Salad lovers listen up!! This place is delicious and fresh This was my first time here and I was extremely satisfied with the customer service and the meal! I got a build your own bowl and it had to have been one of the best salads I've had in a while. The store was clean and very spacious. The atmosphere was similar to a Chipotle where you wait in line and then sit where you want. I will definitely be back!! i love cava's food but unfortunately, i won't be going back to this location because of the rude employees who mumble when they speak to you so you don't know if they heard you when you ask for something. they are stingy with the toppings (i know because i used to work at a cava). the whole process feels very rushed & they're not providing a good customer experience and i went at like 4:15pm on a Saturday and the place was empty so there is no excuse for them to be as dismissive as they were. read more

I've been hearing people gush about Cava for a while, but having just tried it, I'm really disappointed. The pictures of what I ordered showed a bowl brimming with greens, but what I got was a soggy, third-full bowl of pickled toppings. Maybe it was the fact that the guy making our meals seemed to have no idea of what he was doing but it was hardly edible and in short, gross. My partner felt the same way. And my daughter too. The only thing we could agree that we liked was the small pitas. I love the fact that they have interesting flavors and that it targets to be healthy. I've frequented many places with similarly health-themed fare, but this was just plain bad. To make things worse the receptacles labeled "recycling" show graphics of plates and other items that are clearly not recyclable. The lids are number 7 which are, by definition, not recyclable. And the plates of soggy paper cannot be recycled either. As a company, they're just polluting the already fragile and failing recycling stream. We may try this place one more time since it's so close to our home but right now I'm not excited about going back. read more

I've been coming to this cava for months now and it has been one of my favorite dinner spots since moving to the area. Tonight's experience though, completely made my night!! They were super slammed with online orders but still made sure to check in with me as soon as I walked in. I maybe waited 30 seconds to a minute while they finished up an order(not a problem at all obviously) and then ja'lissa promptly helped me build my bowl. She was so awesome and nice and I really appreciated her and the whole staff. Of course the food is delicious but overall I left happier than I was when I walked in. I've been to many cava locations throughout Boulder and Denver, and 9+co is hands down the best!! read more

Cava was delicious! Sherrie was very friendly to me and mother. She provided some samples of the braised lamb which was what I ended up getting. Prices were bit high but after eating my meal - I could easily share with my mom and save money. Was bit cold in lobby but enjoyed the music. read more

Portions are super lame. I used to like Cava a lot- the ingredients are unique and seem to be good quality, but i've given it a chance 3 times in the last 2 months and am just super disappointed. I've ordered twice online which were TINY portions and once in person because I suspected the portions might be better in person. I've attached the pic of my most recent bowl before I started eating. So I have two favorite spots when I want fast casual but want something relatively healthy and CAVA is one of them!! The Chicken Avocado Harissa Bowl is so delicious. All the best things in there: avocado, chicken, a nice spicy harissa sauce and many other things. My only problem is that it's just so dang good that I can't stop eating it. One of these days I need to do the right thing and try that lentil bowl but it's so hard not to choose that Harissa one. This was my first time at CAVA and it probably won't be my last. I really like the different options and overall the quite healthy selections. I ordered online for curbside pickup and there was a little bit of a confusion--sounds like someone took my order my mistake. However, they quickly prepared me another order. The grilled chicken is excellent and the tahini ceasar is a great spin on the traditional. The red pepper hummus is so so good! read more

I had an awesome grains and greens bowl here today! It's a build your own bowl style joint and all the ingredients I chose were fresh and flavorful and so delicious that I barely drew a breath while I ate. It was a kind of confusing ordering process and I could have used some guidance from the staff - how many greens and grains and toppings I could have without additional charge - but they seemed.. uninterested in that sort of thing. But I'm still giving them 5 stars because it's fast dining and the food was top notch. I'll be back! read more

Fast casual mediterranean chain where you can pick what items you want similar to Chipotle. I got a bowl with a side pita. Pros - lots of food for ten bucks, again similar to Chipotle. (My bowl weighed 1.5lbs with the cover on.) The dips were all fine, as was the grilled chicken. They have a lot of free topping options. If you added them all you could probably get to 2lbs of food. The falafel wasn't crunchy. I got a garlic dressing as well as a green sauce called skhug, the latter of which needed more spice and maybe some more lemon juice. (If the falafel isn't crunchy, is a mediterranean restaurant worth going to?) All in all, everything was okay. They're a bit less expensive than Falafel King right across the street. This was a really great find that we fell onto accidentally. Walked in, never heard of it before and were great with great enthusiasm. It's a great looking place and the food was even better. The friendly staff walked us through the process (build your bowl) and they were very knowledgeable about their product. And, man!!!! Was it tasty. Really, really enjoyed our lunch today. Had a moment to talk with Angelina, as friendly as could be, who told us the story of the restaurant. I recommend trying this place out and keep coming till you try a little of everything. read more

Extremely disappointed!! I've been to Cava about 10 times and have always had at least a decent experience. I stopped by for the first time in about a year, after a long day of work. Waited about 10 minutes for service (I was the second person in line). While I was waiting, three employees were behind the counter tending to other things... NBD. It came time to order and they didn't have three of the items that I wanted, but I'd gone to far to turn back now. While I was checking out, I heard one employee ask another to restock the things that they were "out of". Not sure why they said they were out. I could understand them not worrying about it if they were about to close, but it was an hour before close. Finally, when I started my food, things were going as usual... then, I got to the lentils. I'm not exaggerating when I say that they were so hard that I honestly don't know if they were cooked. By this point, they were mixed in with the rest of the bowl and I was halfway home. I wound up picking out the meat that I could and throwing over half of my meal away. Pretty frustrated by the whole experience and I'm left wondering if this is a one off experience, it's this location, or if qc has changed over the past year. Came during their soft opening after receiving an email to come try it out. I have tried CAVA years ago while visiting Washington DC and been super happy they are opening stores around Colorado. Visited their other location multiple times down in Colorado blvd. Visited today and we took home two bowls, both had tons of fresh ingredients and really excited to have this place opening walking distance from our apartment. Bowls have a lot of flavor and you can customize them every visit different to try new stuff out. Highly recommend it. Location opens October 9th! read more

Last week I ordered the Spicy Lamb Meatball and Pita Chips with Hummus. I had the worst allergic reaction that I have ever experienced. My eyes and face were swollen for 3 days. The only ingredient that effects me in this way is MSG. I looked at their menu and saw that they pride themselves on offering products that are, "free of additives and preservatives, and they're vegetarian and low in calories, fat, and sodium. Additionally, they claim that specific products are gluten free or vegetarian. I contacted their customer service through email. The response I received listed these items as containing Mono Sodium Glutamate: Crispy Falafel, Greek Chicken, Spicy Chicken + Avocado Spicy Lamb Meatball, Free Pita, Pita - Sandwich, Salt-Brined Pickles, A la Carte Pita, Pita Chips, Pita Sandwich, Pita Chips. There was no apology, no explanation just a list. I encourage this company to be truthful in their advertising and admit up front to their customers about using MSG. I will never eat at CAVA again and will discourage everyone I know to do the same. MSG is a dangerous shortcut to making your food taste good. read more

Im going to start this one star review by saying I absolutely LOVE CAVA. Growing up in Maryland I had the pleasure of seeing their growth from a stand alone mezze restaurant tucked away in Rockville, Maryland (it's absolutely divine) to their multiple locations across the country. During these chaotic times, CAVA has been one of the only constant things in my life. Now that you understand that I'm a die hard CAVA fan, let's turn our attention to that one star review. The CAVA in Denver is 100% not the CAVA I love. The supergreens mix is literally just kale, the crazy feta is SO bland, the pita chips are huge and soggy, the skhug dressing literally has no flavor and the biggest disappointment of the meal.... the harissa. Let me tell you something, the harissa that they serve in their east coast CAVA will burn a hole through your tongue if you let it sit there for too long. It will clear your sinuses and make you break a sweat. THAT is the harissa I was hoping to get when I ordered my CAVA via DoorDash and the disappointment I felt when I took that first bite and literally tasted tomato paste might single handedly make me move back to the east coast. I am so disappointed with this meal, I took 3 bites and was completely over it. Now I'm going to go cry and try to recover from this. read more

Literally had uncooked lentils in my bowl. Hard, crunchy, uncooked lentils. How do you mess that up?

Complaint: This locations needs middle management or regional intervention ASAP. The employees at this location on. 8/17/21 around 7PM are working in an unsafe manner and handling food in an unsanitary manner. This is the third occurrence I've noticed in 1 month and I will no longer come to this location until I have confirmation of intervention. The quality of food is not directly suffering. Your staff at this location have head phones in while working the line, your cook has head phones in and the employees interacting with customers are wearing headphones. They are not aware of what your customers needs are, forget items requested and create an inefficient experience often taking 10-15 minutes with bowls of food stacking up due to inattentiveness. Furthermore the employees do no change gloves. They adjust ill fitting masks with their gloves and continue to serve food. They run and collect money at the cash register with dirty gloves then will continue serving food. On one instance a few weeks ago (not this one) a customer had to ask the employee to change his gloves after changing the receipt tape. This is unacceptable. If this is not corrected I will be filing a complaint with the city for a health inspection. I understand staffing is short and employees are often young with poor training, but paying customers deserve attentive servers and have a right to sanitary food service. read more

Staff were unfriendly with "I don't give a damn" attitudes - apparently I inconvenienced them by coming in the door. And small portions for the cost.
