Simply put, CAVA is not a bad place. But it's also nothing special. This is yet another franchise trying to emulate the early success of Chipotle, but with a Mediterranean spin on it (and there are plenty of those kind of places nowadays). They have good food made with quality ingredients and refreshing beverages, but like other places similar to them they are overpriced and don't really do alot to stand out outside of limited time promotions like the bowl I got on this trip. The dining area was clean and the staff did a great job thankfully. My salmon with strawberry sesame dressing was delicious, but not sure that the overall experience was enough to warrant anything more than an occasional visit in the future.

At this point I'm not sure if this Cava is worth the trip. The restaurant is really large and accommodates lots of people in a long line, which is great because it seems to always be long. I guess the other patrons are like me and go wishing Cava has what they desire. I read several reviews on other platforms of patrons stating that either their food was mediocre or the restaurant was out of ingredients they ordered. Same as for me on this day. I specifically visited for the garlic chicken bowl, they were out of the garlic and the chicken. I chose substitute items but mentioned to the cashier that my meal was not what I came there for due to the substitutes. As I took out my wallet to pay, she informed me that I could have the bowl for free which was appreciated. Although it wasn't what I wanted to eat, it wasn't bad. The food was fresh, but the portions seems skimpy. If I visit again I will make sure that all of the ingredients that I desire are available before ordering.

Pleasantly surprised! Everything was sooo delicious! Loved that we can build our own bowls. I will definitely be back!

Tip: On busy nights/weekends, just walk in and go through the line. Only drive through or order ahead during off hours. This reminds me of when Starbucks went full custom drink order crazy, opened drive through, and order ahead all at once. It's the exact same logistics bottleneck at CAVA. You're waiting for at least 20 to 30 minutes after your expected pickup time in either the drive through or in-store pickup while the walk through line is moving smoothly. The issue is that the small station creates a large bottleneck serving both the drive through and order ahead pickup at once. On to the food. It's delicious! Great ingredients, flavor, and spice. I really enjoyed the spicy lamb and avocado bowl. I'd definitely come back...when it's not busy.

I stopped by Cava for a pickup order and overall, I had a really good experience! I ordered the "build your own bowl" so if anything doesn't hit the mark, it'll be my own fault. I'll admit, I'm normally a pretty plain eater and don't usually pile on sauces. For my bowl, I went with saffron rice, chicken shawarma, corn, broccoli, hummus, and feta dip. The portion of chicken was generous, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. My total came out to $13.78, which felt very reasonable for the quality and portion size. Next time, I'd definitely load up more on the hummus, it was good, but I don't think they gave me enough! My order was ready quickly for pickup, which was super convenient. Overall, it's nothing I'd write home about, but I did enjoy it and would definitely come back.

I was really really excited to see that there is a CAVA in Michigan now since it was one of my favorite "bowl" places in NYC for a reasonably priced, reasonably healthy, reasonably filling lunch. I went with my typical order today (greens + grains bowl with pretty much every single veggie topping and chicken) and it was around $14 on DoorDash although I'm sure the prices were likely inflated vs in-store. It was fine? Maybe I was blowing it up in my memory ahead of time but I was pretty underwhelmed. The bowl was a decent size but very light on the chicken and the chicken also wasn't as good as I've been used to with Cava before. Probably wouldn't order again but nice to have in the area.

At first, when seeing the poor reviews for this Cava, I was shocked. Being so excited there's finally one outside of the DMV, I expected the same level of awesome. Well, now I understand why this location is giving Cava a bad name. Things that need improvement: - cleanliness. Tables, floors were quite dirty, at about 5 pm on a weekday. No excuses, there was far too many staff members behind the counter, looking useless. - product availability. Half of the house made lemonades/drinks were completely empty, and several of the toppings for the bowls were also out. Again, this is 5 pm on a weekday, with no line, there was time to prep more veggies. - food. Chicken temp was cool, and bowl could have been more full. It's hard to break into the metro Detroit area with Mediterranean food - we are very spoiled with suburb cuisine in that department. If they make improvements, this Cava location can shine like the others I have frequented. I hope metro Detroiters give them a chance!

My first time visiting and the meal definitely hit after a morning workout. Hit my macros and everything was fresh and delicious! Shoutout to Darius and the crew this early afternoon.

Finally had the chance to try CAVA, only mistake I made was going during the opening week. The Line was huge and it took us an exact hour to get our food. Portions are huge and the food is delicious. Service was great and the crew was very friendly. Only disappointment was the pita chips had way too much salt on them. Loud but great place to enjoy a meal .

Finally, the first Cava in MI! It was absolutely packed, the staff worked hard to get the line moving. The interior was clean there's lots of seating and bathrooms available. There's pickup/order ahead options available. I did a Build Your Own Bowl, so good. The food and drinks are fantastic, I've always loved how fresh their falafel is. The flavor in CAVA food is unbeatable. Can't recommend enough!

Love this guys thank you. Best salmon i've ever had, my dad could never. Will be coming back

I don't know what bam bam sauce is, but it's tasty when mixed with BBQ sauce. There are eight ounces of mostly lean brisket topped with coleslaw, loads of sauce, all on a yummy brioche bun. It's pricey, but is as filling as an entree elsewhere. You'd think I'd have a photo of the sandwich by now since I've ordered it multiple times, but each time I've devoured it before remembering I didn't take a picture. I had a very short wait and was on my way home to enjoy it, but if you want to dine in, there's a mix of high and low top tables. The restaurant is very clean, and service is always super friendly. I ordered one of their signature items, the Barbecue Chicken Egg Rolls. The egg rolls were prepared as described, and the chicken filling was flavorful and well-cooked. While the quality was good, I was personally undecided about the combination of barbecue flavor on top of an egg roll. I also ordered a fountain soda, which unfortunately had an off taste. It seemed as though the fountain machine may have needed cleaning, as the flavor appeared mixed with other beverages. The restaurant was very quiet during my visit, with only one other customer dining while I was there. Seating consisted of standard flat-top and high top tables, and the service was professional and courteous. The dining area and restrooms were both clean and well-maintained. Overall, my experience was positive. Although I was not completely sold on the egg rolls, I would consider returning in the future when I am back in the area to try one of their sandwiches or bowls.

Though, they do have my favorite style French fry! And the smash burger was pretty good. I'd definitely visit more often if they expanded the menu with a few more options. Not sure I'll come too often with their current menu options.

The menu is also expansive with a ton of options from handhelds to entrees, and a ton of starters. We actually decided to split a few of those. We went with the nachos, truffle fries, chicken wings, and spinach dip. First off, the portions were HUGE and I LOVED the fries and spinach dip. The wings were a little underwhelming (tough, maybe a little over done?) and the nachos, though very well portioned, were a little lighter on toppings than we would have liked. But still pretty good! There are a TON of TVs here and different games were playing ( to a different baseball game so if you're into that sort thing you'll dig that (many were tuned to the Tiger's game). Also the covered patio is dog friendly which is nice if you're a dog person! But if you don't want to be around pups I recommend sticking to inside since there were more than a few out there when we visited. Service was a little pokey but pleasant and helpful when we were able to get them over to us. Overall pretty solid, though! I'd be up for getting back there to try some entrees next time and maybe bring our pups with us to enjoy a meal as well.

(If you're not an absolute dog lover, this probably isn't the place for you). The only thing I'd change is having more coffee creamer options. They only had half & half, and I personally prefer flavored or creamier creamers, so I probably wouldn't order coffee here. But that's definitely just a personal preference and didn't take away from the overall experience. I really enjoyed this place and would definitely recommend it!

Banging, yelling, and an open doorway into the kitchen. Off-putting, especially with better seating clearly open. The food keeps the rating up. I did not expect a wings place, but the smoked wings were my favorite, right amount of crispy with good smoke. The sauce list is long and I couldn't pick a favorite. The ranch tasted house-made and it was amazing. The chikin soho was the other standout. Honey ginger glaze, chili dijon slaw, and pickles that all work together. Misses: the brisket nachos needed fresh guac and actual brisket, since there was barely any. The 6 cheese mac was fine but not worth ordering again.
