Huevos Divorciados

Stopped in for brunch since I was in the area. The food style is authentic Tex-Mex and delicious. The food came out fresh and hot! We ordered a couple breakfast tacos, a breakfast plate and my son had a Barbacoa torta. The tortillas were homemade and delicious!!! Friendly staff. It's a hole in the wall but well maintained.

We used to come here on a regular basis when we lived right around the corner although my husband picked up tacos to go more often. Fast and Friendly. Homemade Tortillas! This visit I came in because I knew they had tamales and I had a craving so I decided to give them a try. Well the tamales were frozen so I decided to grab my usually Chilaquiles for a review while I wait for the tamales to steam. Even though the chips didn't look like much, they were perfect in flavor with an airy crispness. These were homemade! Two sauces of green and red with green being my favorite. The Chilaquiles with refried beans and sautéed potatoes with onions and peppers are a top contender for a repeat visit. Now for the tamales... Just ok... As much as I applaud them for making their own, it's not the perfect tamale that I am in search of... Thankfully the server packed up some green sauce for me which added a nice needed heat and I really appreciate her thoughtfulness.

Place is a modest dive in a worn down strip center, but: squeaky clean, excellent basic Tex-Mex, low prices and service with a smile. Overall a great breakfast.

This is one of those little places that isn't necessarily doing something you've never [tasted] before; it's just that they're doing it just right. The tortillas are just right. The hot sauce is just right. The limonada is.....just...right. You've got the classics, and done well. You've got a clean, friendly atmosphere, with no-nonsense staff. My only complaint is the parking is a little weird, jammed onto a pothole-filled hill, but that's not enough to talk me down from my 5 stars. I haven't eaten my way around the entire menu yet, but I feel confident suggesting this is a place Goldilocks would take the three bears when they come for a visit. ¡buen provecho!

I've only been here once so far, but I think I'm in love with the salsa verde, and I'm not a salsa verde kind of guy. The flower tortillas were perfect, IMHO: just the right thickness, chew and flower-laden exterior. Chorizo had all the right flavors, and wasn't greasy one bit. Refried beans were (surprisingly) fresh tasting. Papas had as many onions, tomatoes and peppers as they did actual potatoes, and complimented the beans (and eggs, and everything else) really well. $5 credit card minimum can be a challenge to meet ;)

Divorced eggs!?!? =p

After Several Times Eating the Menudo & REAL Tortillas Here I'm a Fan. Also My Picky Eater "i Only Eat Authentic Mexican Food" Boyfriend LOVES The Salsa From Here & Believe ME he's Hard to Please in the Hot sauce Department. They Also Have aguas Frescas Which Not to Many Mexican Food Places in this Area Do Try The Jamaica Tea Flavor its Delicious & VERY Refreshing On a HOT Summer Day!!! ^_^

That's exactly the energy at Los Weyes de la Asada. From the second you walk up, it feels alive. Not in a forced way, more like you've been there before, even if it's your first time. The kind of place where your stress, your diet, even your cruda takes a backseat. Now the food. No overthinking needed here. Everything coming out of that truck is a straight up pow pow of flavor. The carne is cooked just right, juicy with that perfect char, and the corn tortillas are legit, soft but with enough structure to hold everything together. I ordered the Mamón and the Chingón, and honestly, both lived up to the names. No misses. And the agua fresca de fresa? That sealed it. They serve it in a little bolsita, which somehow makes it hit even better. Simple, nostalgic, and just cool. It's all tucked inside El Camino, which adds to the whole vibe, string lights, people hanging out, that easygoing outdoor feel where you lose track of time a little.

We were right on the river walk, but walked through the entire restaurant on our way to be seated and every bit of it is as lovely as where we ended up sitting. The Riverwalk, however, is a people watching place and so there really isn't any place in this particular restaurant which is not gonna be pleasant. Secondly, the service is exceptional. This is a very busy place. However, the waiter was simply incredible. Very attentive, very informative quite humorous. He was frankly part of the river walk entertainment. Extremely accommodating and instructive as well. You can't hope for much more from a server in Restaurant than this activity. The food is really quite good. How are the drinks. Extremely dependable and the portions are generous and equally wonderful. There are many places to dine in San Antonio. However, this is an experience not to be missed and I mean that quite sincerely. Kudos for a very, very well run well situated and well managed enjoyable place to dine on the river walk in San Antonio.

The soup never arrived, but we didn't say anything because the prime rib with fries and veg looked like plenty of food for us. The prime rib was flavorful, and was a big portion which was expected for the $48 price tag. Veg was mid and I wasn't wowed by the seasoning on the shoestring fries. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the lime chess pie. In general, I adore chess pies but the lime flavor just didn't pair well with the custard filling.

The good, the bad and the ugly. If we run across a serious issue, I will always go directly to management and not post it. I truly believe you always must give management an opportunity to correct a serious issue. If not corrected and or just ignored, then I feel it is correct to inform the public - professionally. No establishment is perfect. I will bring to you smaller hiccups we may have come across. I will rarely comment on the taste of food - being bad, as that is a very personal thing. My wife and I disagree on taste of food and wine, no one is wrong or right. Now if the food is on fire, burned, under/overcooked to our requests, that would be mentioned. My favorite thing about our visit to SANCHOS was their hospitality. Sometimes things do not turn out as you think (the customers end). We had a scheduled event planned at SANCHOS, and some of the RSVPs didn't show up. Nothing changed at all from our server, he was simply amazing. Rearranged the tables to make it more suitable for us. And we received more one-on-one attention and interaction with him - he was amazing. Then the food and drinks. To say a solid happy hour menu for both drinks and food is an understatement. It is worth the Uber if you live downtown SATX! Had some amazing apps and drinks! The price point you can't beat! Live music every Thursday, SANCHOS has a real neighborhood feel to it, but has a downtown view. We will set up another Thirsty Thursdays event in the spring. PS on the happy hour bites - try the croquetas de Camaron - "take a cold shower good"! See you soon, just Cindi and I!

Both the red and green salsa are very nice and spicy. Everything tastes really fresh and I'm happy to come here when the weather isn't too bad and sit on the upstairs deck. I wish the view was better than the parking lot, but that's not Sancho's fault. My god, the bathrooms though. Please do something about the bathrooms. They could use some serious freshening up.

Just a heads up -- they do have a dress code, which honestly adds to the overall experience. The food was excellent. I ordered the chicken mushroom plate, and all the flavors were bold and well balanced. For drinks, I highly recommend the Jardin Eden. The fusion of lavender, blueberry, fruity liqueurs, and aromatic herbs made it one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. My only complaint was the service. We had a party of 10+ people with only one server assigned to us.
