Went to pickup lunch from an online order for a coworker's birthday lunch. It was ready on time. No issues. Order was correct. And it was delicious. I actually liked it more than I thought I would. Everyone at worked enjoyed as well. I would totally recommend. Inside was quite busy, so eating there might be a different experience.

A standard, no-frills, fast casual restaurant located on the bustling Avalon Blvd near Ikea, this Cava is typically considered a reliable and comparable alternative to Chipotle with Mediterranean inspired options! The ambiance is quite nice inside the restaurant, but service is a bit slow, and the line can drag on weekends in particular. The quality of the ingredients are fresh and above average compared to other Cavas. Overall, definitely a recommended option in the LA region!

Been to this Cava multiple occasions, but I'm so upset with the recent pick up order. They need to be careful on what lids they're putting on the bowls because I received a completely different bowl than the one I ordered. My dad ordered 4 bowls for the family, and I was so excited to eat my bowl after work so I'm the last one to eat. I read the label to make sure it was mine and it was correct but when I opened it, it has falafel, cucumber, tomato, pickled onions, beans, and other stuff and I didn't order a single one of these in my actual bowl. Imagine coming home to eat a bowl you've been craving since work, just to open it and it's not even correct. Mind you, my family also didn't order any of these so it wasn't theirs either. Pick up order was on 4/29 at 4:45 pm, they should figure out who did this so it doesn't happen to anyone else.

Super good flavor. Crispy veggies. Excellent consistency. Got the salad bowl with harissa chicken and it's fire! Super quick service. Clean place. Got it to go but there's plenty of seating inside so I'll check it out again next time.

I had heard of this place via social media. I wanted to feature healthier options for eating out. So I tried this out. Had to travel a little far for it, but I'm not sure it's worth it. Location: in the Carson Plaza shopping center right off of the 405 freeway. Corner store with plenty of parking as there is a private parking space but it does share with other stores. Food: Just like a Chipotle, you have many options to making your own bowls to a taco. I made my own bowl that had lettuce, roasted corn, feta, spicy lamb balls, feta cheese, and basmati rice. I also included some hummus, tzatziki sauce and a spice blend sauce called harissa(?). My first mistake was choosing the spicy lamb balls.. They were perfectly cooked on one side, but the underside was burnt. No good. Why is it so hard for places to cook lamb so it's not burnt? I suggest getting any of the dips if you want any on the side I also got the Aleppo tangerine drink. The drink was OK, but I think I would've been happier with some of the other drinks on tap. Summary: I think I would've been happier, not including any feta or if I had picked another protein choice rather than lamb balls. I took off a star for burnt meat. I took off another star for their dips. If you're going to include dips, can we please not plop them down in one area of your bowl? The idea is to be able to dip into them as much or as little as we want not have them covered in one entire area. A better idea would've been to ask them to include them separately from the bowl so, maybe that was on me. The rice was also hard as if not quite cooked enough or been kept too long in the warming bin. You're not limited to bowls either. You can have it in pita bread in salad or a bowl that includes both grains and salad. You also have your choice of picking one of their curated bowls instead of making your own, which I guess is the way to go if you're new. Would I come back? Hmmmmmm. Maybe. I would be willing to give it a go again, but maybe this time I'll be picking a curated bowl instead. Ambiance is fast casual and modern. Service was a bit hectic as they were busy with the lunch crowd, so no fault there. Price is mid to high depending on what your choices are for fillings. I included their roasted sweet potatoes so my total was about $25 with the fountain drink. Not exactly cheap. Was it worth it? Meh. I suppose if you want to feel more comfortable about your healthy option for food, you might be willing to pay a little bit more like anything else these days when eating out especially if you want healthy, you're going to pay for it.

I discovered this joint through social media and wanted to try it for myself. I opted for the kids meal because I wasn't too hungry and didn't want leftovers. I tried the chicken with tomato + cucumber and the roasted corn, I didn't see the fiery broccoli today but I'll have to try it next time I visit. The yogurt dill dip is my favorite, I wasn't too amazed by the crazy feta. I chose the pita chips as my side today but I would definitely pick carrots to dip it in the yogurt dill sauce next time, I find the pita chips to be a bit oily. I can see why this spot is popular, but if they had more staff on the line taking orders - it would be more efficient.

I came in on 9/13/25 at 11:10 am. I saw a lady coming out with a Cava bag so surely they must be open at 11. When I went inside, staff were taking their break and said they were closed- to come back in 15 minutes. As I walked by the front entrance, I noticed their hours said they opened at 10:45. I went to target and then came back. It was my first time at Cava so I had no clue what to order. I think it would be helpful to have the categories projected to view while waiting in line- or a QR code to view menu. I ordered 2 kids meals, and 2 bowls. I asked for a recommendation but the person attending me told me it was her second day- no worries. I decided to order grilled chicken for myself and my kids, and chicken shawarma for my husband. They had many things to choose from which was great but they were out of Feta cheese and they had just opened which was a let down. My bowl was good. I do wish that they had recommended getting the pita chips as I tasted my daughter's and they were a good pairing with her meal. The 3 stars were for the food. 1 on service- I felt like I was disturbing the time I was there after I was passed from the new hire over to the toppings/cashier.

I have wanted to try Cava for so long and finally got the chance to while in Carson. I opted for the hot harissa chicken bowl and it was insanely good. I am still dreaming about it. My meal tasted fresh despite being fast food. It was so easy to place an online order and customize my dish exactly how I wanted it. The pita bread on the side was a great pairing with my meal. I can't wait to go back and try other options on their menu. This particular location is situated in an outdoor shopping area and offers tons of parking.

Was traveling through and looking for something simple but not junk food. Cava was perfect. The offerings were fresh and healthy- I had the spicy lamb and avocado and a Mexican soda, my 9 yo son had the grilled chicken and veggies. Cava does remind me of Chipotle in terms of service and style, but the food is way better and healthier. Would absolutely eat here again. read more

Horrible ONLINE PICKUP SERVICE ! Ordered 3 bowls waited 30 minutes before heading to the store, arrived to pick up the order and it still was not done waited an additional 15 minutes to receive my order. Once I got home and checked my bowl HALF of the sides were missing on all plates. NO HUMMUS, NO TZATZIKI, NO FIERY BROCCOLI, NO CRUMBLED FETA and no PITA BREAD. Extra add ons were not included! The girl doing online orders had an attitude as well. Waiting is fine but waiting and having half of the food missing is unacceptable! read more

This place is phenomenal. This is a chipotle style setting where you can choose all your tasty toppings. Choose a bowl or pita. I've been to similar restaurants, but you can taste the quality in this food. Don't get me started on the homemade lemonade selection. 10/10. Update: I went back a second time. Was really curious about Cava because I've seen it at other spots/malls and was kind of excited to see this at Carson Mall. I stopped by on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy inside in regards to people in line and people eating inside/outside. I ordered the steak and harissa bowl and it was fire! I really loved the taste and everything that was included in the bowl. Next time I go I might try the build your own but really looking forward to trying the other foods. read more

My very first experience in this location wasn't good at all, I bought my order through their app, to beat the line as this place was fairly new. I was so wrong, somehow the line went faster than the pick-up area. There were many of us there confused why our orders weren't ready when it said it would be ready. Not only that we barely heard the names being called. It was very chaotic, and unorganized. When I got my order I rushed home to eat, and the bowl they gave me barely had anything in it... I was very disappointed! I do give second chances though and gave it another try, and my second time here was definitely made up for my first impression, but this time I just waited in line for 30 dreadful minutes. The line in any Cava locations is always so long! I'm not sure if it's the worth the wait or not, cause on the other hand their food is outstandingly delicious and nutritious! And sadly by the time I was ready to order, they ran out of the garlic ranch pita chips. Nonetheless their regular pita chips did not disappoint. Overall, I think it's a great place to eat especially if you want something healthy and filling, just wish it was more organized and efficient. Cause the line can get way too long and I'm not sure if I'd use pick-up order again. read more

I ordered a create your own bowl yesterday, it went fairly smooth at first as it was around 2 pm and no customers. I was on the phone put my call on hold gave the guy a $50 and he proceeded to give me my change without saying how much it was or counting it back. I spoke up and then he said what the register said. I took my to go order and left. I hadn't eaten anything all day. I began to eat it about 15 minutes later and got sick to my stomach. Prior to trashing the remainder, (I was debating on having it analyzed), then I found a long string of hair in it. My hair was in a scarf pulled back into a ponytail. So, clearly it wasn't mine's. The hours are amazing, usually we eat late due to my husband working nights for 25+ years so being night owls this place opening up so close to us is really great to be able to eat good so late! Love the bowls lotsa protein, reasonably priced and u get a lot! The place is brand new and clean. The staff are always very friendly and nice, this was a wonderful addition to our community and such a yummy and good healthy food vs what's usually open at that time! This place is delicious!!! The steak was perfectly cooked, the rice and lentils are amazing! I'm obsessed with the pita chips and all the sauces. I love that the staff are friendly and didn't mind walking me through the ordering process. Even the organic sodas and the homemade teas and lemonades are to die for. The dining room ambiance is perfect. I loved the bright sunny walls and the oak tables. I will definitely be a regular at Cava. read more

I want to give this place 5 stars, but I just can't. LOVE the taste, not too happy with the portion sizes. My favorite protein so far has been the Honey Chicken, but the Braised Lamb is very flavorful as well. The Cucumber Mint drink is my favorite and I could drink that every day! Service is okay, I know they just opened so it's kind of slow but I'm sure they'll be fine once the hype of a new place dies down. Worth the try though for sure. read more

The salad and hummus were amazing as well and we ordered a side of garlic sauce. We also ordered two beers, two mixed drinks and dessert. The dessert was absolutely delicious! What made the occasion even more special was our Server, Jetmira! The Manager said she's been employed there for over 20 years. I can understand why. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.

Natalie was really amazing, helpful, and super cheery! Cava ended up opening late at 11:30 instead of 10:30, but Natalie and Jesse quickly accommodated my group of 5 without any issues.
