Yet another fantastic lunch at Cava. My wife and i love stopping here for lunch and i have never had a bad meal. So many options and Uber healthy. I had a salad with fresh Romain and very Greek style fixins. The prices are reasonable. It's quick. The staff has always been very friendly. Delish! As a DC native no stranger to cava and happy to see this "local" food experience expanding to charlottesville. Had the lamb based on the recommendation from the staff (was looking for something other than chicken) - hands down one of the best choices. If you like lamb this was spot on. The pickled onions, tahini, olives, power greens, lentils, eggplant, and more. This was delightful and stretched it into 2 meals. CAVA in Midlothian VA and Richmond VA are great, but not in C'ville VA. Used to love the C'ville location, but for the last few months every visit has been a crap shoot - never know what the experience is going to be like - so inconsistent. Today (12/7/2021) @ 3:45 pm dealing with employees at the C'ville location was a struggle - shouldn't be that way. (We are after all paying customers.) They are skimping so much on their food that it's totally ridiculous! Midlothian and Richmond (Short Pump) don't do this. So why do the employees at the C'ville location feel they have to argue with customers about how much food they give out? Is it poor training? How disappointing! I find myself now asking....why do I keep going back there? It's getting to the point that it's not worth it anymore. read more

I love their bowls and salads here. It is like a fresher Mediterranean chipotle. There are so many things you can choose from to make your bowl your own. It is also nice to have something that is fairly healthy and quick. Super delicious, fresh, and convenient. read more

As a first time cava experience I was disappointed to say the least. The employees were beyond rude and I felt rushed. They didn't explain anything to me and rushed me through the line. The only reason they get two stars is because the food was actually good but I'm really big on customer service and can't get over how rude the staff was. read more

Not so fresh cow pile rendition of Mediterranean. Served Chipolte buffet style. I get it for Mexican but the flavors of Mediterranean deserve to be separated and served separated on a flat plate. A sad take on Lebanese food mostly. Cant tell as it's piled up in a bowl and half way through is merely a soup/stew/mush. I get it might work for fast food alternative but this is pathetic. I love this place. Honestly! The food was delicious and fresh. I never really like this type of food, and the restaurant mezza was no exception but this was amazing! The wife and I were here out of town, shopped for a bit and looked for a place to eat. The reviews looked good so we tried it. It's basically Mediterranean Chipotle. The food was good but the price creeps up on you. Not saying it was super expensive, just that $2.50 is a bit much for a fountain drink. I'm sad I only get to have Cava when visiting other places. The closest location to me is 3 hours away. I'm so glad the footprint is expanding but hope SWVA is on the radar. I really wanted to like Cava, but was disappointed and a little angry to pay nearly $10 for a bowl of rice. The toppings themselves are delicious, but you only get about two bites worth. I ordered my grain and green bowl (hardly any greens) and topped it with falafel and received four tiny falafels. Same with the tomato and cucumber salad topping, I was given a total of two cherry tomatoes (they're halved and I counted four halves in my entire bowl). Love what they're doing, especially with sourcing things locally if they can, but I couldn't believe how sparse they were with all ingredients. I won't be going again, stick with Roots and Mezeh if you're looking for a healthy bowl meal! read more

Terrible experience. We were in the parking lot and a employee called the police on us for sitting in the car. We had just finished dining at CAVA, and we get greeted by one of Charlottesville finest. The officer was cool about everything, and explained to us that the employee called them because we looked "suspicious". I feel like their was defiantly some prejudices on part of the employee. So, if you plan on dining here RE-consider. The staff is prejudice against people of color. CAVA should train their employees on sensitivity training. Get it together CAVA employees! I came in today to try something new and an employee was asleep at a table! When I got to the register and asked to speak to a manager, I was told the girl sleeping at the table was the GM named Tyler. I told a friend about this when I got back to the office and she continued to explain to me that Tyler was rude to her once before. I was also told that the alleged GM has been seen mocking her co workers because of there strong Latin accent! This was my first and last experience at this store! I will say however that the team mates were very helpful and patient with me! To bad they have such poor leadership. read more

Went in for dinner, amazing service. Appeared to be a group of deaf customers ordering, the manager signed with them, and then walked out and exchanged conversation with them, amazing to know that cava has such a wide variety of employees. The food is tasty and a vegetarian or vegan can eat well. I have only praise for the meals and staff. However, as a vegetarian, I was dismayed by the overwhelming odor of cooking meat as I entered CAVA on my most recent trip. The odor detracted from an otherwise excellent meal. I understand that some people will choose a meat for their protein, which is fine, but if the smell of meat continues to permeate the restaurant and to be so dominate, I will, sadly, not return. read more

I love it. I am addicted it's so good. There is something about the spicy hummus and the pita chips that I just can't get though of. The big pita rice and drinks are great too.
