It really pains me to leave this review for CAVA, a place that a friend introduced me to that I quickly grew fond of. (I used to be a Chipotle addict and this place has split that addiction in half. Now its either Chipotle or CAVA for a quick meal) The food is always on point. I haven't felt the freshness has dwindled like other people have said in their reviews, but I do agree that they are out of stuff more times than I would like. My go-to is a Harissa chicken bowl with my own fixings with the garlic and skhug sauce. Now, to the main reason why I left this review. I went last Saturday, February 25th. Mind you, this was my first meal of the day at around 1:40pm. I had just gotten done playing basketball for 2 hours and was famished. When I tell you I had to wait in line for 50 minutes, I'm not exaggerating. I got home right before 3pm and my house is not even a 5 minute drive from CAVA (even with the Saturday mall traffic.) Now, I would understand if it was busy and the workers were working their tails off. That's where the problem lies. These workers are SLOW. I mean, Zootopia DMV sloth kind of slow. The line wrapped around past the door and these workers were walking around, with negative levels of urgency. They were blaring their music, humming along and just enjoying their time while the patrons impatiently waited. Not a single drop of sweat was spilled that day. I never really say this, but this place needs to fire every worker that worked that day and/or retrain them. It's actually ridiculous that I had to spend 50 minutes in line. (50 minutes is enough time for me to sit down at a decent restaurant and enjoy a decently priced meal, and enjoy my food all while a server took nice care of me.) Until I see reviews of better customer service on Yelp, I don't know if I can even step foot into this CAVA anymore. I'd rather take my chances with Blaze next door or Chipotle a minute away. read more

I waited 25 min in the store to get my online order that I ordered and gave them 15-20 min before I got to the store, I was watching them make it while it was half done in the back counter and sat there for another 10 min.When I finally got it and took a bite, the chicken and the meat balls was super cold like it just came out the refrigerator and not heated up properly, I was here 1 other time and the wait and management is very bad at that time too it was back in 2021. Shouldn't have tried it again but I was thinking it was a different management. Don't waste you time and possible food poisoning with this location. read more

The service was embarrassingly bad when I went. The cashier was very rude and unhelpful. I do not mind waiting, but employees were moving very very slow, almost like it was on purpose. The food was superb. I want to go back for the food , but I am afraid of the service. The food is incredible! I ordered the Crispy Falafel Pita Wrap, Lentil Avocado Bowl, and a side of Saffron Rice. All I can say is WOW. The explosive flavors make your tastebuds water. I was amazed by the quality ingredients and unique combination of textures and ingredients. Pickles surprisingly pair well with falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, and other Mediterranean classics Unfortunately, they were out of many staples, so I didn't get the full experience. It seems like this location was understaffed and inexperienced. The counter space was cluttered and disorganized. Cava (Buford) is evidently popular, because many customers were lined up, but it took far too long for a to-go order (at least 20-25 minutes). All that being said, I'll be back for more! I would give this location 0 stars if I could. I came into this restaurant in a very good mood, and I left extremely upset. The woman who made my food would not say a single word to me, and the person who took my money walked away while I was paying. I also work in the service industry, and that is why I know that the service I receive today is so far below standard that it may as well be on the floor. I will not be returning to this location, and I encourage other people to avoid it as well. Do better, and maybe try answering your phone so people don't have to leave reviews like this online. My wife and I have eaten here on multiple occasions. We love the food most of the time... but the last two times we have gone, the customer service has been ATROCIOUS. The most recent time, we were there well before closing and the employees told us they were out of multiple items and wouldn't be making more. And they acted like we were bothering them for asking about staple items. Out of roasted veggies at 7:45pm? She literally huffs, rolls her eyes, then she lies and says the reason for not getting more items is, "It's just us working"... pointing to her and the other person working the line. The manager and 2 more staff emerge within minutes, but none bring assistance or additional items to the line... The manager does find us and apologize and even brought us a gift card to make up for the inconvenience...ensuring us that this employee was going to be dealt with and be out the door soon. Fast forward to about two weeks when we decided to give them another shot. We walk in the door, as we have many times. The same girl is on the line! She sees us, rolls her eyes and leans over to her friend and stage whispers, while nodding her head at us, "They are so mean." If you call asking for food that you are paying for, mean? I guess that makes 95% of people mean... I'd recommend spending your hard earned cash VIRTUALLY ANYWHERE but CAVA. read more

He did a very messy job with my bowl, rushed the customers and acted quite grumpy. Was very excited to try this place. Very disappointed. At 7:30pm and they close at 10 they were out of avocado, feta cheese and right rice. The lamb meatballs were cold the wrap was messy and soggy. My friend ordered the salad with falafel. The falafel was cold and not crispy. They said they were out of feta but as soon as we sat down they brought a container with feta. Spoke to the manager and all she could say was "my bad". Too bad Zoe's left they were so much better. Will not be eating here again! read more

Update from my recent post.....Inconsistent and poor service. Just called the Snellville location and confirmed that an additional sauce could have been purchased on the side for $0.25. I was declined extra at Buford when the containers were half full and, so I offered to purchase a to go sauce and was told they couldn't sell it to me. Snellville even mentioned that I could have gotten the extra sauce in my bowl...Buford told me it was one or the other. I know this may seem petty but I buy bowls here weekly and I don't play when it comes to my food and service. read more

Customer service at this place has gone down to the ground honey some of the new hires are rude just stare at you when you walk in and don't say nothin. I came in got a bowl and pita chips and it was not busy AT ALL it was bout 7 of them snitches working back there and I was the only one in line and I'm sitting at the register and I can see the boy in the back makin the chips and he's looking at them as he realized he burnt them and I can see from the register them thangs was BURNT to capacity honey. Yet he still decided to serve them anyway and I was shaking my head the whole time cause they probably throw away enough food at night to feed a small family so it's not going to kill them to re make something if you already seen you made it wrong. I didn't say anything cause everyone makes mistakes and I hate complaining but that was disappointing to me. Why wait for the customer to complain why not just bring them out and say we accidentally burnt these chips to maximum capacity would you like us to make you some new ones or do you want these ( the burnt ones) and since I'm nice I would have just ate the burnt ones but don't play me for a fool cava thinking you gon hand me some burnt crusted toenail looking thangs in a bag and and act like everything is peaches and sunshine. If they think I'm finna sit back and eat them burnt volcanic ash looking chips and let them disrespect the Hernandez family name like that, they better think again. PERIOD. Poorly run and over priced. The higher ownership that also owns Zoe's made a poor decision replacing most locations with a Cava. The food is over priced and mediocre. The portions are worse than chipotle! The staff here is poorly managed and has no pep in their step... By the time you get rung up there's still no lid on your bowl, your food is cold before you're out the door...bad bad bad , don't waste your money. Drive to Duluth and go to Zoe's instead. read more

DREADFUL. We'd been driving for 9+ hours and ordered our food online 30 minutes ahead of time. We arrived 3 minutes before it should have been ready and had to wait another 30 minutes. There were only 3 other parties in the entire place. And to top it all off the food was ice cold, too include the meat on each of our meals (we had pitas and two grain bowls). Now we are hoping we don't end up with food poisoning for the remainder of our road trip. This place needs to be shut down. read more

I like cava as a restaurant but this location for some reason has problems. They definitely take the crown for level of incompetence where an employee will stare at you with a blank face as if you'd asked the to solve a master physics level problem in place of a simple "do you have more tahini Caesar dressing in the back." I'd almost be okay with the level of mediocrity displayed and the sloppy wraps and salads if only they ever had anything available in their "unlimited" toppings section. I guess unlimited is an easy claim if we were ever to have anything at all. Be it a lack of training or lack of management or something along the lines, this is the only cava I've ever had these issues almost every time I've been there which is unfortunate since it is nearby my home. I'd spend my money elsewhere if I were you as this just feels bad going in building half your bow or wrap and then not having anything to finish it. I came here thinkibg I was going to Zoes. I was surprised to find that all Zoes are switching over to be CAVAs. I would have been disappointed were it not for the fact that I got a great pita wrap out of it. This new format is either build-your-own or choose from a streamlined menu of specific wraps and/or salads. I went with a build-your-own pita, and it was absolutely delicious. The pitas were fresh and tasty. They were also very generous with my choices. I tried the spicy lamb meatballs and loved it. I think I actually like this better than Zoes. The process is smoother and it's a more focused approach to the menu. I'll definitely come back. read more

This place was worth the wait! I'd been eagerly waiting for Cava to open and came on the very first day. We ordered a family meal at 730pm To go and everything was great. Customer service and food, my family was really impressed. Skug and lemon tahini hit the spot with our bowls....We also tried one of each of dessert and we love the cookie/brownie mix. read more

Today my granddaughter and I enjoyed our first meal at the brand new CAVA located in the former Zoe's location. This was a soft opening and it was all hands on deck. The food was a Mediterranean vibe. We both had bowls. You can select rice and/or grains as a base, then select sauces, protein, toppings, and finally a dressing. I think I overdid it a bit with trying so many new tastes. All were delicious but some over powered others. I got the spicy meatballs- not too spicy but more of a kick than the plain ones. The pita chips were yummy! The drink choices were very different from anything I'd had before. We took samples of many of them and they were all very tasty. read more

I just spent $31 dollars for 2 bowls and the cashier had the nerve to give me one sauce for each bowel. I had to bring it too her attention that I would need both of the two sauces for each bowl. When asked to put in a little more in the tiny container, she mentioned something about the company policy is one ounce. The little container was under 1/2 full....who does this?? I asked to purchase an extra and was told that it wasn't an option. Don't get me wrong, I love Cava, but I hate how inconsistent this location is.....its always something. One of my bowl had double meat, so I don't understand why I couldn't get the sauce that I've had no problems getting in the past......The cashier mentioned that it's not her policy and that she didn't come up with the rules. I came here on community day/soft-opening day or whatever you want to call it. The staff here are great! They're very informative with their menu and what they have to offer. Cava is Greek Mediterranean food served like Chipotle. You will get in line and select either a bowl or pita wrap. Everything there is organic and fresh! I ordered online so I won't speak on the staff as I had little to no interaction with them. But I got the tzatziki, and pita chips as well as the tahini Caesar and to drink the cucumber mint lime. And all I can say is it was so delicious but not very filling. The salad is incredible small it's as if inflation hit and only effected the lettuce cause there was barely any lettuce. I had to dilute the drink as it was a little to sweet for me but it mixed really well with water so no complaints. My order was scheduled to be ready at 12:45 I got there about 12:55ish and it was there waiting for me. I got my drink and was a very smooth pick. I can't say if I'll be returning probably not unless I order in.I might try to re create this salad at home with actual lettuce. I think it would be more cost effective and I'd have a more filling meal. As I didn't eat the pita when it was hot and fresh they were still extremely delicious room temperature. I'll probably go back just for the pitas that's the shining star of this meal. Kinda sad I wasted calories on this food and money. read more
