InFirst time here. The food was good. I would eat here again. However, the tables were not clean at all. My wife and my daughter-in-law had to clean the tables before we could sit down. As we ate our food, I noticed that no one was cleaning tables. Customers were having clean the tables. When I asked about cleaning the tables, one of the employees came over, and she asked which table we were going to sit at. I explained again that we had already eaten. I then pointed out all the dirty tables. She said there was no designated employee to clean tables. She then returned to her station behind the counter. From her demeanor, I got the impression I wasted her time. This is the first restaurant I have been in such poor service towards cleanliness and sanitary care for their customers. read more

CAVA is supposed to pride themselves on the quality of food, but would give a rotten avocado when a customer is getting togo food. The avocado that you pay 2.50 for is maybe a fourth of an avocado and it literally brown and black w/ a few green spots. I have a picture that I can supply. Want to love it, but... have been 7 times now and two of them they've screwed up my order, twice they ran out of lentils, and three times the lentils have been so severely undercooked that they were inedible, basically ruining the entire bowl with little crunchy rocks. I've never eaten in store, so I have been unable to return to fix the issues. Love the flavors, but can't do it again. read more

My daughter has a severe nut allergy that we address at every restaurant. Here they were completely put out by my questions about ingredients and whether their pita was made in a nut facility. This day and age it's rare to find a place that doesn't know their sources. I wish they had kept it a Zoe's Kitchen. Their menu was more diverse, tastier, and fresher. Okay so the low ratings on here are from when they first opened they had a hard time with staffing which seems to be common everywhere and well I work next door and they were getting SWAMPED with people but, they've made a huge turn around! I love, love LOVE Cava and was so excited for a Franklin location FINALLY! This one needs some help though. As others mention they are very slow and out of everything often. Today we ordered and found out mid line they were out of key ingredients and sauces. They are consistently always out of ice and utensils. The guy working saw the look on my face and rudely barked "we are understaffed!". Sir, I get it, I was not gonna yell at you I promise. I actually felt bad for him thinking others have. Incredible food and amazing customer service at this location. They were very generous with the toppings and the staff was very friendly. We honestly forgot to get a drink for our daughter right after paying for our order and instead of ringing up the drink as a separate order the manager just walked over and gave us two drinks. We had our second visit here today (most likely our last) for lunch. Our first visit was soon after they opened this location. There were some issues with that visit too, but we chalked it up to the management and staff working the kinks out. Fast forward to today, we placed our order online hoping that we could avoid a long line and ensure our order was accurate. We were sadly mistaken. Not only was the order not ready, it took another 45 minutes for it to be prepared after it was supposed to be ready. In addition to that, they had ran out of falafel for my wife, no ice, and was only able to fill 2 of the 3 drinks we ordered. Now, while we were there, there were two other people waiting for their order. They ended up canceling while in line. When we got home, not only had the restaurant failed to give them their orders, but they ended up putting them in our order. When we opened our order, just about everything was missing something (I.e., the half chicken/half meatball pita only had chicken). I really hope this location can fix these issues. This is the fourth time I have visited this location and as usual the line to order is backed up to the door. Fine, it's lunch time, but waiting 20-25 mins to get served your food is very off putting to the point of almost walking out the door and heading for Panda Express next door. For God's sake add a couple of servers during the busiest times! One guy covering the basic and another adding the various sides just doesn't cut it. i usually order online & pick up because i don't have much time on my lunch break to wait, and it's usually always busy during the lunch hour. the last couple times i've ordered online, my bowl is maybe half full with little lettuce (i order a greek salad). the bowl i got today was probably a quarter full and had maybe SIX pieces of lettuce. i usually don't mind, but paying $14 for a bowl that doesn't even fill you up is a little ridiculous. read more

I'm so sad seeing all of these terrible reviews on here! Yes, they had a disgrace of an opening. Out of food, orders taking forever, etc. Butttt once they finally got the hang of it you can see that Cava is one of the best restaurants around for a healthy lunch/dinner. They can accommodate a lot of allergens- GF and DF- just ask which of the sauces/dressings don't have dairy. It's yummy, heathy, quick and such a NEEDED addition to the Franklin area. read more

It's been a long time since I've been treated this poorly at a restaurant. The whole staff was rude and acting as if I was an inconvenience for being there. Every question I asked was met with and attitude and the cashier messed up and put the persons order behind me on my tab. When I pointed it out he started arguing with me even though I told him there were three meals on mine and he added four. The girls that helped him out was the only kind one in the building. When this place is "on" the food is great. I eat here all the time and keep coming back--I'm super picky. It can get very busy (esp at lunch) but the staff does a great job at keeping the line moving. If I was on a tight lunch break I would have it delivered/order ahead or you won't have much time left. On some days the line wraps the inside of the store (think chipotle on a busy day). My favorite thing to eat here right now is the falafel bowl with lentils and brown rice. I really enjoy all the different toppings they offer and oh boy do I love the skhug (sauce)! Peppers, cilantro, and spices... I don't know their recipe. There are lots of creative toppings and options to choose from. It's fun. They also close kinda early and still seem to be working out some kinks from their opening. Give this place a chance, they really are trying hard and the staff is doing a good job. If you like this type of food in a chain type environment you won't be disappointed. Cava has quickly one of my favorite raturants in Franklin. Healthy options are quite limited in this area. My Cava lunch is always colorful, flavorful, made with fresh ingredients and the staff is awesome. Lines are long during the noon hour and they also must juggle phone orders. Expect to wait noon-1 pm, but it's OH SO worth the wait! The Avocado Lentil with Falafel Bowl is my favorite . Think of Cava as a healthier Chipotle but for mediterranean Cuisine. You can order off menu or build your own while they make your bowl tailored to your request. My friends like the Greek Bowl, which I have yet to try. I haven't tried anything other than my usual. I like this place but do not go very often. I give it 3 stars because it's so expensive. I usually get a pita and they charge me extra for rice which is weird. Since when did rice become an expensive commodity? And they do not have Coke or Pepsi products which is a big negative in my book. read more

While I normally love CAVA, I have to give a three star review because they have messed up my order the last two times I have been. I have ordered just one bowl for myself both times, and in my bowls I was missing an item I had ordered.
