Ordered a Dragonfruit Bowl & Kale & Apple Slaw. The Kale & Apple Slaw was bright, tangy, a little sweet & crunchy even though it was a side dish. I would order it again! Some pieces of Kale were getting brown so I threw them away. The Dragonfruit Bowl was pretty sweet as I think the base wasn't unsweetened? The combo of all the fruit made it even more sweet & I even omitted the honey drizzle. I ate it at home so I added unsweetened Kefir & more Granola. The portion size they give is smaller than other Acai Bowl places so I don't think it was worth $10.99. If they filled up the container as other places do, I'd consider buying it again. A day before, I ordered a large, Avocolada Green Smoothie but omitted the lime juice, coconut & no Turbinado Sugar. The clerk asked if I wanted more pineapple instead so I said "Sure!". He added some & it was definitely slushy & tart. I couldn't taste the creamy Avocado nor Spinach & Kale? It was refreshing, slushy & tart but when I got home I ended up adding Orange Juice. I've had the other Green Smoothie before which has more body & sweetness. This one was flat. I've had their breakfast wraps before & those are tasty. Mixed berry Greek yogurt bowl was much smaller than previous bowl I've ordered. The berries were fresh but it needed more yogurt! I ordered a bottle of Sprite online and when I went to pick up my order, I was asked to pick another drink ...they were out of Sprite. I didn't want another drink. I've been to several tropical smoothies and I have tried several of their menu items. This particular location was my 1st time visiting. I ordered an acai bowl (1st time) and it was actually pretty good. However, very small portion fyi, especially for the price :/ Ambiance was very welcoming, somewhat busy but service was prompt! I love the smoothies at tropical smoothie and order the same smoothie every time. Beach bum, white chocolate, sub Splenda. The drink tastes different every time from this location. Any other location, it tastes the same every time. The inconsistency is annoying. Most of the time my husband is ordering and bringing the drink to me so I cannot get it corrected. They do not know how to measure ingredients here. Many times I've ordered the island green smoothie and they just put random amounts of fruit & veggies in the blender, and it makes so much extra and they just throw it down the sink. Came for the grand opening and it was was worth the wait. Back home I would go very frequently and now I'm happy that this location has opened near to my house. It's a much better pick me up than going to a coffee place. I'm far from a health food person, but my smoothie was light and refreshing. It quenched my thirst and satisfied some hunger pains. Right now I'm like wtf because I ordered through Uber Eats & the driver only brought me 2 hard & cold chocolate chip cookies but not either of my 2 smoothies.
