The crowd tends to skew much older, and the bartenders came across like they were annoyed to have customers there. (Ladies nobody cares about your drama )Everyone has bad days, but attitude matters in hospitality. The food was honestly disappointing. I had to send my meal back because it wasn't what I ordered, and the quality overall has gone downhill compared to years ago. At this point it feels like Marina Bay restaurants are leaning more on the waterfront location and than on service or food quality and bad attitudes The view is still beautiful, but that only carries a restaurant so far. Would not recommend.

Essentially the menu consists of salads with proteins and add-ons and stirfry with proteins and…read moreadd-ons. The food here is flavorful, the ingredients fresh, and the menu items are modifiable to meet a specific flavor, profiles of each customer. For instance, if you order a spicy chicken stirfry, and you want to add shrimp you can. If you want to eliminate the pineapple from the spicy stirfry dish with whatever protein you have chosen, you can do so. My daughter and I got two separate stirfry dishes. I tested out the spicy garlic egg white noodle stirfry with chicken, broccoli, bell peppers, pineapple parsley, and a spicy garlic sauce. It was pretty good. I wouldn't say excellent, but I definitely would eat here again if I were in the area and this was one of the available options. My daughter got the garlic butter stirfry with egg, white noodles, shrimp, scallions, Snow, peas, mushrooms, sesame seeds, and chili crisps with butter sauce. She thought that that food was good and would rank it higher than I would have. She said she would definitely like to come back so the overall rating that I gave this restaurant reflects our combined opinions. The ambience is clean and bright. Perhaps one of the things I like the best about this place is that there wasn't an over abundance of items on the menu but the items that were there are ones that typically people would like like shrimp or chicken or just vegetables and you could add spice or sweetness or both if you wanted to. The portion sizes were decent for lunch, but not sufficient for leftovers for most people. I left feeling satisfied and full, but not sickly full the way you would if you ate something that was lots less healthy perhaps cheeseburgers and french fries.

Now that I am leaving the state soon, I am in the middle of a mad dash to try all the places that…read moreI've mentally bookmarked before I am a thousand miles away. With this comes the anxiety that I will discover a mind-blowing place and kick myself for not heading in sooner. Thus, a disappointing experience doesn't hurt *quite* as bad. However, the foodie in me doesn't care about relocation... he cares about food. Lured in by reviews of my peers, I tried the Tokenfire Colada and the Ribeye Steak. The Colada seemed interesting and unique, and the steak looked mouthwatering in the pictures. Tokenfire Colada - This one was very sweet, peanuty, extremely creamy, and a little savory. The thickness kept it from being refreshing, and I am not sure if I would call it boozy either. Usually with cocktails I sip and sip until it's all gone well before the halfway point, like popcorn in a movie theater where the bag is gone by the end of the trailers. Then there was the Ribeye Steak. I don't know... something about one of the photos here possessed me to order it, though I almost never order steak at a restaurant (gosh knows why). The wait for this thing was considerable, more than I would expect for a medium-rare piece of meat, especially when it wasn't that busy. I can only imagine if all tables/bar seats were full and there was a waitlist! Eventually the steak made it to me, but... was it worth it? No, it was worth neither the wait, nor the money it cost. First, rather than being cooked medium-rare as requested, it was more a medium-well, at best. Second, some of the steak was extraordinarily chewy. Third and finally, I found it rather bland, while some salt was used in seasoning, this was very light. The steak came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. These two were also bland, and so forgettable I didn't remember them until I went to upload the photo of the dish. Finally, there is the question of vibe. It feels like a place with light tavern influences. Not at all bad to spend a couple hours. However, as a small quip, the purple/violet LEDs fly in the face of said vibe. Thus, we are left with a thoroughly underwhelming experience where I begrudgingly finished my items because I am not someone who likes to send food back. I am only glad I tried Tokenfire in that I won't regret never trying it.
