Just tried this tapioca spot and it was 10/10. I ordered the mango passion fruit with regular bubbles and it was perfect. The flavor was super refreshing and the balance between the mango and passion fruit was amazing -- not too sweet, just really smooth and tropical. The boba had the perfect texture, soft and chewy just how it should be. You can tell everything was made really well and fresh. I liked Fruitealicious in Dallas so we were glad SA had a location. The menu is a bit different and is more catered towards mixed, sugary concoctions rather than just tea and coffee. Their coffee is usually good. Although my daughter loves lemonade, she didn't like it here. We've tried ordering it twice--both times she didn't like it. I usually get fruit teas or milk teas. It's a hit and miss with their milk teas (sometimes it just tastes like milk). Drinks are customizable: base (teas/coffee) + flavors (fruit or classic flavors: matcha, almond, taro, black sugar) + mixers (or toppers). They do have grass jelly and chia seeds. Drinks here are inconsistent. I feel that it's that way all over SA (regardless of how big/popular the chains are). They really do need to do better w/ training. When we attempt to customize anything the employees just look at us like a deer in the headlights. It's pretty amusing sometimes. Ames took care of us and was just amazing. The store started getting busy right after we arrived and she kept to calm and was very polite and cool with every person walking in the door. I really enjoyed coming here u til this last couple of times. The staff used to be so friendly and welcoming and when I came today I waited in the front for someone to come serve me for about 5 min. Finally when the girl came out she sighed and didn't say anything to me. I asked her if she was ready for my order and she again just looked at me silent with no facial expressions. What a great bobas place! We've been searching the ends of the earth ( inside 1604) for a great bobas place and wouldn't you know it this place is right by our house. Took the kiddos here twice already and they rave about all the plethora of bobas combinaciones. Well now let's forget about the kids for a second. Walking in, I had low expectations since I was used to normal boba shops like ShareTea or Gong Cha. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I realized it wasn't. I'm not from this town and was not aware of this shop whatsoever, but I was grateful when the staff excellently explained it to me and my family. The staff were super helpful and friendly, the place had a happy vibe to it, and the drinks were delicious. I ordered the Spotted Cow which is a creamy blend of sea salt caramel with flan pudding and caramel soaked tapioca. It had the consistency of a slushie, but was surprisingly good with the abundance of toppings they add. We tried other drinks like Cold Hot Chocolate and a customized drink, and they were also tasty.
