Not much for kids on the menu, but if you are smart, just get them a bowl of basmati rice and chicken. I loved the flavors, but falafels are small and didn't add much to my pita. Disappointed in the crispy falafel pita, it was a large taco. It wasn't crispy at all. I have had Falafel king in West LA for many years growing up, and this place falls way short of that experience. The falafel pita didn't look appetizing at all. It looks like a large taco, and the pita doesn't taste like any pita I have ever tasted. It's almost airy like a piece of bread. A Mediterranean falafel is flat and can be sliced open to stuff items inside. Well, needless to say the pita isn't very good, but what they put inside would taste good if the falafels were actually larger than a quarter. They put four falafels in each pita, not enough. The wife's bowl tasted great, she had the lentil avocado bowl. It's basically a salad with good ingredients. The proteins they offer are chicken and lamb meatballs. The chicken is grilled well and has a good taste. The value for what you get is adequate. Would I come back ? Hmmmmm, I don't know. My wife would, but I left hungry. This place has potential. They put very little in my pita, like they were rationing out the ingredients with little tiny scoopers, maybe two tablespoon of hummus and roasted eggplant. So I have been to Huebner and Alamo Heights locations, and sadly I won't return here. I needed Uber Eats because I was at my doctor's office, and not only was my order not prepared with the double quantities that I selected on the app (y'all think I never ate here before?), but I didn't get any utensils or napkins for my SALAD, plus the roasted vegetables were BURNED, to the point it made me sick. Very satisfied with his responsiveness and willingness to correct the issue. Lines are long but move quick. I am a huge fan of their harissa and harissa vinaigrette (the harissa and other condiments can be bought a Whole Foods), and it pairs well with the fire roasted veggies. I am wavering between 4.5 and 5 stars - the food. 5 stars hands down. The ordering process and customer service... maybe 4/4.5. I'll go with a 5, because the food really was the winner here! Think of it as a Mediterranean Chipotle or Freebirds. You can choose to go with a pita wrap, s salad or a bowl. The menu is sort of self explanatory, but they definitely did not ask "Have you ever been here before?" Which by the way we were reading everything.. you would think they would then try to at least walk us through the process a little better. But we eventually got the jist of it, and went with it. They have lots of options when it comes to your choice of greens, grains, meats, sauces, toppings and dressings. And its extremely customizable. We ordered to go, you walk through the line just like Chipotle, Mod Pizza or Freebirds. Start with a bowl...got grains and greens. Arugula and Lentils. Sounds good enough. Next - sauce. You can choose up to 3, I chose 2. Eggplant Spread and Tzatziki. Protein is next! They did not mention anything about upcharges to meat for different protein, my husband was behind me, and they did mention to him, different proteins do cost extra. But you can also do 2 proteins, half portions of each, or full (I am sure this costs extra). Decided on Falafel and Roasted Veggies. Great choice! Then comes the toppings, which she did mention was unlimited, only upcharge was for avocado. There was pickles, marinated coleslaw, pickled red onions, marinated tomatoes, feta, olives so much stuff! Got a little of everything. Then dressings... and you can either get on top or on the side. There are labels in front of each section, naming off what things are, so you don't have to point and ask "what's that?" "and this?" Which was nice. The staff was super friendly, restaurant was clean. Spacious - lots of table and chairs available, but seemed as if a lot of people were getting take out. Got home - enjoyed the bowl. Holy smokes. I think the flavor of everything was excellent. So fresh tasting, and a great size portion. I think I could've definitely had leftovers, but I was ravished! So I ate it all. When you sit down the wait staff brings you fresh naan and a plate of olive oil with spices and feta.
