Kids Pita with chicken, tomato/cucumber, Kalamata olives, and yogurt dill dressing + side of carrots with red pepper hummus and arugula

This CAVA usually has pretty good service and the ambiance is always very clean and nice. I typically order a salad and I like to switch up what I get in it, as all of the options are very tasty! This time I went with the kids meal and it's a really great deal for the amount of food you get. I wanted some greens and they let me choose a green instead of a grain for my side. The ingredients here are always very fresh and nothing is too heavy. It's a great place for a light, healthy meal!

I came back and got a grain bowl this time and for $11.15 it's such a great deal. I tried the strawberry citrus drink and it was amazing. While there I loaded up 3-4 times. This place is such a great spot to get a healthy and light meal. Wouldn't be surprised this is my new favorite place for a quick meal.

Great lunch spot walking distance from UF's campus. I created my own bowl & really enjoyed it. There were tables outside and it was lovely. The lunchtime staff were nice & helpful. As other reviews mentioned, it's similar to a chipotle in ordering/style - but with a fresh, Mediterranean twist! We went again for dinner, and the staff was not as helpful or welcoming, and the interior seating area was a mess. It wasn't busy when we walked in, but it could have just been a rough night. There is also no parking, which makes it tough to get to. I recommend either walking or trying your luck with the paid parallel spots near the AC hotel. Overall, I would return again for lunch if I am within walking distance or visiting campus!

I got the chicken bowl and the blueberry lavender drink and both was delicious! It does get busy and lines are long and be on the pricier side but worth it!

Fast, easy, healthy and good! Located right on Archer Rd in front of Butler Plaza it's the perfect place to stop for a quick meal while battling the UF move-in crowds at Target and Trader joes. The concept is fast, casual dining, where you can customize a bowl or a pita sandwich. Start by choosing a base, either greens, grains, pita or rice, then add a protein, grilled chicken, steak, falafel, or roasted vegetables. Then you can customize your meal with different toppings, hummus, tzatziki, harissa, feta, or a vegetable dip, next in line you choose toppings such as roasted corn, tomatoes, pickles, feta, cabbage and top everything with a Mediterranean style dressing. As you move through the line, everything is labeled so it's so easy.

This is my first time I tried cava and I'm so in love .... 3days down and may be an addiction atp. The staff is so nice and comical. Even with one person at one point working in front she was killing it

Solid place for healthy and tasty food. I was in town and decided to give this place a try. Service was quick and efficient. It's like the Mediterranean version of Chipotle. Love the laid back atmosphere and the plentiful indoor and outdoor seating. The food itself was tasty. Loved the variety of pickles, hummus, and various proteins and grains that you can add to your bowls. The only thing is that portion sizes are smaller than Chipotle and it is more expensive than Chipotle. However, if once in a while you want something different and healthy, keep this place as an option :)

I was excited to try Cava and stopped by last night after soccer. The restaurant was mostly empty but they seem to do a lot of business also in take-away orders and the staff were preparing those. The space is spartan but clean, modern, and inviting. The staff are friendly and good at explaining things as it's a make-your-own bowl kind of deal, though they have pre-designed options to select, as well. As to the food, I got the date chicken bowl and it was okay. The chicken tasted a bit dry though and some of the other flavors/ingredients also a bit off or odd. But it was ok overall, just lacking all little maybe in freshness--which happens when things sit out a bit waiting to be put into someone's supper. The real winners though are the house-made lemonades: crisp, tasty, and refreshing. They have done a stellar job there. Would I go back? If in the area or friends wanted to go. It's not the level of care and tastiness as in example Gyro Plus (which is more authentic as well) but will do and is overall pretty healthy which I wholeheartedly endorse.

Great place for a quick lunch. I had a Greek salad and asked them to sprinkle some lintels and add a scoop of eggplant dip. Really didn't need a dressing with this but I really like the tahini dressing. My husband has the harissa chicken salad. That was great too. The chicken has just a kick of spice at the end. Don't miss out on getting the specialty drinks. The cucumber mint is yummy and the blueberry is very refreshing.

    My build your own bowl

So I love healthy fast food and especially Mediterranean style food. I had heard of Cava from friends and other Yelpers on how great the food is. Let me tell you the recommendations were not wrong! When walking in, it's set up like a typical cafeteria line service like Chipotle. They have an extensive selection and alot of different combinations to pick from. From pitas to grain bowls to salad bowls - there's something for everyone. I picked the build your own bowl option. My bowl consisted of my base of supergreens and arugula. My dips were tzatziki, roasted eggplant, and crazy feta. I went with a protein of grilled chicken, and chose an array of toppings. To finish it off, I chose the Greek vinaigrette dressing on the side. The ingredients are super fresh - which I love - the salad wasn't browning or wilted. I love that you are able to add such a variety of toppings and dips because it gives you a chance to try out different veggies. The only downside I had at Cava was the service. Some of the staff members were very slow and the wait time to order did take some time. Also, it seems like the team members are newer or maybe not as educated on what goes into their meals. I overheard someone asking if one of the dressings were vegan and the cashier and team member didn't know. Fortunately, the shift manager was able to pull out a booklet to inform the guest of the dressing ingredients. However, this delicious and affordable spot made a great impression on my taste buds -- I will be back soon!

Still a fairly good priced option for a healthier bowl in Gainesville. Bowls always seem to run around $12-$15, and this is no exception. Chipotle style service and I had a much quicker turnaround time on my second visit. I still recommend giving it a try, I have friends who are addicted and get it once a week, and some who don't care too much for it

Sounds pricey but my wife and I spit it and still had some leftovers. Also, this might seem a bit off topic but this place has some of the best fries. Great seasoning. I hate to leave bad reviews, but I think want to be honest. I came to The Spot recently for lunch…read moreand was not happy with my experience. Located in midtown, this appears to a fast casual place that caters towards college students. They serve "Greek" street food, salads, quesadillas, burgers, and more. The food is relatively inexpensive. Service is fine, actually the people working there are friendly. Food is made to order and comes out quickly. There is some seating available inside (it's limited) but there are plenty of tables in the hall. I ordered the Street Chicken Souvlaki which included grilled chicken with tomato, onion, fries inside a pita, topped with ketchup and mustard. This was a very large portion. The pita was good, but pretty much fell apart the second I picked it up. While I liked the chicken, it was over seasoned and I didn't care for the "sauced" quality of it. I'm not sure if they marinated it or tossed it in some sauce, but it was too much. The fries were decent, but not super crispy. I felt that they were not necessarily and a little over-the-top. The tomato was fresh and but the red onion slices were very thick. The mustard and ketchup didn't work with the seasonings on the chicken. The dish was just all over the place and I couldn't even finish half of it before I started feeling sick. I ordered a side of onion rings as well. This was a large order and the size was great. But these onion rings were over-battered and were fresh, but not crispy at all. I bit into one and ended up pulling out the whole onion rings. Not good. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience. The food was so heavy and overly salted I couldn't even eat half of it. I ended up giving it to a homeless person on the way out. The food left my stomach in shambles the rest of the day. Service is fine. But the food is not desirable. It is safe to say I will not be returning, which is unfortunate.

The sweet potato soup had a puréed, baby‑food texture, but the flavor itself was surprisingly rich and comforting. The star for me was the Tunisian casse‑croûte. The flavors were incredible; the albacore was tender and seasoned just right, the salata mechouia added this smoky, roasted pepper depth, and the pickled egg brought the perfect tangy brightness. The arugula gave it a fresh, peppery lift, and the harissa aioli tied everything together with a warm, subtle heat. The fries on top added the best crunchy contrast. Every bite was layered, bold, and so satisfying.

I was reminiscing about a sandwich I got and decided to order some lunch from here . I ordered a California turkey croissant but subbed for gluten free Kaiser roll. I also ordered the Greek salad. The prices and portions can't be beat. I got it for delivery from DoorDash and the ingredients and bread were so fresh. I was a little hesitant because when I order sandwiches or wraps from other places for delivery they arrive soggy but I was pleasantly surprised because everything was intact. I'm picky with deli meat since I just can't stand some after taste of certain deli meats but I don't know how to explain it the turkey and cheese tasted "clean" . Our appetizer and drink orders taken, we set to decide whether to try the Greek offerings or the Italian! Both looked delicious and the reviews I read previously really set my mouth watering for pizza AND the souvlaki! Unfortunately, my husband got his good old standby, Chicken Parmesan. We both tried different medium pizzas and we ordered Calamari Fritta (but asked for the peppers to not be included) as our appetizer. Have you ever had super fresh REAL calamari? Sliced fresh and hand breaded and then served to you? I had one other time in Tarpon Springs, and this was just as incredibly dished up for us! Marinara sauce and a spicy sweet sauce like a Mae Ploy was also served with them and two nice lemon slices. Stupendous! Our drinks? Perfectly done-- considering our excellent waiter, AJ, didn't know what an Arnold Palmer even was! What a surprising, talented young man! My souvlaki! Absolutely to die for! Wowza! The side I got was the garlic broccolini and YUMMMMM! My husband's chicken parm was so good that he devoured it BEFORE I could even snap a picture! LOL Our pizzas were some of the best we've ever had. The crust is so delicious and they sure don't hold back on the toppings. I consumed half of mine without even realizing it. Wow. I got the Lil' Sicily that has pepperoni, sausage, ricotta, basil and oregano. The hubby chose the Scoula pie that has pepperoni, Italian sausage, ground beef, mushrooms, onions and green peppers. Both were out of this WORLD! Needless to say, I think we just found our newest favorite spot for dinner.
