diesel I told him, so we looked at regular gas trucks. During our test drive Shawn ask "How will you be using the truck and Will I be towing anything" Yes, I responded Boats, Trailers, our large RV. He proceeded with oh no you cant buy this truck you will not be happy and then will not be happy with me! No good he says, only the duramax with the Allison transmission. Well I must say I didnt want to pay for the upgrade, but I did take his word and I'm glade I did. also upgraded to the Denali package which includes the complete towing package, exhaust breaks and many other items. My wife and I recently purchased new RV and had to drive it back from Burbank CA, and we decided to take the route 66 and do little site seeing along the way, including Grand Canyon. This truck pulled our new RV 2017 Keystone 41' long, GVW 16K pounds. I'm sold on this set up, think only thing better would be dually. That Allison transmission is so smooth, up shift,down shift it does all the work without that High ref shifting from my old ford. between the exhaust break, and the Allison very seldom did I have to touch the break. when we got to climbing the mountain it also was effortless, the only thing I had worry about was running over the other trucks and cars not able make the grade. All I can say is WOW, what a truck. Yes, I paid more but I received much more truck than anything else on the market! I traded my 2008 Avalanche to Heritage for a certified pre-owned 2015 Sierra Denali. On the way home the transmission started slipping. I called my salesperson, Kacy Pina the next day to report the problem and he told me it might be the battery or a button on the steering wheel to change the transmission setting...huh? There is no button to change the transmission setting on this vehicle and a battery is not going to make the transmission slip! He obviously has very little knowledge about what he is selling! I had to put my vehicle in their service shop the next day. Was told it was the transmission pump, clutch and several other parts that had to be replaced, and it would take at least 3 weeks to get the part! How is this happening in a certified vehicle that was supposed to be thoroughly checked for problems BEFORE the sale? I called my sales person to complain, he said he would check on it and call me right back...waited 2 hours and no calls. I called the Sales manager, Mike Warren, and was told the same thing, waited 2 hours and no call back. I called back to talk to Mike to see what the problem was and was told someone else in the service department was supposed to call me back. Guess what, they didn't call and neither did Mike, the sales manager that made the direct promise to call me back. I was then met with the most unbelievably poor customer service that I have ever seen. Knowing my situation Mike proceeds to tell me that he has no reason to apologize or say he is sorry for my inconvenience or the broken down truck that he sold me. He also said everyone in town knows him, and knows that he is the best! He also tells me that there is nothing he can do for me, and really didn't care to talk to me anymore since he was busy at a car auction at the moment. I asked if there was anything that he could do for me to help get the truck repaired quickly or any other sort of help he could provide? He responded with, "what would you like me to do?" I asked what he normally does in situations like this to help the customer, he replied with "I cant do anything to help you and that any other dealership would have told me to stick it!" At the point I was done with his conceited attitude and piss poor customer service and asked to speak to his boss...he said "I am the boss!" Sorry Mike, but your general manager is the boss, not you! I then called the General Manager Robert Bobo who was quite a bit more friendly and understanding to me and vowed to get to the bottom of the problem. He also apologized for the way his sales manager had treated me and called back when he said he would and promised to make sure it is handled better going forward...so we'll see what happens. With that being said, this is what I want Heritage to know and remember. My wife and I are also in the market for another vehicle for her. An organization gains future business by treating their customers with respect and delivering top notch customer service from bottom to top, BEFORE and AFTER a sale. Right now, I do not feel like that happened with our purchase and I do not trust Mike Warren to sale me another vehicle! I feel like he could have handled things much better and came off as a jerk to someone that just handed him money! For that reason he will miss out on selling another vehicle to us. So, what could have been a VERY good pay day for Heritage by selling two vehicles to a customer, will now be less than half of what it could have been if they had treated their customer right to begin with! You can blame the loss of potential future profits from my family, directly on the attitude of your sales manager! Hopefully the general manager will correct the problem and be able to turn this problem around. In reading through other reviews here has also confirmed to me that I am not the only customer that feels this way! I would like to warn anyone considering their service department beware. I had my GMC in for warranty service. The first time they diagnosed and ordered aa wiring harness. Upon returning they kept it a day and realized they ordered the wrong part. The third time it was to be ready in a day. Then it was two days. I'm sitting here now after they guaranteed it would be ready. Evidently, they broke the brakes. I am still waiting. BEWARE HORRIBLE SERVICE Follow up: Today I want to pick up my vehicle and the brakes were out. It went in for ABS light on and another traction light. This dealership's service department takes advantage of women by fabricating issues with their vehicle even though there is nothing wrong with it. This is unethical, fraudulent, and shameful behavior and needs to be corrected. Heritage GMC's service department tried take advantage of my wife by attempting to defraud her of our money, all in total a few hundred dollars. My wife brought our 2015 Yukon, a certified vehicle that is under warranty and purchased earlier this year, because the car was shaking and vibrating during acceleration. At the time we were unsure what was wrong with the car, but it was very obvious that something was going on that was more than just the tires or an alignment issue. During her visit, as part of the vehicle inspection, the service rep first told her that rats had chewed through the air filter and he showed her a filter that looked like an animal had destroyed it, and he said it was an additional cost since it isn't covered under warranty. We decided to replace this ourselves afterwards and it was a little bit dirty, but there was nothing wrong with the filter. The service rep also told her that the windshield wipers would not pass inspection and that they needed to be replaced for a fee. Keep in mind that we purchased this car a few months ago and that it is a CPO which means it was registered and a thorough CPO inspection. Regarding the vibration, he told my wife that we would be charged a diagnostic fee of over 100 dollars to diagnose what the issue because they didn't want to "waste" their mechanics time trying to figure out what was wrong. Later that week I spoke to a co-worker who indicated that it is probably the torque converter and that he had the same issue and GMC replaced it under warranty. I researched torque converter failures on GMC and found that this is a fairly common issue with the 2015 Yukon. My wife ended up taking our Yukon to another dealership in Plano (way out of our way) who on the first visit easily identified the issue, charged us NOTHING, offered a loaner car, and was extremely communicative throughout the process. The dealership also said that nothing was wrong with the windshield wipers, air filter, and did not charge us a fee to diagnose the issue. Heritage should be ashamed of themselves. I will never do business with them and recommend that you don't either, and beware if you're a woman because they will attempt to defraud you of your hard earned money. read more

An out-of-state, online vehicle purchase can be (and was) an overwhelming experience. But salesman Robert Whittenberg was with me every step of the way and definitely went the extra mile. He was always available by phone and always ready to give an update on where we were in the process. I paid an independent company to come inspect the car, and he cooperated completely. Even after the sale, he still followed up with me to make sure everything was taken care of. I paid a transport company to pick up the car, and Robert was there to facilitate the process. When the car arrived in Florida, the temporary tags were missing. He wasted no time tracking someone down who could immediately produce a replacement and fax to me within minutes. However, I cannot in good conscience give this review higher than three stars due to how I was treated at one point on the phone. While talking to Robert, who was negotiating with his colleague (the used car manager) on my behalf, the used car manager began screaming at him in the background and started belittling me and threatening to sell the car to someone else. I found this behavior from a member of the staff to be highly insulting, and I very nearly ended things there. I appreciate that Robert called me back afterwards to apologize for the behavior of his colleague, but that experience left me feeling sick. What I hope is that this was an isolated event, and that others have not had a similar experience. So if you are considering buying a car from Heritage GMC Buick, please ask for Robert by name. From our conversations, I've found him to be an honest, hardworking man who will go to bat for you and get the best deal possible. read more

Fir the last several years I used Classic Buick and GMC in Carrollton. Since they were sold and the staff all fired I needed a new dealer. I was really happy to learn that some of the old Classic staff were now here. Lacey Morris in the service department was a breath of fresh air. I like straight forward and honest people. Showed them a long video of belt squealing extremely loud when cold outside. This not a 2 hours fix with $200 part. This is 10 min fix with a cheap belt. Told I have to come back, wait for them to call to set appointment, get a rent a car and wait till cold enough day in Texas to duplicate. Really? Come on this a brand new truck only few months old. Rather just pay to change myself, and save the time lost. Nothing against CS rep, he was a nice guy. I see that most of the these reviews are OLD. Shouldn't they be deleted when they are so out of date? Most of the personnel there have been replaced. The service manager was replaced just a few months ago and I have nothing but praise for his replacement. A lot of changes have been made, all for the better. I purchased my Canyon there a year ago. The deal and trade-in was very satisfactory. The service dept. has been exceptionally pleasing, even more so since the new manager has revamped their procedures. A recent visit there found that a tire with 14K was not repairable. Not in stock but they would have a new one in later on that day. I was given a ride home. When we went back late that afternoon, their tire machine had broken. They took my tire to the Chevy dealer and kept the doors open for me long after closing time. I'm giving one star to get your attention, my husband and I recently purchased a 2015 Tahoe from Heritage GMC Buick of Rockwall. JR was fantastic, worked us out a great deal to get us the vehicle we really wanted along with giving us an awesome deal on the car we traded in. Purchasing the vehicle was no problem of course, the problem arose when we took the vehicle to get serviced. Tire rotation, parking assistant needed servicing as well as a few other things. Galley (if that's how you spell her name) was the service lady we were paired with, never in my life have I ever had a problem with anyone up at Heritage GMC Buick of Rockwall, but Miss Galley took the cake. When we pulled up to drop the vehicle off and go over everything that needed to be serviced, Galley approached the vehicle with a terrible expression. She did not crack a smile at all, she did not ask us how we were doing or anything. Fast forward through the worst customer service experience ever, we were told the car would be done that day and that we would get a call for updates and a time to come pick it up. We never received a call so we assumed the car was unfinished and that we would get a call the next day. SIKE! We waited till about noon before calling and asking what was going on, Galley explained nothing to us, only that the car just wasn't finished yet and she would call us back with an update. Guess what? No call. So we again waited another day. My husband called again next morning, Galley explained the car was not finished and that she would call us when it was. Waited around till about 5-6pm and I called to see what the problem was. When Galley answered the phone she immediately seemed annoyed, I asked her about what time the car would be completed so that I could come up to get it (as I did not plan on going days without a vehicle) she huffed into the phone and said to me "again, I will call you when it's ready" I was appalled. I am a paying customer who has brought multiple vehicles from Heritage & I couldn't believe the sass coming from this womans mouth. Galley, if you do not enjoy where you work, or what you do for a living, here's a piece of advice. QUIT. The only thing you served us was attitude. This review is for the Service Center. Sort version: I took my car in with an annoying issue, and they returned it to me with a serious issue and refuse to take responsibility. Long version: My air conditioner on my 2015 GMC Terrain with 32K miles stopped working, so I took it to an independent shop. They told me it was the evaporator, but since my car is under factory warranty, I should take it to the dealer because it should be repaired for free. I called Heritage and made an appointment, telling them about the evaporator at that time. At my appointment, they told me they were going to put dye in it to look for a leak. I explained that this had already been done and no leak was found. They said they wanted to check in case the first shop didn't put enough in. Sure enough, no leak was found, so they told me nothing was wrong and had me take my car home. Of course, the air still wasn't working, so I called them back and took it back in. What do you know!?! It IS the evaporator after all! (Duh.) They fix it. Wonderful. Then, I get a call that "as we were driving it around to make sure it is fixed correctly, we noticed it was pulling to the left. Was that happening before?" It wasn't. They asked if it could have been pulling slightly and I didn't notice. I said I suppose that's possible, but I got an alignment in March and haven't had any more issues. They ask if it has been in an accident. Yes, October of 2015. They insist that that's the problem. The accident from a year and a half ago. I know that's BS, but go pick up the car to see it for myself. It's pulling by at least 30 degrees- so badly that the traction control light is on constantly. I take it back immediately and say there's no way it was even close to that when I took it in. I get a blank stare. I stare back. Finally, she says "well the evaporator isn't anywhere near the suspension...so..." and I say "so the alignment just magically threw itself out that badly? I find that hard to believe." Then, I talk to the service manager, who won't say anything until they look at it. I make an appointment to come back, because of course they can't look at the problem they created immediately. That same day, I took it back to the first repair shop, where they confirmed that there must have been a considerable incident, as it couldn't have gotten that bad overnight without an outside force. I went back to Heritage to my appointment this morning and after waiting 2 hours with no information, I go up to the desk and ask for an update, where I was told it would be nearly $450 to fix. I said, "but the problem happened here. Are you telling me there's no way something could've happened? I understand it might not have happened while the car was opened up, but maybe when it was being moved around the property? Someone could have hit a curb by mistake? I'm not trying to be difficult- mistakes happen- I just need my car working properly." She says "No, ma'am, that's impossible. We didn't move it around the property." First of all, nothing is "impossible." Improbable, sure. Impossible, no. Secondly, YOU TOLD ME YOU WERE "DRIVING IT AROUND" TO CHECK IT. I pushed more and was met with more blank stares. In the end, I had a screaming baby and NO desire to let these people anywhere near my car, so I left, and took it to the honest repair shop who has been assisting me every step of the way. Scott's Automotive in Forney will be cleaning up these people's mess, and I urge everyone to do business with them. They have been helpful, honest, and forthright, even when I wasn't paying them and they didn't have to. read more
