This is a location made for minimal human interaction. You can eat on site, indoors or out, but it's mostly designed for quick takeout orders. It's called a "Digital Kitchen" for a reason. Order online or on the app, grab, and go. For fresh and fast meal in the area, it doesn't miss. If you want a more experiential dining opportunity, ambiance, or hands-on experience, this isn't for you. read more

I tried out this digital kitchen and was pleasantly surprised. The space is spotless and feels brand new, and ordering online is easy (use a web browser or get the app). My food was ready lightning fast. It's tucked away in the Arboretum, and the big oak trees around the building give it a calm, scenic vibe you wouldn't expect from a grab-and-go spot. It was quiet when I stopped in, and with free Wi-Fi, it ended up being a great place to enjoy lunch and get work done. Overall, a super convenient and surprisingly relaxing experience. I'll be back. read more

July 17, 2025 review: ---- I got the catering done from this place. Food was good but experience - not so good. 1. I called multiple locations, I was first told you need an app, then one of location told me that West lake is the only location that takes the catering order but they wouldn't pick up my phone. I was able to get the catering manager number, left voicemails too but no call ever got returned. 2. I had called them in advance and asked to mark each single bowl. But still almost 10% of the bowls were not marked. Now since I knew my order quantity, I could figure it out. Also the way they packed it, some of the lid got open and wasn't perfectly sealed, till the food came to me. 3. I called probably 5-6 times in the days following food delivery, each time I'll talk to someone who will they will send me receipt but I never got one. Can you imagine paying over 500 dollars but not able to get a receipt after multiple days of order. I can get a receipt for 1 dollar item but can't get one for catering? That was completely unacceptable. That's why reducing stars. Keeping it for 2 for the food. Btw, falafel balls and sauce are much better at the kebab shop. read more

Picked up Cava from this digital kitchen pickup location after a nearby meeting. I have never been to this area before, but it was so nice! Easy to park right in front and place my order on my phone. It was ready in 10 minutes. Our bowls were stacked full! This was the best cava bowl I've had in a long time. It was actually correct and there was a good portion of each ingredient. I love getting a huge salad here with falafel and veggies. There is no service here since you have to order on your phone, but whoever is working in the kitchen is doing a great job. I will stop here again if I'm passing through! read more

This is a mobile app CAVA only. I did not have the app. Scan the QR code to order. They did not bother to create a location specific QR code. Enter in the zip code. Not a valid address. Type in 10000 Research, not a valid address. Asked my GF if she really wants CAVA because I don't want to support them if I cannot have the food made in front of me or have someone take my order. read more

Do not come here if you want easy ordering and a quick lunch. You can not order in person and you need to create an account just to order. So you need to give them your address and personal info just to order. I like their food, but I won't ever go to an in store location. read more

Contract to other reviews, I actually like the idea of having a digital only. It helps avoid confusions/ screaming in lines and they can keep the food fresher. However , I hate downloading apps though so it could be helpful to have a website version for those not wanting to download an app. Another point for improvement is to have a notification for when your food is ready. We went during prime time and it's a little difficult to hear people call out names. However the people working here are super friendly! I think because everything is digital, it makes them want to talk to people more. The food is always fire. The chicken is so yummy and the pita is good and warm. I like the bowls here but the wraps are good too. The spicy harissa has a bit of a bite, but def manageable. I'm not the biggest fan of the crazy feta but that's bc I don't care for feta. Will most likely be back! read more

This is about the third time this location has messed up my order. Every single time, either my salads or protein are missing, and I am unable to go back or call during work hours to get it corrected. On top of that, I've had no success getting my money refunded. The only reason I continue ordering from this location is because it's the closest to my work, but the level of incompetence is beyond frustrating. Please address this issue immediately--quality and accuracy matter, and this repeated carelessness is unacceptable. On top you can't even call the location to let them know they messed up! read more

Visit elsewhere. No customer service. App download required. To be clear, I'm a fan of CAVA's other locations -- not this one. Rebel against this concept which actively removes humanity and community from the last few remaining experiences in our daily lives. CAVA is better than this. If they want to have ghost kitchens, fine, but please place them in a random warehouse, not in the middle of a popular shopping center. Two thumbs down (this location). read more

I am a true cava lover at this point, they have never done me wrong! This location is online only which made me nervous but I think the portions were very similar to in person portions. The ingredients were very fresh and delicious! I recently discovered the pita chips, these were a bit too seasoned with salt and pepper but still great! They do have some indoor and outdoor seating although it is online only. It was also fast service! read more

Took me over 35 minutes to get my order. Saw staff walking from kitchen to workspace handling food with no gloves

I'm visiting my son in Austin while my apartment in Galveston recuperates from the hurricane. He suggested this restaurant as one that would be healthy for my diet. What a great choice! It's an interesting concept - one I haven't seen before. You order on your phone. Pick up in the store and take home or eat in the restaurant. I ordered the "Create Your Own" Greens and Grain bowl, with romaine, saffron Basmati rice, Tzatziki, harissa honey chicken, fire roasted corn, avocado, and balsamic Date Vinaigrette. A side pita, brownie, and strawberry citrus for my drink. The bowl was delicious - would definitely get again. Not a fan of the brownie. It was ok, but not my preferred type of brownie. Maybe it was a healthy version? It was very small and not sweet. I don't mind the small, but it needed more flavor for me. Otherwise a good experience. I will definitely go again. read more

We have started using Cava Great Hills often to feed our team during staff meeting. Every time it is a HIT! We have done catering and had the option where you pick all the toppings and then can build your own bowl, and we have also gotten individual bowls. Both options have been delicious. I had to change an order recently and Tammye was such a help! I highly recommend their catering options. read more

As others have noted, this is a "Digital Kitchen" concept, so be prepared for that. Though you could "dine in", there are tables, it's not really designed for that, and the decor is... lacking. You don't interact with anyone at all, The orders are placed in the app, and they're prepared and packaged, waiting to be picked up when you arrive. It's really an interesting option, and honestly, I'd like to see more of them. But how's the food? In a word, delicious, I've had take-out probably five times now, and it's always been excellent and exactly as I ordered. The ingredients are plentiful and fresh, including meats and vegetables. and the proportions are always right. I really like the lamb meatballs and spice harissa; I think I could almost make a meal out of those. The ambiance is, well, as mentioned above, kinda non-existent. So just place your order, get it, and go somewhere else to eat it. You'll be glad you did! read more

This place is extremely frustrating. A friend and I went in one afternoon and there were no employees (I believe they were all in the back) we had never been and it seemed that you can only place orders through an app and not in person. we tried to read the led display for any directions, having to wait to let the screens cycle through info, we finally realized that no one would help us and they had no idea we were even there and this was infuriating and difficult. we left. never again. Why do all of this when someone is hungry... Cava make people hangry. P.S. after some time we were on another outing and decided it sounded good and didn't remember the whole mess from before, we went in... SAME scenario.. no greeting or employee in sight.. had to watch the led screen to tell us how to run the obstacle course to order food on an app. We realized that this had happened before and quickly exited because we just wanted to eat and cava is like no.. you must pass a test to eat here read more

Digital only, so must have the app to order. No digital signage about where or when your order will be ready. Be more like Dominos to be helpful to customers. Orders need to be ready when they're supposed to be. I'm now late for my next meeting because my order isn't on time. Honestly not sure if and why I'd ever order here again. read more

Although I do recommend Cava, I don't like the lack of atmosphere in the place. The waiting and eating area are without any decor except a few uninformative ads. Take your food to go. As for the quality of the food, It's spot on, GREAT! Pricey but really good. When you order online, don't expect to get your food when the app says it will be ready. They are painfully slow depending on who the manager is that day. However, be patient and enjoy the anticipation. Management, maybe some belly dancers while we wait? read more

The food was really good but the service was absolutely terribble. I get the whole "digital experience" but it was annoying that I couldn't refill my drink without waiting at the counter for two minutes. Also multiple employees literally passed me and looked at me without asking if I needed help. After ordering it took a long time to get our food. read more

Such great tasting food! I love that you can build your own bowl. The ingredients taste fresh and there are lots of options available. The roasted eggplant dip and red pepper hummus are absolutely delicious and must haves in every bowl! But the real star is the Skhug! You must try this! The name may be odd but the flavor is on point. Spicy goodness! My only gripe is that it's $12. But with that price tag, it's at least very filling. read more

CAVA - Custom Greens + Grains Bowl - Salad Near Me - Austin, Texas

THIS IS THE BEST CAVA IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! It's an all digital location, which is fine because who doesn't mobile order anyways? The bowl was FAT. Crazy large portions, piping hot, all sauced up. Order came out right on time, great service, outdoor seating is a good plus. 10/10. read more

They should advertise that this is a digital only place. It's very frustrating to have to download an app in store, increasing the time it takes to get your food and having to create an account etc. I would not go back due to how inconvenient this was and the fact that nobody was there to help us when we didn't know what to do. read more

The Digital Kitchen version of CAVA would have been great during the Pandemic, but people have moved on from COVID now There is no interaction with anyone and the walls are painted a dark color. You order on their APP, walk into the pickup area, and walk out with your food. You can stay there and sit at mostly empty store tables. The culinary experience is a bit too futuristically sterile for me. I recommend going to the larger CAVA eatery where there are people and lots of activity. The food is good, but if you want to "people watch" or talk to someone, this is not your place read more

Had an issue with this location before but they seem to have turned things around. I'm glad because I love Cava!

CAVA is one of my favorite places to get food, especially dining at lunchtime. Understandably, there can be a rush if you come into a restaurant and order your food. However, I was disappointed in the fact that I had ordered my food ahead, and chosen from their available time but was unable to pick up my food when I went in and had to wait 30 minutes to receive it. I was inside with 20 people all of who had ordered but I was glad there were tables and chairs because of how long it took. I have a fairly long lunch but for someone who has a short one they would've been late returning to work. It was disheartening after 30 minutes to hear the employees in the back saying 'we have caught up' while I continued to wait for my order. I had to eat my food quickly before starting my meetings and couldn't truly take my time to enjoy it. I hope that over time this establishment will get better and at least have somebody come out as they're dropping off the orders to apologize for the wait or let us know that they're working as quickly as possible. I would have let this go if I hadn't put my order in ahead of time but also, there was no way for me to cancel my order so I could go somewhere else. As always the food was good. read more

CAVA - Custom bowl - Salad Near Me - Austin, Texas

This is a digital kitchen. Placed order online which was not really user friendly because every premade item was "out of stock" however, if you select custom build you will find that you can get most of what you want in the bowl. Taste is good. I do like CAVA a lot but the digital kitchen just isn't it. I prefer to see my bowls made. Ingredients were skimped on forsure. Also the entire bowl came out to almost $16 dollars. Overpriced 100% Would i come again? Maybe if im craving mediterranean but it will be rare. read more

I was staying at the hotel next door, I saw Cava was close but I didn't really know what it was. The digital kitchen concept is new to me. However, Maria told me how the menu works and I downloaded the app and it was pretty quick. Everything was really colorful and I had enough left over for dinner. read more

This is a "Digital Kitchen" concept. A few things: it's a bit hard to find. Second, just like other fast casual spots, when you order online or by the app, the portions are minuscule and there's no one to talk to. Skip this CAVA and find one with real service. read more

The worst CAVA I ever seen, you can't even see the display, or you can't order if you don't have credit card and phone, very small interior, take too much time, Food quality might be same. read more

Cava is my jam! I'm obsessed with the whipped feta and spicy lamp meatballs. I love creating my own bowl so I can get those two things. But the pre-curated bowls never disappoint either. This place is amazing! I've been eating here for months now. Always fresh and ready on time. I always get the spicy lamb meatball pita.

App only. Ordered at 4:30 (in store) and waited until 5:15. I would have walked out but there is no way to cancel my order. And then the food came out missing the extras that I paid for. Sucks to see this read more

Cava has recently become one of my favorite places to eat. Stumbled on this location on accident. When I arrived I noticed it was not a traditional location where you can just walk in and order, instead you order via the cava app. I was a little hesitant at first but once my order was placed it was ready within minutes and my order was correct. Although it is a digital location this location they by far have the best customer service. read more

I'm a big cava fan put I probably won't be back! It's an online order set-up so it's slower than regular cava. The portion is way smaller!!! Go to a regular one if you want to get your money's worth! read more

Love their food, but the portion sizes at this location are 50% smaller than the Westlake location. Our bowls weren't even 1/2 full.
