After a fun and sweaty Yelp Elite Week event at Electric Gamebox, I needed a healthy pick me up before work. Cava offers fresh and healthy ingredients that give you energy and a full stomach. The setup is like Chipotle and Qdoba. All you do is go down the line and choose from a good variety of bases, toppings and sauces. Or choose from their already curated menu. My build your own bowl was a beautiful and bright creation. Almost too pretty to eat and tasted just as good as it looked. Saffron rice, romaine, harissa chicken, fire roasted corn, cucumbers, cabbage slaw, tzatziki, feta. Loved everything I ate and was happier knowing that it's mostly all healthy. Wish there was a Cava closer to me, but glad I've tried it after hearing great things about the chain. read more

I was first to order from the store this morning via mobile app. I arrived at 10:35 and the doors were still locked and when I went to get my food from the counter, I had requested silverware and a bag and neither was there being that I was in a hurry I did not check that I got everything, but when I got to my work, I found that I did not get the pita chips that I paid for nor did I get the vinaigrette that I had requested. This has been on my list of places to try since I heard about it opening. This location is part of the new build on 8th and Colorado and there are plenty of other new businesses in the area. I found street parking, but there is also a free parking garage . I ordered a custom bowl and one of the chef inspired pitas (falafel). I love that you can easily sub toppings out and really customize your order. Everything is super fresh and they have a wood fired oven to roast meats and veggies. The portions are substantial and every ingredient is full of flavor. There are great veggie options and the quality and freshness of everything will satisfy you. A really nice fast-casual spot in Denver! I love the variety of bowls, and their portions are huge! We got lunch here after an appointment at Rose, and their portions are seriously generous. I didn't even make it through half my Harissa avocado bowl, so I had leftovers for the next day! And at the price (which seems expensive up front), for 2 meals, it's a great deal! :) The Harissa avocado bowl is all I've tried, but it's amazing! I am typically a big fan of Cava but didn't have the best first experience at this location. I placed an order online for two grain bowls. One bowl was as-ordered, but the other was missing the roasted veggies (my favorite part!) and crumbled feta; unfortunately, I did not realize until I was already home. We might have caught the location on an off-day, as the pita crisps were noticeably greasier than usual, to the point I chose not eat them. I will give this location another shot but will likely order in-person to avoid getting the incorrect order. read more

I am going to give this place a solid 4 star! It's like a Chipotle and a Mediterranean restaurant had a baby. Inside very open concept with plenty of seating inside and out. The service was just ok but what it lacked in service it made up for in food. I had a bowl which consisted of rice, mixed greens, lamb meatballs and shredded lamb complete with some of their humus and tzatziki along with a spicy dressing. Very solid choice and the lamb was delicious. This was the 1st time trying one of these places and I was very happy we did. I am only disappointed we don't live in the area because this would for sure be a new favorite. If you added a few more smiles, greeting and have a nice day I would give this place a 5 star. I love Cava, but man did I feel like they were trying to kick me out of door. God forbid it would have been my first time there I would never go back. If I took a second to think what I wanted, the option was taken away and I had to move to the next section. Only got to say two things in the veggie section before I was moved down and asked if I wanted dressing. Not sure if the workers were bored and were trying to see how quickly they could push someone through the line or if management is trying to cut down on costs by not letting people get what they want.. but I'll probably opt for a different location or something else to avoid it next time. Ummmmm YES!! I want to go back to Denver just so I can eat here. Hello CAVA people please come to Ft Lauderdale!! The place was packed and much like most places in Thai day and age I am sure they were short staffed so no complaints about the wait. I was so torn about a bowl and a pita but caved for a bowl since I noticed that everyone on the was getting a bowl and I was NOT disappointed. I went ahead and got a build your own. I normally never put dressing on salads or bowls but decided to try the dill yogurt and wished they sold that in a bottle. BEYOND AMAZING!! They also have several craft fountain juice drinks which I can never turn down. I think I was on my 3rd or 4th glass of the cucumber drink. Another BEYOND AMAZING comment!!! Friendly staff that did not seem frazzled (there were 2 running the serving and cashier portion) Bravo to you!!! I am going back to Denver in a few weeks and I know where I am heading to. read more

You go down the line with picking your protein, vegetables/toppings, sauce, and dressing. I ordered a lamb pita and a Lentil Avocado Bowl to save for my lunch the next day. The pita was generously filled, and super tasty. It was packed with flavor!. While both entrees were super delicious, I was BLOWN AWAY by the Lentil Avocado Bowl. Usually with healthy salads or bowls; you compromise on some flavor, or it's just over all dry, but not this. Vegetables I didn't even know would taste good together, complemented each other in a harmonious dish. It was creamy, it was flavorful, it was colorful, and I enjoyed each bite! It came with a bed of spinach, roasted veggies such as cauliflower and carrots, roasted eggplant, pickled onions, cucumber, lentil tabbouleh, small pieces of kale, with avocado and topped with garlic dressing and skhug. BYO Mediterranean bowls concept that is quick, convenient, and delicious. I've had Cava a lot in the East Coast before they finally moved out here and it's always been one of my favorites. Building a rice bowl with Mediterranean ingredients like falafel, hummus, and the signature Crazy Feta keeps me coming back for more. The service at this location can be lacking sometimes. I've had online orders come out with missing ingredients. I have also had some greens in my bowl that weren't optimal. Though this isn't always the case, and the food is still as delicious as ever. We live close by so this has become a nice option for a healthy meal for a cuisine we really love. It has the Chipotle-like set-up in terms of ordering, which everyone is familiar with, so it really moves the process along nicely and provide people variations with ease. I have only ordered salads so far but they have been really good. The bonus is if you could get the meat right off the grill. This is like an upscale version of Chipotle. The inside isn't upscale, but the food it. SO.MANY.OPTIONS. So many delicious options! And so many toppings! I love it because there are recipes they have posted if you are indecisive (and can adjust them by adding or removing items), or you can build it a la carte which isn't too pricey. You can definitely find something if you have food allergies or lifestyle choices. I was bummed because (at least during covid), I had to buy a container or water rather than using a water fountain or soda fountain (I drink a ton of water, y'all). Also, they forgot to give me my serving of complimentary naan bread that comes with every bowl- don't let them forget it! I wish I had one in my city. I ordered online and my order was accurate - it's always a little nerve racking when you can't watch them make something in a custom-style restaurant. As other people have mentioned, the concept is similar to Chipotle. The price is not - a bowl will cost close to $12. I also am not a fan of their rewards app. You have about 5 months to actually earn your reward or else it starts over. For a single person, this just is difficult. Overall, its a nice, fresh alternative to similar places, but I see this place as more of a luxury purchase for fast casual. read more

You definitely get what you pay for, but you sure do pay for it! Delicious and clearly high quality, especially when comparing to a not so distant cousin whose namesake is derived from the bean that is hummus in solid form. Proteins were top notch and had great flavor. I just wish that a standard serving was a larger amount. Both bowls pictured had extra protein ordered because the serving that was included was probably 1/2 that of a scoop at chipotle. The dips and spreads, while also very tasty, are somewhat of a gimmick. You get to choose a few, but the serving utensil is the equivalent of the smallest ice cream scoop I've ever seen - probably about the size of a table spoon. Toppings - you can get as many and as much as you want. Definitely a saving grace for the overall quantity. Alas, $27 later (for only two bowls mind you) our stomachs were full and my wallet running on empty. I guess robbing Peter to pay Paul is broadly applicable. If you're looking for a fresh and fast spin on Mediterranean, the food here will not disappoint - it was delicious to the point of bowl scraping. But, you get what you pay for, so pay up! read more

Love love love the food here. Mediterranean food with an exclamation point. Everything I've had is wonderful. However, the point of my review here is to make others aware that you may need to pad your time in getting your food!!! No doubt part of the reason there are a few problems is that the food is that good. Ordered a rather lengthy order online for curbside delivery. We were taking food as a gift for a family. Pretty easy. I paid for it online with a debit card. Got to the restaurant, and, as instructed, called their number for someone to bring out the food. No order was received. I checked my bank account, and, sure enough, the money had been debited. I called the other Cava on So Colo Blvd. No food there either. The employees were very kind, made the order up, and didn't charge us for it. While they were great, they were also overworked and a bit harried. Saw one man who also had been waiting for curbside delivery march in and angrily take his food that was prepared on a cart & waiting for him. He yelled at the crew as he was walking out the door. The young man, rather than shrugging it off, ran after him to try to find out what happened. I think what happened is: they can't keep up. This food was a mess! It didn't have enough mixed lettuce greens, way to much rice and just seemed mushy and messy!

Decided to try this place because I heard they were good with allergies, ordered online to go through the drive through. The eta on the site said the food would be finished at the same time we were passing by, and since we were in a hurry, this was perfect for us. When we got there, they took our name at the window and started making the food. That's right, they didn't start it until we got there. Not only that, but only one of the orders was correct, the other two had things on them that none of us had ordered as we all have allergies to them. One of us has Celiac's disease and she was given falafel, which is one of the few things on the bowl menu with gluten, the other bowl messed up had feta in it, also a major allergen for us. Those two bowls were also missing the dressings that were supposed to go on the side. Moral of the story is don't eat at Cavas if you have an allergy, sensitivity, or if you care what you eat. read more
