Visiting Colorado for the first time and after eating so much hearty American food, I had to get something light and healthy. And I'm so glad I came across Bare Blends! I ordered the Ginger Zing (with extra ginger); so refreshing and a perfect way to start my morning, blueberry waffle toast (added strawberries) and this is a must!! We don't really have these types of waffle toasts at açaí places back in the Bay Area so I knew I had to try it. It's thick, a little dense because of the almond butter, but it perfectly paired with the agave and vanilla protein waffle blend! Lastly, I also got the açaí crunch bowl - to be honest, I've had other açaí bowls that I prefer more. No hate, the ingredients were so fresh, but I've just had better elsewhere. My husband and I live in Orange County...quite the place for authentic Acai Bowls to be a dime a dozen. We definitely have our refined preferences having tried a variety of our local options, and even some in Hawaii. BARE BLENDS TOPS THEM ALL!! We visit Colorado fairly often for family and a break from the rat race of Southern California. It's a second home to us. We were both starving and were craving something cold and refreshing. My husband asked for me to look up a Jamba Juice since he new there would be a likely location on our way to hike in Boulder. Thank goodness it was closed!! I looked up an acai/smoothie place and bare blends popped in my recommendations. We ordered two bowls and a smoothie...we were blown away! Great place to grab an açaí bowl or smoothie. All natural ingredients. It's plant-based food - so it's vegan friendly and dairy free. The only "added" sugar is some agave. Th drinks aren't too sweet, but also not too plain and bitter. The iced peanut butter coffee was really good. And the fiesta blend salad is a must. My BF loves it and totally thought there was real meat and cheese in it. Walnut sunflower taco "meat" is seasoned perfectly and the cashew "queso" tastes just like cheese. Interior is clean and well maintained. All tables/chairs are elevated - my spouse is five foot and she had some concern about getting into the slightly elevated seating but after trying it, it all worked out and they weren't so tall as to prevent her from getting into them and sitting comfortably in them. The food - the food was VERY good! We ordered the mini-waffles and a bowl each. We were so excited to be at a nearly all vegan place we had to try a few different options. The mini-waffles were crispy and had fresh fruit toppings and sauces that really added to the flavor. The bowls we ordered were flavorful and had the consistency of just thicker than a milk shake. There was lots of fruits and nuts and even some granola in each. Will definitely return. read more

I was having the biggest craving for an acai bowl and this was the closest place where I could get a quick fix. There are actually only a few bowls that have acai, but the rest seem like various toppings on top of a more solid smoothie. I did opt to try something new and got the creamsicle crush bowl. This has a mango,strawberry,orange and soy milk base. The toppings were triple berry granola, fresh fruit mix, goji berries, chia seeds and peanut butter. Honestly it was pretty good. I liked the toppings and the flavors. The price is a bit steep, but otherwise I'd be back to try some other flavors or a normal acai bowl. read more

I happened to walk by and saw their doors open so stopped in today. It is their soft opening October 30th and 31st. The grand opening being Monday. The coffee climb was excellent. Everything on this menu is to die for! And organic! Not like some of the other places that are serving GMO food covered in pesticides. Gross. Bare bowls are very creative and they offer about double the options / double the menu size than other bowl places. They also do salads and gluten free waffles (which are a good consistency but kind of bland) however I still give them 5 stars for creativity and taste on everything else on the menu and the way the dress the waffles - you can do savory or sweet. This truly is a must try that I highly recommend and I hope Colorado gets more locations soon! read more

Even though I've had good experiences here in the past, today that was not the case. I am on the email list and they send out a weekly update for the flavor of the week. I went to order the advertised flavor on their website, but when I arrived for pickup, they had prepared a completely different smoothie bowl than advertised. The flavor I received was not at all what I was expecting or wanting. When I asked why the flavor was different than listed, the associate told me her manager was gone so they haven't yet received this week's recipe (which was supposed to be available as of two days ago). I asked if she could remedy this since I did not want the food they provided, and she gave me a coupon for a smoothie, which is of lesser value than what I ordered today.
