The food is great. The people working at this location are truly some of the rudest people I have ever met. I've lived in NYC and Brooklyn. People can be rude in customer service there. CAVA Franklin takes the cake. Not only are they rude, but spiteful. We don't have Cava in MI so when I saw one near my hotel I decided to give them a try. I ordered the chicken and rice bowl which has chicken, arugula, rice , hummus, taziki, tomatoes, and greek vinaigrette. Service was fast and friendly and reminds me of a Mediterranean version of chipotle. I took my food back to my room and was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful every layer was. read more

I have been a fan of Cava since 2018 living in NYC. I have been all over the united states and my one tried and true go to place for delicious food is Cava. I just wish there was one closer to where I live now in Columbia TN. However, it was my birthday on 3/12 and I had errands in Franklin. I had gotten a gift card over a yr ago and still had money on it. So I stopped at this location. Cava's app has recently changed and non of the staff or myself could figure out how to USE my remaining money on card. There was a guy behind me so I said, no worries I will just pay and the Mgr came over typed something in the register and gifted me my meal. That was incredible unexpected and kind. I asked her once more before I left if she knew how to get the money off and she didn't but I just wanted to say thank you. You made my day and didn't even know it was my bday! I still need to know HOW to use the remaining money if Cava can reach out but "Shay" and the rest of the staff were awesome and food is always consistently delicious no matter where I am at. Worst CAVA location ever! Went in 12/29/25 during the early evening shift. Ordered a bowl & the 1st station server didn't ask if I wanted Pita bread. In fact he never asked any of the customers after me either. Tongs were not used to serve the salad - rather just gloved hands. (Which is not CAVA's standard health protocol.) The bowl was sitting on the counter awhile getting cold - the 2nd station server finally slopped the food into the bowl including mashing the avocado (supposed to be sliced) & then squirted the red sauce all over the place including onto the cashier. (That part was actually amusing!) At this point I asked for some Pita bread - which was repeated back to me, but never retrieved. The majority Middle Eastern staff may have English as their 2nd language, but that's not an excuse to treat the customers as sloppy as the food service. The counter & tables are not clean either. Truly a bad experience tonight. Employees were rude, demanding and rushing me and my mother through every step of building our bowls- meanwhile, there was no one else in the store. I understand wanting to provide quick service, but at the sacrifice of your customers is unnecessary. They also spilled half of my bowl due to said rushing, then failed to replenish what was lost from their mistake. I hope this was just an off night for the team because I loved this location, but after tonight I'm not sure I will be back. read more

I'm pleasantly surprised by this place. Thought it was another hippie salad place but it was better than I thought. The falafel was really good. My biggest gripe was the size of the hummus and feta scoops. So small as to disappear into the salad. The strawberry citrus drink was great. read more

I wish I could say I enjoyed our meal there. I understand that you want to have a clean outward appearance but washing windows during dinner rush is insane. The floors were drenched in soapy water, stepping over cleaning supplies and dodging the young man cleaning windows was a bit much. If the interior was clean and welcoming, I believe they would have balanced each other out. But we couldn't find a clean table for us to sit. The floors were trashy and even the bathroom was a mess. I saw several couples with small children walk in and walk out without ordering. The only saving grace was the food. It was fresh and tasty. read more

I've always loved this restaurant, but my experience tonight (3/12/2025 @ 9:20 p.m.) was deeply disappointing. My friends and I came in to order our usual bowls, but the service was unacceptable. The staff seemed visibly frustrated and irritated by our presence, making the ordering process uncomfortable. At one point, an employee even walked away mid-order, leaving us waiting for someone else to assist us. I rarely leave complaints, but this experience was truly disappointing. As the only Cava in the area, I had higher expectations--especially since I've never had issues at the Green Hills location. Something needs to change because no customer should feel unwelcome simply for coming in during business hours. read more

The fact that this place only has 3 stars makes me want to go and fight someone. This place is absolutely phenomenal!!! It is like a chipotle for Mediterranean food. My top bowl is the hot harissa chicken bowl! It is the perfect amount of spicy! The fried pita is so good and filling. The food was fresh, delicious, made right in front of us so quickly, the people were nice, the place was clean and minimalistic in decor, it was small but didn't feel cramped, and the price was fair for the portions (large). The build your own experience could be challenging when you don't know what some of the items are, but thankfully on all of my recent trips, the staff has been patient and helped me make fantastic bowls. My toddler always asks to go to Cava when he sees it, because the staff helped him choose what to put in his kids' pita plate and also because what toddler doesn't like pita? I like the unique flavors and freshness of ingredients. Everything tastes fresh and feels relatively light, as in won't weigh you down with grease or excessive salt. I love to get basmati rice and black lentils as a base, add several sauces of which at least one is harissa, falafel, and most if not all of the toppings. The prices are reasonable, and the parking is plentiful. Cava is in my rotation, and probably should be for you too. read more

He looked and acted like he hates his job. so incredibly rude. no effort into putting on a smile. I can't imagine how this place has such low rating, because I love it! I ate Cava last month on vacation in DC and didn't realize it was here in TN. It was as dreamy as I remembered. I did a bowl with a mix of lettuce plus some if the veggie rice and lentils. The greek chicken was tender and flavorful. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the toppings or dressings. Cava is my favorite fast casual restaurant! Thanks to my daughter's and her friend's recommendation, I've been a regular for a few months. My favorite is their build-your-own rice bowl, and I love the Harissa Honey Chicken. It's the perfect spice level, and I usually add fiery broccoli, roasted corn, and the tomato-cucumber mix. I also love the drinks they offer, like the Strawberry Citrus Lemonade. We usually order online, and it's always prepared perfectly and ready when we arrive. I never criticize a restaurant for its price point when that price is reflective of high-quality, fresh ingredients. Similarly, I view running out of an item as an indication that the restaurant prioritizes freshness; which is the dividing line between mediocrity and excellence. I wholeheartedly encourage Cava to keep up the great work. read more

My favorite fast food is finally in Franklin! The build-your-own (Chipotle-style) Mediterranean bowl is fresh, healthy, & delicious! That said, there are some growing pains at this new location. They're understaffed; we came in at 1:30pm on a Sunday & the line stretched around the whole restaurant & took around half an hour. Well worth the wait in my opinion though. Hopefully they can hire more folks soon. Overall highly recommend! read more

Ordered 2 of the steak and feta wraps. They both had so much sauce it soaked through the wrappers and left a pool of sauce in the bottom of the bag. Both were uneditable due to the fact, the sauce consumed everything and the balsamic was all that you could taste. It was pretty much soup in a wrap. I called to let them know they overdid it with the sauce and the person that answered the phone gave the impression that nothing would be done about it. What a waste of money. read more

Side order of the feta dip was oily and maybe 1/4 full. Chicken was chewy and pieces were crumbly in size. Lettuce was past its prime date. Quality does not match the price. Everything is an issue, they don't want to give you what you pay for, you are an inconvenience, they move like they are on drugs-- so slow, and just cannot do the most simple things with a willing attitude. This place would be great but the staff is terrible and it is horribly dirty. With an establishment like this you need someone on-duty to clean/spray/wipe the tables after every customer. Also you need someone solely on the register--the guy touching your credit card should not be scooping your avocado. The current staff couldn't be more uneducated about the food they're serving and it shows. If this was my restaurant I would close for a week, deep clean every inch of it (maybe even WIPE THE WINDOWS ANS WINDOWSILLS), and fire the staff and start over. Seriously, I'd eat here once a week but I was so grossed out by the funk everywhere I feel like I got food poisoning the second I walked through the door. Cava has great food but the rude, unprofessional staff makes the experience unpleasant. The guy taking the orders is in such a rush that it is impossible to tell him what you want or add anything that isn't standard. It doesn't matter that the orders are stacking up and he may as well slow down, he wants your order immediately with no questions. We joke that we hope they won't be throwing rice at each other this time because of a past experience where there was obvious tension (and rice throwing) between the guys behind the counter. The halved avocados were being replenished and over half of them were rotten but they were just dumping them into the container. The cutlery wasn't stocked and the drink machine was out of service. Tables are not wiped between guests. The air conditioner was blowing directly on our table to such a degree that the napkins were blowing around in November. I really wish they would hire pleasant people who care about customer satisfaction because the concept is great. We eat here rarely as it is but after reading the other reviews and seeing that our experience is normal we won't be back until it's under new ownership. read more

So you think you're eating healthy low carb and clean... and you are. And then you're eating seed oils which is less healthy than a stick of bacon grease. Once again, disappointed. If you walk into this location within the last two hours before closing, you will feel unwelcome. First of all, they will already have half of the items in the bar put away in the back. Second, they will be mopping with the chairs on the tables. These are both two things that I am willing to look past, if it wasn't for the overwhelmingly rude service. Extra small portions, extra charges and an overall, terrible experience. The closing crew at the Franklin cava will make you feel as if you are doing something wrong by being there within 60 min of close. The staff put away the lemonades a couple hours before closing and were also taking out the trash. I was disappointed since I paid for a drink specifically for the lemonade.
