The bowl was not filled as generously as usual, and one of the pita chips I received was INEDIBLE , extremely BITTER AND BURNT. Omg. This place!!! Legit!!! We moved to Temecula 7 years ago and I was so disappointed there was no Mediterranean chipotle type places. In our previous city I always went to Sajj and I was obsessed. I've seen the cava and didn't know what it was, it sounded like a coffee place to me so I never checked it out. If I could give zero stars, I would. Placed a $60 order for 3 people (very spendy). When we got it home, the nearly $17 steak and harissa bowl was missing most of the ingredients, including the steak. Zero meat at all. There was a hand full of lettuce with some dressing that I paid almost $17 for (see the pictures that show what was supposed to be included). What a total rip off! One of the greek chicken pitas was missing half its meat. Overall, I am extremely disappointed over this waste of money, and doubt if I will try this place again. There are too many other reputable businesses that get it right, rather than throwing money away at Cava. I doubt if this place will survive very long. read more

Attended the soft opening of this location today, a welcome addition to Temecula. If you're wondering if it's your type of place, think Chipotle but Mediterranean. Build your own item with the many fresh and flavorful options they provide. The service was quick, of quality, and attentive. The staff was welcoming, answered questions about menu items, and checked in after obtaining my food and being seated...it's touches like these that will turn first timers like myself into repeat customers. I think my favorite part, although it was all delicious, were the harissa pita chips...they were wonderful! I am a water drinker 90% of the time but decided to try the lemonades they make in house. I tried all of them and the classic lemonade was the perfect accompaniment to my meal. I'm not a soft drink person but I believe the ones they offer are a favorite of many. Walked in to find a line wrapped around the inside of the store. We waited in line for half an hour and about we ordered, a handful of things were gone or were still in the back still cooking such as the chicken and basmati rice. The small pita bread that accompanies your salad bowl was sold out. Nothing was offered on exchange for that . Five of the in house made soft drinks were depleted, no napkins available as well. From what I saw in the half hour I stood in line, no one is walking around the dining area and wiping down the tables or refilling the stations Food was very delicious, but no big portions here. Felt like the toppings, chicken and rice was served sparingly... don't let the pictures on the app fool you. The men's bathroom was out of order and only four tables to sit outside, two of which only had umbrellas. There's also no trash can outside, so you're forced to walk around the building to throw your trash away. Will not be back for a while. They need to work out all the kinks here, beginning with keeping the proper amount of food in stock for their customers. It's best to let the hype dwindle down. read more

I am so so so happy that we finally have a location in our backyard. We live in Wildomar/Murrieta area, but this is definitely worth the 20 minute drive because normally we would have to go to the Moreno Valley location or San Marcos. Obviously it's busy because it's delicious and popular and everybody wants to either try it or is coming back because they already love it. As far as service I've been twice to this new location and all of the employees were nice and helpful and working well under pressure. A specific shout out to Aili because she helped me two days in a row and was so sweet both times. this location seems to be doing great so far it's just busy which is to be expected. Both days I got a kids pita for lunch and also ordered a bowl for later since it is a little bit out of the way and I want to make the trip worth it. I will say the inside is a little small but nicely decorated, and once this place has been running for a little bit longer I'm sure they will get all the little kinks worked out like running out of stuff or mobile orders being behind. You can't expect perfection right when they open, but I feel like overall I had a great experience because the food was delicious and great portions and the staff were nice which is to me what is most important. i will definitely be coming back. read more

I want to commend you for your commitment to employing individuals with special needs. It's a fantastic initiative that makes a positive impact. However, I believe it's important to analyze the skills of each individual prior to assigning them to specific tasks. For example, during my recent visit, I noticed that Davian (if I remember her name correctly) had some difficulty with the bowls. She appeared quite anxious and somewhat aggressive, which resulted in her making bowls out of order and not following the specific requests for toppings. I had to step in and ask her to stop, which I believe could have been avoided with better preparation and understanding of her abilities. Additionally, I found that the complimentary pita bread was not offered as part of the experience, which feels a bit disappointing given the cost of the bowls. When customers have to specifically ask for items that should typically be included, it can detract from the overall service experience. But when I went to pick up my order today I did have to wait a bit, but I along with many others were being patient. Why? Because we saw how hard the workers were working. Went there on opening day. It was crazy busy but the line moved well enough (although mobile ordering did not seem like a good idea). I had a pita sandwich. It was large and tasty. The pita was actually quite huge. I got steak but will try lamb next time and "build my own". My wife had a bowl. She went rice and lettuce (half and half). Pro tip: lettuce is a topping, so go all rice (more rice!) and add lettuce as a topping for a more full bowl. She had chicken and falafel for her protein, enjoying both). Being a cava lover myself, I wanted to try this new location! Was super excited and the location itself didn't disappoint! It was nice, cleans and overall orderly. The parking is a tiny bit tight and busy due to the shopping center overall. Food and experience wise, were a on the less exciting end. Obviously most employees we can assume they're newer, but it felt like the menu wasn't something they knew much of. Not a huge deal, but we didn't get all the toppings and had to ask. Checking out was another story. The girl at the register was as still learning, which again we are aware and recognize, however when i tried to use my points she said she didn't know how and didn't ask for assistance. We let that go paid and then asked for a bag and handed it us with a lot of attitude. I try to be extremely positive as you can see by the rest of reviews but this is not the best cava location i've ever been at the moment. We will most likely try it again but maybe in a couple months once it's more settled in. Will update! read more

I understand this restaurant is new and popular, but the poor organization made for a frustrating experience. If demand is outpacing production, they should either pause online orders or provide accurate wait times. I placed my order at **7:58 PM** with an estimated pickup time of **8:15 PM**. I arrived at **8:25 PM** and didn't receive my food until **9:30 PM**--overpast the original estimate. What made it worse was that the walk-in line moved quickly (customers were served in **20 minutes or less**), while online orders were clearly neglected. The lack of management was evident. Staff should greet customers, verify receipts, and provide realistic updates on wait times--especially for those who arrived when originally told. Online orders should at least be expedited if customers arrive on time. The food itself may be good (it's clearly popular), but the operational issues need urgent attention. We used to LOVE cava so much, but it feels like the quality has gone down hill over recent years. The meats are often way overcooked and dry or have tendons attached. The garlic sauce sometimes tastes really different than normal. And when ordering delivery it feels like the employees don't really pay much attention to your order.. I always as for 2 servings of pickled onions and Kalamata olives because they're my favorite topping and they left out the onions completely and I only found 3 or 4 olives. Sucks. Definitely won't be ordering delivery again as it's the 2nd time they've messed up my order. read more

Very sparingly do I leave bad reviews for businesses, but after our take out experience tonight I felt compelled to write this review. Upon initial opening of this location I was reading a ton of mixed reviews, most being negative. I decided to give it a couple months of them being open to visit, to allow the business to get their bearings. Unfortunately, they have not. We ordered two greens and grains bowls tonight as delivery. When our orders arrived, immediately we noticed one of the bowls was about 60% full. As we opened the bowls, we both noticed there were a ton of discrepancies in both bowls. One was completely missing the grains, in a greens and grains bowl, so disappointing. Additionally, it had the incorrect greens, as well as several other missing toppings. The 60% full bowl had probably a tablespoon of "greens" and was also missing several toppings. Thinking we maybe received the incorrect order, we checked the individual stickers on the bowls which listed everything we used on the app to be put into the bowl, and both were what we ordered with our correct name. Not sure if this was incompetence or trying to end the night without having to restock (even though we ordered two hours before closing) but it's inexcusable when you charge $20+ per bowl and consumers use an app to list out ingredients to be put into a bowl. read more
