First time at this place and I had a great experience. As soon as I told Erika it was my first time and I wasn't sure what to get she was super cool and nice enough to explain everything. When I asked her for suggestions she was happy to give me her favorites and the most popular options. Make yourself a bowl you can go with a salad of which there are 4 options or you can go with a grain of which there are 3 options. In my case I did a mix of salad and grain, winner. It comes with a peta so score ! Then you chose 3 out of 6 dips. Hummus, Greek yorgut and a spicy one which according to Erika is not that spicy, it has a kick to it. Then you pick your protein. There are 8 options. I doubled down on the meatballs and the lamb meatballs. Good choice if I may say so myself! Then you add all the toppings you want, brag yourself a drink and enjoy! I used to never like mediterranean food in any form or fashion, but Cava turned me into a fan. However, I think this location needs some quality control. The chicken is often burnt, and the rice 9/10 times is undercooked - like solid, crunchy undercooked. LOVE Cava! It's the Chipotle of Mediterranean/Greek food and it's ohhhh so good! I love getting the bowls with super greens and splitting the "meats" two ways between chicken and falafel (the falafel is seriously delicious). Also, "crazy feta"?! Amazing. We enjoy eating here for lunch. We have celiacs and they are always safe with our food. They have no problem changing there gloves and going down the whole line with is. The Menu is on the wall which lets you know what has gluten, dairy, and other things people might not be able or just don't want to eat. The staff is friendly and never makes me feel uncomfortable about asking them to prepare my meal with attention not to cross contaminate, even when there busy. I love this place, and so do my young children. If my son (2y) is ever not feeling well and won't eat well, we find if we get him a bowl of Cava he will eat it up every time. read more

Cava at any location is delicious. However, Mosaic and Tysons location can be really crowded because they are in the shopping areas. And it's hard to find seats at Mosaic Cava. But if you avoid the peak meal time, then you will get to sit by the window and look at the park area while you eat. read more

This is probably one of our favorite Cava locations. We live near the Fairfax City location, and don't mind driving to the Mosaic one. We usually get the split rice/salad bowl with falafel. The ingredients are usually fresh and they are generous with the portions. The falafel is usually fried well, except for the last visit, when it tasted a bit old. I've also had the falafel wrap. The wrap size could be a bit bigger, but that may also be my Americanized food portion mentality. CAVA has been a fan favorite since the first day I walked into this location. Great food (chipotle-style mediterranean bowls) that's locally sourced. I love their dedication to always sourcing from local markets. The lines are always quick moving. Their seating is really cute, with an outdoor area, which is nice. Their online ordering can sometimes be slower than the time that they guarantee. But it's never more than 5 minutes late. I come to this location all the time since my job is right down the street. But this morning at 11 am the staff were just plain rude. The lady doing the rice barely gave me any so I had to ask for extra just to get the normal amount. The man doing the toppings was just not listening, I had to keep repeating myself. He also had a scowl on his face like he didn't want to be there. Also the cashier got annoyed when I asked for some extra dressing. There wasn't anyone behind me so it wasn't like they were in the middle of a rush or something. I am just disappointed because this really affected how I viewed this location. I've always been a big Cava fan and figured it was about time to post a review. One of my favorite "fast food" restaurants where I can fill up and eat a quick healthier meal. You can pack so much flavor into your bowl- chipotle doesn't touch the amount of options Cava provides. I'd suggest doing half meat and half meatballs. Ask for a couple of their sauces to go- they're great for salad dressings later on if you don't finish them. Definitely stop by a Cava grill if you're ever nearby one. read more

First off, I will say that, while I really like Cava, it's still not my favorite of the Mediterranean fast casual (Mezeh, in Gaithersburg, holds that title). That aside, this location has always been good, and worth 4 stars. The 5th star is for an experience I had a few nights ago that displayed their exceptional customer service. I went in an hour before closing and ordered, as usual, except they ran out of roasted vegetables. They offered an alternative, as well as the option of waiting. I kind of wanted the vegetables, so I told them I'd wait. I wasn't in a particular hurry, and went on my phone to check messages, pass time, etc., and hadn't the faintest idea for how long I did that. All I remember was that, when my food was ready, they didn't accept my money. I had a short standoff, where I refused to accept it without paying because it wasn't a big deal, but they didn't budge because they said they made me wait longer than they initially told me to wait. I accepted their gesture of hospitality, and happily ate my food at home. This is the level of service that I get only at Mezeh, and it left enough of an impression to compel me to write a review. I'd gladly drive 10 minutes to eat at this location instead of crossing the street to go to the Cava closest to my job. read more

I love Cava in general, but I did not enjoy the last two times that I got food at the Mosaic location. The staff seem new and don't provide much customer service; for example, they look impatient to get to the next order and will even interrupt the tail end of your order. Also, the girl who put the sauce on my bowl didn't shake the bottle and squeezed a pint of water into my bowl. Everything was soggy and the ingredients lost their distinct flavors and became a weird soup. The girl then asked if I wanted a bag and then promptly forgot what I said and asked me the exact same question. I was annoyed and knew that my Cava bowl would not be delicious. You simply choose a base (Salad, Rice, Pita, etc.), then a protein (Falafel or animal meat), then toppings (too numerous to mention but including Mint, hummus, cabbage, cucumber, tzaitki, feta, kalamata olives, tomatoes, onion, tahini, harissa, etc etc. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient and prices are quite fair considering the good quality of the product and the high-brow area in which it is located. Vegetarians and vegans, let's rejoice! Cava Mezze is a veg heaven with many vegan options with great flavor. Yes, I contacted the company about the falafel and no, it does not contain the fertilized ovum of a female chicken (or an 'Egg' for you carnivores). Vegan options here go beyond the meat itself actually - the trash cans are San Francisco-style and separated into various recyclable wastes, composts, plastics, etc. This restaurant is truly green/vegan/progressive and therefore worthy of respect in that department. Ate here today for lunch, and thought the food was alright. As others have stated, it's like Chipotle with a a Med. twist. I had the Grilled Meatball bowl with Hummus and Tzikizi(sp?) Sauce, Pita Crisps, Pickled Onions(Yum), Feta, Cabbage Slaw. The food was good, but now I am starting to get hungry again because at first it was filling, but not by much. A few years, I ate at Cava Mezze in Clarendon, which is more Greek tapas-style, and didn't particularly care for it. So when Cava Mezze Grill opened in Mosaic, I didn't think much of it. Last night, prior to watching Jurassic World, I went here for a quick dinner. Cava Mezze Grill is basically a Mediterranean-style Chipotle, similar to how ShopHouse is an Asian-style Chipotle. But I'm okay with that. Why reinvent the wheel? Bring on Chipotle Mediterranean-style! You start with a base - salad, rice bowl, greens + grains, pita, mini pitas, or minis + soup. I opted for a rice bowl with saffron basmati rice. Then, you choose your dips and spreads. There are six to choose from: eggplant and red pepper, hummus, tzatziki, harissa, crazy feta, and roasted red pepper hummus. I chose hummus and harissa, which a spicy dip made from tomatoes and red peppers. Next, pick your protein! Falafel, grilled chicken, spicy lamb meatballs, grilled meatballs, braised beef, and braised lamb. I chose chicken. Lamb is apparently an extra $2. Afterwards, you pick your toppings, like romaine, tomato + onion, pickled onions, kalamata olives, cabbage slaw, quinoa, cucumbers, pita crisps, mint, or feta. I opted for healthier options like tomato + onion, olives, romaine, cucumbers, and quinoa. Finally, you pick your dressing, although I decided against slathering on additional dressing. First bite and I was hooked. It reminded me of the first time I tried Chipotle and immediately fell in love. Fast, convenient, fairly healthy, and affordable. read more

I didn't expect Cava Mezze to have that "Chipotle" style going on. I expected a full service restaurant but, I guess they had to cater to their audience. Falls Church was definitely lacking in lunch options but thanks to places like Cava Mezze and Red Apron Butcher, Not anymore! I did enjoy my meal at Cava Mezze and I left nicely satisfied. Cava Mezze Grill is the mediterranean version of Chipotle; therefore, making it better! Yes, the portion is a bit smaller than other similar style restaurants, but it's filling enough for me! I just sometimes get greedy and want more when I know I really shouldn't.
