Went to get takeout here! Arrived shortly after they opened (around 10:40AM on a Sunday) The staff itself was very kind and attentive. They were ready to go and help you out. The restaurant itself was clean and well taken care of. The soda machines and napkins/forks/straws were all stocked. The food itself was delicious! Service was fast on a weeknight which is imperative for hungry teens. First up was a bowl with hot honey chicken and rice. Tasty, but unfortunately they were out of several preferred toppings. Annoying but not a deal breaker. A kid sized meal was enjoyed next, and included chicken, pita and cucumbers. It was not too loud inside, not too busy, not too pricey. I love Cava. I think they're the best "fast" food option ever created. Think Chipotle but upgraded x100. I've been to over 5 different Cava locations and the quality of the food is consistent and always delicious. Reasonably priced for how large the bowls are too- I can make 2 meals from $20! Not to mention their fountain drinks are not from a big monopoly company (cough cough Coca Cola) and use natural ingredients. I am a forever customer! I've seen Cava all over and have never tried it before. I've heard it's like the "Chipotle" of Mediterranean food where you can pick and choose toppings and build your own bowl. I'm visiting a friend in Denver and didn't have a lot of time to eat so decided to pick up Cava since it was nearby. I appreciate the fact that there are plenty of vegan options and everything is clearly labeled with ingredients spelled out so I know what sauces and toppings I can pick. I decided to go for their Falafel Pita just to get a good taste of the most commonly ordered veggie option. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. The falafel is the weirdest falafel I've ever seen. It looked baked and a color I've never seen falafel before. Usually falafel is dark brown on the outside and greenish/yellow/brown on the inside but this was all light brown throughout. The wrap was decent, you can easily find way better pita bread in grocery stores. The veggies seemed fine but the sauce was way too tangy and acidic and didn't balance out the wrap very well Overall, I almost tossed the whole thing but decided to save half and ate it later when I was hungry without the option to get food quickly again. Not bad pricing for the portion size, especially since there's no upcharge for veggie protein. But I don't see myself coming back to try Cava again anytime soon. read more

The food is decent but this location does not seem to be managed well. One of the employees had a bit of an attitude and rolled their eyes at my friend while she was ordering. I got a salad and the employee was picking out slimy pieces from the greens and tossing them into trash can. Thanks, I guess? It seems that they should do that at the beginning of the day. A couple of us got meals that are supposed to include pita but it wasn't offered to us and we had to go back and ask for it, so overall i wasn't particularly impressed with the service here. There is a good amount of seating and they were pretty busy around lunchtime. It's a nice part of town but street parking can be a challenge. read more

It's a bit of a casual fast food, create your own, or order curated dishes, but not in the way that makes you think of processed food or gross ingredients. Your body and health are respected here. Reading some of the previous comments, I can see where people are coming from that customer service used to not be great. However I've still been coming to this location a while and yesterday was the best experience. I went around 6PM and it wasn't too busy. I was getting two bowls, one for my husband and myself. I didn't realize lentils have an up charge (maybe they always have and I never noticed) but the lady helping me was super nice and gave me a scoop of each in the bowl. Felt like good customer service to me. For the toppings, I always feel super picky because I basically get everything except pickles and corn, then ask for extra pickled onions. They were so accommodating, and let me get two dressings on the side to try (I always get the Greek vinaigrette but wanted to try the tahini Caesar (did not enjoy) and preserved lemon (tasty but tangy!). This neighborhood in the central Denver has been booming. The latest developments are modern looking townhomes, gourmet restaurants and coffee shops, and a movie theater. This new location of Cava' is surely part of the thriving neighborhood and it's nice to have those more approachable restaurants being apart from those somewhat high-end restaurants. Cava has been my go-to fast Mediterranean restaurant for a good amount of time now (Cava bought out Zoe's Kitchen not too long ago.) I liked Zoe's but I like Cava slightly better. To satisfy my grumpy stomach (around 11am), I decided to try this location and I am gladly able to say that this location has become by far my favorite one out of all the other locations I've been to. First of all, the dining area is spacious and clean (almost spotless; it could be that I stepped in before the so-called rush lunch hour but hey, they should take credit for doing a great job keeping it tidy.) Once I approached the ordering counter, all 4 employees behind the ingredients display smiled at me with a friendly hello. I set my eyes on Balsamic Date Chicken. As I glanced through all the ingredients in front of me, I was amazed to see how fresh they looked. It was so nice to see what would go into my bowl. And this bowl is only $11.15. And its calories count is only 645. At that moment, I knew I picked something right for my late morning breakfast/lunch. As soon as I took a bite (once I had got home), I was pleased with all the ingredients that got put into it. This bowl is not heavy on your stomach but is filling at the same time. I was first to order from the store this morning via mobile app. I arrived at 10:35 and the doors were still locked and when I went to get my food from the counter, I had requested silverware and a bag and neither was there being that I was in a hurry I did not check that I got everything, but when I got to my work, I found that I did not get the pita chips that I paid for nor did I get the vinaigrette that I had requested.
