Service sucks, food is mid these YNs don't give AF I've been waiting in the pick up window for 15 mins.

I placed an online order at CAVA with a scheduled pickup time of 12:15 PM. I didn't get my food until 1:15 PM. That's an hour late--even though I showed up 30 minutes after my designated pickup time, thinking I was giving them plenty of leeway. I could have gone through the in-store line four times in the time I waited. The only reason this isn't a 1-star review is because the staff was friendly and clearly doing their best in what looked like a very understaffed situation. The food itself was solid (as usual), but CAVA really needs to get their online ordering system under control. Either update it to reflect realistic wait times or stop accepting online orders altogether during peak hours. This experience was frustrating and made me second-guess ordering ahead in the future. read more

I've been to plenty of CAVA locations and usually love the experience, but this one was something else entirely. I waited in line for 40 minutes -- yes, forty. The place was severely understaffed, and it showed. The employees seemed unsure of the menu and how to assemble some of the bowls, which slowed things down even more. It honestly felt like chaos behind the counter. If you're planning to stand around for half an hour (or longer) just to get a salad, this is the spot for you. The worker took the spring mix right out of the plastic bag right in front of me without rinsing it. The person at the register acted like I was not there and started to ring up the customers behind me. Like everywhere else these days, people work too slowly, so it took a while to get my food. Too expensive for the amount of food you get. One complimentary small piece of pita bread! You have to pay an extra couple of bucks for a different kind of lettuce if you get a particular bowl; it's just lettuce! Unreal. read more

We've been waiting for Cava in Temecula for a year & it was worth the wait!! We lived through a new store opening while in Phoenix & the Temecula location has been much smoother for us. We have ordered 3 times now through the app. I got text notifications with updates on my order & each time the food was ready and waiting when I arrived. Each time I walked in, I was greeted with a "Hi! Welcome to CAVA!" The food has been consistent with what we got in San Diego. Great flavors, fine portions, everything fresh. I have always wanted to try Cava but there was never one close to me until they opened in Temecula. The line was extremely long so I decided to download the app and order online. My order was ready in 15 minutes while the people in front of me in line still had barely moved. I ordered the falafel bowl.It was amazing and the spicy pita chips are so good. The restaurant was nice although there isn't a lot of seating.The food is fresh and extremely healthy compared to most of the other similar restaurants. I will definitely be ordering from Cava again. read more

Food tastes good. But you do not get what you pay for in my opinion. Paid appropriately $18 (I had paid extra for chicken, which I very obviously did not receive). Overall decent. We stopped by on a Monday around 530. There were probably 5-7 people in line in front of us but it still took about 20-25 minutes to get our food ordered. Overall the restaurant was pretty dirty. Food/debris on the ground throughout. Food was good, but not sure we need to go back for the pride and the service aspect. read more

It's really great! The wait was worth it. I got 1/2 splendid salad and lentils. Falafels and cooked veggies. Hummus/ crazy feta / taziki dips. Pretty much put all toppings on and topped with garlic sauce. Drink stand had some good assortment. Got Jazmine tea. The quality of the avocado was quite literally brown and you could tell they cared more about getting customers out of the store than having any sort of customer service. I feel bad because I love love Cava. I was excited about acaba opening in Temecula. Unfortunately, Cava in Temecula sucks. And I understand the negative reviews. It's my second time going to this location. First time they ran out of pickled onions, avocados, and pita bread. I went today, and no Feta, no steak, no tortilla chips, and no avocados. C'mon guys! I hope the owner of this location pays attention to these reviews. No Feta! That's wild! Both times they didn't restock, literally scraping the hummus. I hope this changes ASAP! I came here on a Monday at 5pm. As it was dinner time, there was a bit of a line, but they were slowly getting through it. The employees were really nice! But the store and the food could use some help. I ordered two spicy lamb and avocado bowls ($18.55 each, which is expensive since they don't fill the bowls all the way like in the pictures). The worker already began to make the bowls when she realized that she was low on lentils and meatballs. She ended up going in the back to grab some. They were also out of several sauces and the Persian cucumbers, so I ended up missing ingredients that I technically ordered. If I had known they were out of so many things prior to them serving me, I would have just ordered something else. The toppings I did receive were, for the most part, tasty. The vegetables were fresh. Unfortunately, the lentils the worker got from the back were NOT ready to be served. They were undercooked and crunchy. This makes me worry about the cook on the meatballs, as she got those from the back as well. Fingers crossed. read more

After waiting about half an hour in line you can see what is served ahead of you. Here is what I learned from them after giving them another try and seeing: 1. Daintily pick up a few leaves with the tong. Go back a second time and pick up a few more leaves. This gives the impression by going back a second time they really want to show you that they are giving you more. 2. Barely give one scoop of chicken. And get this! Go in the second time, with the spoon upside down and flip the spoon to get some pieces of meat onto the spoon! Do you see it? By rolling the spoon, it looks like a serving but merely catching a few pieces that flipped onto the spoon. Instead of going in like a normal person with a scoop, you get shorted the proper amount by this trick. read more

It took 35 minutes to order my food -- in person. While I understand that the location is new and still getting settled, I'm struggling to understand why it took so long just to scoop my meal. They weren't out of anything, so the delay felt unnecessary. On top of that, the portion size was disappointing. You're paying $14 for a bowl that isn't filled properly and doesn't look appetizing. I usually love CAVA, which makes this experience especially frustrating. I'd recommend holding off on visiting this location for at least a month or two to give them time to work through the kinks -- it seems they're still trying to find their rhythm. read more

I went yesterday to pick up an online order not knowing it was only like day 3 of them opening so it was pretty packed and busy. Had to wait a little longer for my online order however I felt so bad for the staff. They all look young and super overwhelmed by the crowds. I don't think they were ready for the sheer volume of people that came in and they were all trying their best. They were being very nice to people even while being yelled at and berated by angry impatient customers. I understand the frustration from people wanting their food but it was just so sad to me.
