Not sure if the guy was having a bad day or what, but this was my first time going to Cava and the guy gave me children sized portions on my bowl. Like half a spoon of rice, COUNTED 9 pieces of meat (which is +$4 if you want them but I was expecting more for $4). Little to no salad, and 1 falafel. Being honest: For a bowl of little amount of food, $17 is ridiculous. You can get a fuller bowl of Will not be coming back and I do not recommend it. Ps. Bummed to give this place 3 stars because I know the concept and it could be great. I got a custom bowl. The saffron rice didn't have much flavor, the falafel were not great nor tasted super fresh. My bowl had way too much sauce and could be my fault for getting two sauces, but would assume the employee would ration when saying I want two sauces. Also, the employees all had no smiles, and seemed frustrated to be there. A couple even talked back to each other. The counter was pretty messy which is in line with the lack luster service. Oh CAVA, how I love you from my time in Washington DC. I was so excited to find CAVA in Colorado! However, my experience at this store was disappointing. From the reviews, it looks like others have had similar experiences. I hope corporate/management takes notice and invests in more training at this location. It's sorely needed. I got the seasonal lemon chicken bowl because I saw on the menu it has fire roasted corn in it. Only once the bowl was half assembled did the staff mention they are out of grilled corn, which was literally the reason I picked this seasonal bowl. I shared this, and the staff basically shrugged -- no other action. At the end of the assembly line, they also said that they were out of the lemon vinaigrette, which was the second key ingredient for this bowl that was missing. 0 for 2 at this point. Again, no action offered from the staff. I picked another dressing. I was not given a pita with this salad even though I thought this was standard for CAVA salads. I asked for a drink and a cup for water for my companion and was (over)charged for 2 fountain drinks. Then, when filling the cup, I found a sign on the soda machine that they were out of ice. At this point, it was just so ridiculous. The food itself was good! I had missed CAVA! But it was not a pleasant experience given the attitude of the staff and them being out of 3 things I wanted on this trip. read more

The continuing saga of the one of the worst run fast causals... It's been 6 months since I'd been, so thought I'd give it a try again and see if it's improved at all -- flavors are pretty good so if it were run as well as a chipotle it would be a solid choice. Have given up on ordering online here (see previous), so walked in to a find a strangely slow line, not many people, but just... slow. As I walk up to order the counter guy yells, "good on chicken!" while looking straight at me, the guy back on the grill says "need chicken??", counter guy repeats "good on chicken!!", grill guy, "so you need more chicken?", counter guy finally turns around and yells, "no, we have enough chicken!!!". M'kay, psyched to order... Order a greek chicken wrap, first guy starts to make it and then hands it off to the next guy on the line without saying a word. Second guy is confused, says what is this?, followed by grumbling back and forth. He's unsure of how to finish it off, grabs a squirt bottle, but the impassive cashier who's watching tells him it's the wrong thing. So he turns around, walks back to a fridge, and grabs another bottle of the exact same thing and starts to use it, and the cashier say, "nope", but doesn't offer to help him or tell him what's wrong. Guy kinds of hems and haws and then just uses the first squirt bottle. Cashier looks at me and says "sorry". Think they used Italian dressing -- whatever. Get home and find that the grill guy must never scrape his grill because the chicken is inedible with chunks of burnt black chicken that must've been burning on the grill for hours. Just hard, gritty, inedible. This has to be the consistently worst run fast causal I've ever seen. read more

Fresh ingredients, tasty, unique food!! I was overall very impressed with Cava! I love their sauces and all the ingredient choices - love that you can put as many toppings as you want! The food was really good but I don't recommend ordering online. I was missing four toppings on my bowl and a couple side sauces and an side pita and the chocolate milk. I also asked for all sauces to be on the side and some of them were put on the bowl. I did catch two of the missing items before I left, but I have never been there before so I wasn't aware that they keep their drinks in a separate bin and no one told me. I only realized that I was missing more once I got home, but I live too far for it to be worth it to even go back to get it fixed. Check your order before leaving. read more

I live for Mediterranean food-- especially the BYOB (build your own bowl) places. My best friend took me to Cava for dinner as soon as I landed in Denver. The restaurant itself is nice, and the menu is huge! They have sooo many options-- of meats, toppings, dips, spreads, sauces, etc. I got a 1/2 salad, 1/2 rice base with grilled chicken and almost every topping they have. If you go, DONT miss feta spread or garlic sauce. The yogurt dill sauce was also a fave. Their greek vinegarette and tatziki are good too. I'm planning to go every time I'm in Denver. read more

My boyfriend and I have been on the lookout to find nearby easy, fast and healthy options for food. The pictures posted by the business make the food look amazing and I can attest that this is true when the taste test is applied. My dish was healthy and vegetarian and the taste was spot on. The falafels were absolutely delicious and my bf seriously didn't even let me try his dish because it was "too good and there wasn't enough of it". Another giant plus for me was the fact that the cashier/ server literally cuts a fresh avocado onto your bowl if it calls for it. Fresh and absolutely delicious with their sauces. A few negatives: my dish only came with 2 pretty small falafel balls (I feel like it needed at least 4 to be fair pricing wise). Also the place seemed a bit understaffed it was difficult to find a clean table to eat in although the place was empty. Ah the Mediterranean Chiptole. I ordered a pita bowl from them and gave me a sad half pita slice. I had to pay around 2 more dollars for a full sized pita. I'd recommend getting the bowl with carbs instead. When I paid, I say an employee take a dollar bill from the tip jar like if that was their second job. The food was okay for the most part, just the dang pita bread. The place was quite dirty too. Unwiped tables, messy floors and such. The place doesn't seem to be very inviting. Hey Cava, I understand stuff happens. But my to go order was not ready even though I placed it two hours in advance. I was in line with a back log of to go orders and was sitting in your restaurant for over 30 minutes. I really should have just gotten in your normal line as it was moving way faster, but I had already paid via the app. Additionally the staff was super unmotivated, down trodden, and less than apologetic. I have heard really great things about your establishment and therefor gave it a shot for the first time. It truly was a regrettable experience for a night I was planning to spend with my family. I was disappointed when Zoes Kitchen closed, as it was my favorite quick takeout option. When I finally made the connection that CAVA, which opened in the old Zoes locations, was the company that bought them, I decided to give them a try. So glad I did. I might like them better than Zoes. They offer curbside pickup, which is great. It's super-convenient and easy. The menu is small but mighty. Don't know if they scaled down in the pandemic or if they just keep it simple. But what they do have is delicious. The tahini caesar salad is excellent. I've been twice and gotten the same thing. Usually I customize my salad as most menus include an ingredient or two that I don't like. But not this salad. It's got delicious grilled chicken, arugula and romaine, feta, hummus tahini dressing. So good. My husband got a pita sandwich with meatballs and loved it. When I need a fast meal that doesn't' make me feel bad, CAVA will be my go-to. read more

I would have appreciated them letting me know if they were out of the toppings I ordered, but I think there was just not much attention paid to detail. Ordered online for curbside pickup. TLDR: Cava is amazing greek fast casual, they are serving free meals for the next few days at their newly opened locations, reserve your spot on their website! I believe they officially open 6/19! As former DC residents we were stoked to see a cava moving in close to home! There are other locations in the Denver area that are also opening. For those that don't know, Cava started as a single spot in Rockville MD just outside DC and arguably became the favorite fast casual place in the DMV over the years. The SO and I were obviously huge fans and missed it a ton when we moved away. Cava has always been big into community and just today we reminisced about the multiple events we'd been to and run in college where they had donated not only catering but also staff to really bring the cava experience. I was lucky enough to stumble upon the location here and checked out the website to find that they were sticking to their values and having community days with free meals, a swag bag, and of course accepted donations for a great organization. In my opinion if you're looking for Greek/Mediterranean fast casual there is nothing better than Cava and believe me, I've tried to find a replacement in other cities without luck. The variety, quality, and flavors are hard to beat. Today the staff were friendly and we were so happy to get a taste of Cava after 3 years without it. The good stuff: I had the grain bowl with brown rice, chicken, hummus, crazy feta (spicy feta it's amazing), cucumber/tomato salad, cabbage slaw, kalamata olives, and the lemon tahini sauce. The SO opted for a pita with braised lamb, crazy feta, roasted red pepper hummus, roasted corn and tomato/cucumber salad. Everything was delicious and we are so excited to welcome Cava to the neighborhood. Also: props to them with everyone wearing masks, social distancing stickers, and keeping the space open.
