First time trying. We don't have these in Vegas. Line was wrapped around the restaurant but moved pretty quickly. Built my order on the website so I could move through quickly. Employees were friendly and the food was good. I recommend.

CAVA is newly opened at the Cross County Mall. They held a community event last week, through Eventbrite. You would have had to claim one ticket per diner ahead of the event. They had two serving times for lunch and dinner. We opted for dinner, which was between 5-8P. Parking was fine because there are huge lots nearby. I arrived ahead of my family but went inside since the line looked deceptively long. When I got to the door, one of the staff asked if I had my ticket. I said I did but I had to get it out of my phone. It was raining heavy and I was juggling my phone and my umbrella. The manager was very pushy and off-putting. He rushed up to me after the other employee asked for my ticket. I'm assuming they had a lot of people try to enter that did not have tickets. He was very excited and said he could get the ticket with my name. He was blocking the entrance. I gave him my name and asked to move inside so that I could get settled, as it was raining and I was getting very wet. He finally moved back and gave me space and before he could do whatever he was trying to do, I brought up my ticket and let him scan it. I mentioned that I was waiting for my family and we had 4 tickets altogether. He said I couldn't block the doorway. Not sure why. I asked if it was OK to sit at a table. He repeated that we can't block the doorway. I asked again if I could sit at a table and he finally said that was fine. He was giving extremely nervous energy and had a bit of a power trip, which I observed with how he handled other guests that arrived. My family arrived and parked right out front. I approached him and said they were coming in, and pointed out my two kids and husband. I told him again that I had the tickets but he ignored me, opened the door and asked them for tickets. I repeated myself and he scanned my phone. We walked to the line and for some reason, he stopped my husband and asked him for his ticket (I'm assuming because he doesn't look like us). I again said that he scanned the tickets (4 in total). He was weird. I don't like his energy and he should definitely curb it in this location. People in this area will not be willing to put up with that kind of treatment on a daily basis. It's funny because he was touting to so many people that they needed tickets, but one couple tried to enter, didn't have any tickets, and the he let the guy pretend to show him a ticket on his phone yet did not scan it, so he was definitely showing favoritism to some diners. That happened right before my family entered. I was standing next to them when it happened. We ordered, the food was good, and the rest of the staff was very nice. This manager, however, treated different people very differently. We were eating our meals right in front of the entrance so we saw his interaction with everyone that arrived. I think they could have saved a lot of confusion by having a sign outside of the entrance, explaining that it was a private event and that tickets were required. That would have prevented people form trying to enter. They had takeaway bags ready to give people that did not have tickets, and he picked and chose who to give those bags to, was very standoffish with some people, and a little nasty to others. He was ridiculing one woman who did not understand that it was a private event, who asked questions. He was not trying to be helpful. Instead, he held his hand up to his ear when she said that he wasn't listened to her. It was quite unnecessary. Another woman stopped by without tickets, and he gave her two bags of food and a cup for a beverage even though she was by herself. He seemed like he was on something. He was extremely high energy. He picked up the A-frame sign they had and placed it outside only to turn around and bring it back in. He was rushing people to ask for tickets. It was a lot. I liked the food but if that guy is there on a regular basis, I probably won't visit. I'd have to drive to get here and it's honestly not worth it to deal wtih someone like him. Despite it being a free event, they asked for donations to help with food insecurity which puts a damper on the way this particular manager was treating people that did not have tickets.

Been waiting for this place to open ever since I heard they were coming to Cross County. I came in last Sunday opening weekend and came early to beat the crowd. Place was nice a clean upon entry and no line. We both wanted steak so we chose to wait for a fresh batch since we both creating our own bowls. It was the first time my partner was trying Cava eating healthy is so important now a days. Staff were very respectable and I really enjoyed my bowl.

This CAVA opened up about a month ago or so at the Cross County Mall, and I was lucky enough to be a part of an exclusive community event for its grand opening. We arrived and parked right outside to meet up with a family member who already had our tickets. As we entered, a man who appeared to be security opened the door and asked for our tickets, to which our family member responded and had their phone scanned for them. Despite this, he stopped one of us and asked him for his ticket, even though said ticket was--of course--already scanned; this behavior was made even more odd by what appeared to be "selective security." He told potential entrants that they needed their tickets, but there was one couple in particular that tried to enter without them that he let pretend to show him a ticket--without scanning. Indeed, very odd, selective behavior--hopefully not a regular occurrence. Other than this experience, the food was great, and the staff otherwise very helpful. CAVA usually has a fantastic set of options to choose from for bowls and wraps, with great flavor, texture and relatively healthy caloric content for a fast casual restaurant. While that initial experience somewhat put a damper on things, I'd say it's definitely a good place to frequent if you need/want something quick that also tastes great and doesn't kill your macros, so long as staff interaction with patrons match it.

Someone needs be clean the dining area. Please!

Food is okay. Place is unkept. Please do have someone wipe the table and mess on the floor

They're only a 15 minute drive away, so it's pretty convenient, especially when we don't want conventional fast food. We ordered some pita sandos and headed out to pick them up. When we arrived, there were still people at table, enjoying their meals. It's not very intuitive, where you should stand when you enter. You have to basically walk past people eating dinner at tables, in order to get your pick up order. They really should set something up at the front of the restaurant. We were a bit confused, so we waited by the front, where there are stacks of menus. One of the staff walked towards us and he looked annoyed. I definitely did not like the way he was looking or speaking to us. It was definitely a complete 180° from the lady time we visited. The same employer was much nicer at that previous time. I told him we were picking up an order and gave my name. He had us walk towards the kitchen area, we're standing right by people eating at tables. The setup is really bad. We paid and got our food, and headed home. The pita sandos were good but they kind of overdo it with the tzatziki. I would probably have them put it on the side. All of them were drenched in it. I had the shrimp, hubby had their gyro, and my son had their pork version. We got our Little, their Hercules burger from the kids menu. It's bifteka on pita, with lettuce and tomato, and fried, sliced potatoes on the side. She liked it and I rated a bit. It was very flavorful but messy to eat. Aside from weird in-person interaction, the woman that took our initial order was nice on the phone, the food tasted good, and I would probably order again, but likely not ever dine in. The vibes were too uninviting.

Tino's Artichoke is a tasty start - an artichoke dip with feta and sun-dried tomatoes served with pita chips. We'll usually get the mixed grill (but subbing lamb in for the beef, way more flavor). Or, a mix of grilled octopus, grilled calamari and a salad. Everything is very flavorful and goes great with the pita bread. Our calamari was a little chewy this last visit, which surprised me. It's never like that. Octopus is always tender and comes with tasty charred onions, peppers, caperberries. Other delicious dishes here - chicken shish, the steak, gyro, grilled shrimp, lamb shish. Lately they've been decorating tables with fresh flowers - nice touch and complements the candles.

I hadn't had mediterranean in a while and I'm not head over heels for the place near me so I wanted to try something new. This place seemed decent enough. The ingredients were fresh and that dressing was lovely. It was a salad I actually enjoyed instead of regretting the entire time I glared at my coworkers who ordered real shit with envy. The hummus was also very creamy, authentic hummus with a slightly different taste than I am used to but head and shoulders above any store bought bullshit. Everyone else said good shit about their food. I tried one of GF's falafel from her platter and it was really good. My only complaint is for $24 or whatever it is, i would expect more than a few falafel balls and one side. Kinda a rip off. But everything tasted really, really good.

Sad to say, after being loyal customers, this place turned us off tonight permanently. I placed a large anniversary dinner order by phone, including tahdig ($12). During the call, I specifically asked if the rice came with tomato and onion and was told no it comes with the tahdig that I ordered. So yes it comes with the order. I was also asked whether I wanted the gheymeh on top or on the side of the tahdig. I chose on the side. When I got home, the order didn't match what was discussed: The tahdig wasn't traditional rice tahdig like me or my wife have had countless times. It was more like this brownish, sheet-like, crumble with a few flecks of rice on the crumble, but not crispy. Not Persian tahdig. The gheymeh was missing entirely, despite being discussed on the call. The tomato and onion that I was told were included were not there. The fesenjan had only a few pieces of chicken. The ghormeh sabzi was okay, but pretty underwhelming in flavor. I called politely to clarify about the missing tahdig (for next time) and was told someone would call me back. No one did. When I called again an hour later, the same person who took my original order responded in a dismissive and accusatory tone, unilaterally escalating her tone and voice immediately, almost angrily accusing me of daring to call, and told me that the tahdig does not come with gheymeh, and tomato and onion aren't included either. (This is the opposite of what I was told when ordering). She repeatedly interrupted me, talking over me, instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue. We've been coming here since moving from Southern California a few years ago, whenever we felt homesick and wanted some Persian food. The food has always been....OK....nothing like Persian restaurants in Toronto or Southern California, but we continued ordering out of nostalgia and lack of other options. However, this experience today, incorrect information, missing items, no follow-up, and then, the way the situation was handled was our final turn off. Disappointing, especially for what was meant to be a special occasion. We won't be returning, nor will our visiting Persian family or friends.
