So my husband and I wanted to take his mom out for breakfast. He found this place and everything sounded and looked great. When we got there it was a small restaurant located in a shopping strip between huebner and blanco. When we walked in we were greeted and told to sit anywhere we'd like. We sat down and ordered coffee which was amazing! Best pick me up. We glanced over the menu and decided what we wanted. I ordered the migas plate, my husband ordered the veggie omelette, and my mother-in-law had the pancake meal. When reading the description of the plate it did seem like a lot of food, but it was well portioned. Everything came out pretty quick. I loved mines and did take a bite of what everyone ordered. I have to say that I have never had a meal where I don't feel completely stuffed. This meal left me satisfied and feeling full but not the bad full. Every bite was delicious! You can tell they use fresh ingredients. My mother-in-law who is extremely picky and hardly ever finishes her meals ate everything. My husband did not leave one bite behind. Lol Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a very satisfying meal. Customer service was great. Everyone was super nice, attentive and patient. This place is located inside of the gold's gym and it's a good find. This place has an amazingly extensive menu- burritos, quesadillas, tacos, breakfast foods, pasta, salads, rice bowls, smoothies, you name it! Everything here also tastes really fresh and healthy, so you leave feeling refreshed and full. I ordered the bbq chicken salad and it was good but they put the hot chicken on the salad and it made the salad hot. If it was just up to my rating, it probably wouldn't have gotten as good of a review from me, but my friends orders were really good! One friends got the céasar salad and loved it. Another ordered the French toast breakfast with a lemonade and she liked it but there either grains or nuts in the toast, so be mindful of the texture. She said the potato's were to die for. And then the last friends got the shrimp tacos with the cesear salad and she enjoyed her food the most probably. I would def come here again! This place was close to where I was working and offered dine in. I Walked in at 11:50 am. Ordered the Angus burger with gluten free bread and sweet potato fries. Inside was relatively clean . They have every other table closed and we're wiping each table down with bleach as each guest left. You order from a counter with the menu on a giant board on the wall. Lots to choose from. Call me old fashioned but I like a sit down with a menu in a place I have never been before. I Always seems pressured to make a quick selection from a new menu as people line up behind you. After you select you pay and have a seat while they prepare you order. My burger was pretty good. The sweet potato was an actual potato, not fries. I liked it a lot. Stopped in for a late breakfast today with my daughter. Simple and basic but clean and very friendly staff. So many breakfast items and combinations to choose from.. a little overwhelming. I'm doing a modified keto or maybe paleo diet and it was easy to find what I needed. My daughter is eating close to whole 30 and she also found something that worked. I enjoyed what they call a quesadilla (wrapped in whole wheat tortilla) which is eggs, mozzarella, spinach, pico de gallo. It's huge and comes cut into 3 sections. I only allowed myself 1/3 of the tortilla but all was really good and the kicker is the three house sauces they offer. I picked the dark green one after trying all 3 and it made the meal. Mine had a small serving of mixed fruit with it. My daughter had an omelet which came with fruit and black beans and she raves about it. We had tea and coffee and were checked on regularly. Plenty of food to take home. I've added them to my list of places I frequent. read more

Cafe Vida was much more than we expected. It was just by chance that we saw this small cafe kind-of hidden away in a strip mall at the SW corner of Blanco and Huebner. The place was incredibly clean, the lady who greeted and served us was very nice, and the menu was extensive. I had the eggs and French toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the French toast was probably the best I have ever had! The French toast had sliced banana and blueberries. It was so good! My wife had the California scramble which she said was delicious! It came with toast and sliced avocado. Both selections were super delicious. We will definitely return to Cafe Vida! read more

This place is so fresh and so clean clean. They have great healthy options that are actually pretty tasty! I ordered for curbside pickup and it only took 10-15 min on a mid afternoon. I had their spicy chipotle chicken quesadilla with spinach and guacamole and pico de Gallo. It was made fresh and it came with a side order of baked sweet potato. Fresh, flavorful, AND healthy? Yes please! Cafe Vida has a little something to satisfy every craving--wholesome salads and wraps, breakfast (served all day btw), vegetarian options, fresh squeezed juices, smoothies, and even burgers! Oh, and did I mention they have tacos? They are only 145 calories each (with a corn tortilla), so I'll take 5 please! :) I love that they have calories and macros listed for their menu items, in case you are watching your waistline. But no matter what you are ordering at Cafe Vida, take comfort in knowing it will not only be good for you, but delicious. Cafe Vida had their grand opening last week on Valentines Day. I kept trying to create a Yelp page to share this wonderful little business, but Yelp kept deleting it for some reason. Frustrating... Anyway, the menu is extensive (and a little intimidating at first) but if you need some time to sift through it slowly, their detailed menu is posted (with photos) online on their website. The atmosphere inside is cozy and inviting--cute decor and a nice touch was the fresh orchids on every table. I appreciate little details like that. The dining room is not very big and there is additional seating on patio outside. I can see this place getting very busy, especially on Tuesday evenings when kids eat free between 4-9PM. The food is so fresh and the portions are large and very filling. I ordered the Vida Omelette with ham, fresh spinach, and mozzarella. I didn't remember that it was supposed to be served with avocado and pico until after I had eaten it, and was sad because avo and pico would have added that perfect creaminess and zing to an already delicious omelette. But I guess I'll have to try again next visit. I selected fresh fruit and a blueberry corn cake for my sides. The corn cake had an interesting texture, a slight crunch from the cornmeal granules. I loved the flavor and it was an awesome alternative to your typical bready pancakes. It was lightly sweetened with the fresh berries and only needed a drizzle of syrup. Pecan roast coffee is also served here. YAY! The brew is not very strong, but with unlimited refills you can have your fill until you reach that perfect level of caffeination. The Green Lemonade was also quite good and was pretty to look at, with a layer of lemonade and topped with a shot of fresh spinach juice. CV also serves fruit infused waters that seem to change daily--at least they did the two days we visited. The service was incredible. Our food was brought out quickly with a smile, and our coffee was refilled several times. One of the owners came by to check on us, introduced herself, and talked to us a little about their new location. She was so kind and hospitable, and brought out complimentary carrot cake for us to try. It was amazing!! It didn't have any frosting, but it was so moist and flavorful, we didn't miss the frosting at all. It was the perfect amount of sweet to finish out our meal and I've been craving it ever since. This is actually a perfect go-to spot for us after Taekwondo classes. Usually if we have busy evenings, we pick up something quick, but it isn't always the healthiest choice. I am so excited that Cafe Vida offers wholesome menu items and it is just a couple doors down. It's super convenient because we can place our order over the phone and just pick it up afterwards on our way home. The food is delicious and they have such a variety that we can order something different every time we go and never tire of eating here. This will definitely be a weekly (or more often) stop for us! read more
