My first time to CAVA. I was a little nervous about whether I'd find something to eat when I noticed the spicy greens, spicy chicken and spicy lamb meatballs on the menu board, fiery broccoli on the toppings menu, and crazy feta on the dips. Since I was looking for a quick meal before we ran off for a show, I decided on the build your own pita, and kept to the included proteins this time around, although I was tempted by the braised lamb. I was glad to see that they gave the option to go half and half on the base and the main as I'm a variety type of gal. For my pita dinner, it was eggplant, hummus, tzatziki for my 3 dips, fire-roasted corn, tomato + cucumber, tomato + onions, Persian cucumbers for my unlimited toppings, grilled veggies and falafel for my halves of protein (could have gone with chicken too for the same price but I was gaming for veggies), and she won me with the garlic dressing recommendation. Dinner was a delightful wet mess due to my tendency to overfill. Their pita was joyfully one of those thicker sort that I prefer. If you need to visit their bathroom, ask a worker for the code. read more

I love Cava but this place was not it. I popped in to pick up my birthday treat and the cashier was so incredibly rude like she didn't wanna be bothered. All she had to do was explain how to redeem it instead of looking at me exacerbated. All she said to me was go on the app. I purposely waited for there to be no line before I asked so she could help me but she couldn't be bothered. Also, the store was unkempt. There were enough counter seating but it was dingy. The bathroom was clean though. read more

I built my own bowl with romaine and brown rice base. A scoop of eggplant, tzatziki, and harissa, which was unexpectedly spicy! Definitely worth the price because you can add as many toppings (corn, tomatoes, cucumber, broccoli, cabbage, etc) as you want. The line moves very fast. Such a convenient location walkable from Harvard's campus, but the organization of this location is a bit lacking. I placed an order online and after the pickup window passed, the staff hadn't begun making the queue of pickup orders. The interior is nice and bright but they could use more staff and better processes! read more

I understand that it may be a popular and busy location being next to Harvard but I could not believe how unwelcome I felt as I ordered my food and paid. And the shop was empty at the time. This location has terrible vibes. I tried to pick up an order for my brother who was waiting in the car outside. First of all, the order was late for pickup. I told them what name the order was under and they refused to give me the order without seeing the phone receipt. I explained to them again that it was for my brother (who couldn't text while behind the wheel of a car), told them the name, they still argued and refused. I'm not trying to steal food--the distrust of customers is crazy. Plus the bathroom reeked of smoke AFTER a food handling employee left the bathroom. So gross. read more

Made my order with the wrong protein and refused to remake it when I took it back to the restaurant (uneaten). They said I had to re order + pay if I wanted something different so I spent $20 on a bowl I couldn't eat. Very disappointing. read more

CAVA - Spicy Bowl - Mediterranean Near Me - Cambridge, Massachusetts

I'm forever loyal to my beloved Cava, but this location fell short for me - maybe I'm biased to my fidelity to the Fenway location, given its proximity to my university. I placed a mobile order that was ready quickly, which was fantastic. The employees were very nice, as well! However, I noticed that my order wasn't shelved with the remaining mobile orders, despite my arrival about five minutes after it was ready. Not a problem to go up to the counter for it, though. After I started eating, I noticed a lack of both chicken and red pepper hummus. My protein option was half chicken and roasted vegetables, and I noticed a significantly higher veg to chicken ratio which was extremely disappointing. I got red pepper hummus and a light amount of the garlic herb dressing, but I noticed more of the dressing than the hummus. This was incredibly disappointing for me. It tasted good though, and everything else in my order seemed accurate. Maybe I'm just a little nitpicky? Regardless, I'm planning on staying loyal to my Fenway location. Online orders are NEVER on time. Poor customer service and no much sense of urgency. Too bad because the food is great.

Overall love the other CAVA locations but this one. Never get my orders right. Food was good but could've been better with actually ready the ticket. It's a great location but honestly they need to be better to read the orders and not mess it up every time. read more

Not too much seating here, but otherwise a pretty standard Cava location with great staff and the usual selection of fresh food. Great for a quick lunch or dinner. There was a little bit of feta cross contamination I noticed in the hummus. A concern for vegans trying to get food at non vegan establishments, but nothing we aren't used to already and accept the risk for. Would definitely still return just because I love the flavors and customization options at Cava. read more

Upon entering, I felt as if I was an inconvenience to two employees at the serving station. I proceeded to order a bowl. The employee did not say a word as they took my order. I asked for the fried pita chips and then had to remind the employee ringing me up that I had ordered them. I have been to this location and several other Cavas and every time I have received a military/first responder discount. When I asked the employee ringing me up he said sharply that they did not offer it there. The food was good, but the portions were much smaller than I feel are normal, and the ice machine was broken (which I feel I should have been when I asked for a fountain drink). Not a horrible experience, just felt like it left quite a few things to be desired. read more

Food was overall pretty good but nothing insanely good, but what made this experience good was a server named Mike who was very accommodating as it was our first time in CAVA and he took us through all the steps and even gave some recommendations.
