    Catering items arranged

July 17, 2025 review: ---- I got the catering done from this place. Food was good but experience - not so good. 1. I called multiple locations, I was first told you need an app, then one of location told me that West lake is the only location that takes the catering order but they wouldn't pick up my phone. I was able to get the catering manager number, left voicemails too but no call ever got returned. 2. I had called them in advance and asked to mark each single bowl. But still almost 10% of the bowls were not marked. Now since I knew my order quantity, I could figure it out. Also the way they packed it, some of the lid got open and wasn't perfectly sealed, till the food came to me. 3. I called probably 5-6 times in the days following food delivery, each time I'll talk to someone who will they will send me receipt but I never got one. Can you imagine paying over 500 dollars but not able to get a receipt after multiple days of order. I can get a receipt for 1 dollar item but can't get one for catering? That was completely unacceptable. That's why reducing stars. Keeping it for 2 for the food. Btw, falafel balls and sauce are much better at the kebab shop.

Contract to other reviews, I actually like the idea of having a digital only. It helps avoid confusions/ screaming in lines and they can keep the food fresher. However , I hate downloading apps though so it could be helpful to have a website version for those not wanting to download an app. Another point for improvement is to have a notification for when your food is ready. We went during prime time and it's a little difficult to hear people call out names. However the people working here are super friendly! I think because everything is digital, it makes them want to talk to people more. The food is always fire. The chicken is so yummy and the pita is good and warm. I like the bowls here but the wraps are good too. The spicy harissa has a bit of a bite, but def manageable. I'm not the biggest fan of the crazy feta but that's bc I don't care for feta. Will most likely be back!

I am a true cava lover at this point, they have never done me wrong! This location is online only which made me nervous but I think the portions were very similar to in person portions. The ingredients were very fresh and delicious! I recently discovered the pita chips, these were a bit too seasoned with salt and pepper but still great! They do have some indoor and outdoor seating although it is online only. It was also fast service!

I'm visiting my son in Austin while my apartment in Galveston recuperates from the hurricane. He suggested this restaurant as one that would be healthy for my diet. What a great choice! It's an interesting concept - one I haven't seen before. You order on your phone. Pick up in the store and take home or eat in the restaurant. I ordered the "Create Your Own" Greens and Grain bowl, with romaine, saffron Basmati rice, Tzatziki, harissa honey chicken, fire roasted corn, avocado, and balsamic Date Vinaigrette. A side pita, brownie, and strawberry citrus for my drink. The bowl was delicious - would definitely get again. Not a fan of the brownie. It was ok, but not my preferred type of brownie. Maybe it was a healthy version? It was very small and not sweet. I don't mind the small, but it needed more flavor for me. Otherwise a good experience. I will definitely go again.

Although I do recommend Cava, I don't like the lack of atmosphere in the place. The waiting and eating area are without any decor except a few uninformative ads. Take your food to go. As for the quality of the food, It's spot on, GREAT! Pricey but really good. When you order online, don't expect to get your food when the app says it will be ready. They are painfully slow depending on who the manager is that day. However, be patient and enjoy the anticipation. Management, maybe some belly dancers while we wait?

The food was really good but the service was absolutely terribble. I get the whole "digital experience" but it was annoying that I couldn't refill my drink without waiting at the counter for two minutes. Also multiple employees literally passed me and looked at me without asking if I needed help. After ordering it took a long time to get our food.

Such great tasting food! I love that you can build your own bowl. The ingredients taste fresh and there are lots of options available. The roasted eggplant dip and red pepper hummus are absolutely delicious and must haves in every bowl! But the real star is the Skhug! You must try this! The name may be odd but the flavor is on point. Spicy goodness! My only gripe is that it's $12. But with that price tag, it's at least very filling.

CAVA is one of my favorite places to get food, especially dining at lunchtime. Understandably, there can be a rush if you come into a restaurant and order your food. However, I was disappointed in the fact that I had ordered my food ahead, and chosen from their available time but was unable to pick up my food when I went in and had to wait 30 minutes to receive it. I was inside with 20 people all of who had ordered but I was glad there were tables and chairs because of how long it took. I have a fairly long lunch but for someone who has a short one they would've been late returning to work. It was disheartening after 30 minutes to hear the employees in the back saying 'we have caught up' while I continued to wait for my order. I had to eat my food quickly before starting my meetings and couldn't truly take my time to enjoy it. I hope that over time this establishment will get better and at least have somebody come out as they're dropping off the orders to apologize for the wait or let us know that they're working as quickly as possible. I would have let this go if I hadn't put my order in ahead of time but also, there was no way for me to cancel my order so I could go somewhere else. As always the food was good.

I absolutely love the vibe of this place--it's definitely a high-end Mediterranean restaurant, perfect for special occasions. What really stood out was how beautifully everyone was dressed; it added to the upscale, elegant atmosphere of the entire space. The restaurant offers both indoor seating and a beautiful outdoor seating area, which really elevates the overall experience. The outdoor space, in particular, adds to the charm and makes it a great spot for a relaxed yet upscale evening. Since reservations weren't available, we decided to arrive early, expecting a long wait. Luckily, being a Sunday evening, it wasn't too crowded, and we were seated within about 20 minutes. For drinks, I ordered a Tender Robot Hazy IPA, while my husband went with the Verdant Mai Tai. I was a bit disappointed to learn they only serve canned beer and don't offer draft options, as I personally prefer draft beer and am not a big fan of cocktails, which tend to be too sweet for my taste. For the main course, I had the Heirloom Chicken Thighs, and my husband ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. Both dishes were cooked to perfection--flavorful, well-seasoned, and the meat was incredibly tender. That said, the portion sizes felt a bit small considering the price point. We ended the meal with the Sticky Date Cake, and it was hands down the best I've ever had--rich, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. Overall, we had a great experience. Between the beautiful ambiance, flavorful food, and exceptional service, it's a place I'd definitely return to. I'm giving it 4 stars mainly because of the lack of draft beer and the smaller portion sizes for the price, but it's still a fantastic spot worth visiting.

However, I'll think about coming here again because I didn't feel a good vibe with the service. We had to go look for someone to show us the table even though the place was empty for early lunch. Then, to get drinks or even the order was a problem. It took so much longer than usual. Our waitress was rude, and seemed bothered that we showed up. Then someone else came as the waitress and she was preoccupied with other tables and barely checked on us. A regular lunch which would've been one hour became almost two because of the lack of service. On the savory side, some dishes I've really enjoyed are the Mezze Platter, Beef and Lamb Doner, and Ribeye Steak Shish Kebab. Some of our favorite dishes we keep coming back for: Shredded beef (SO good), Baked fish (tender and not fishy), Garlic baked chicken (wonderful crispy skin), Fried chicken, Baked kafta, Kafta kebab, Gyro meat, Roasted cauliflower, Eggplant, Greek salad, Fatoush, Kale Caesar salad, Zaatar pizza, Cheese pizza (pro tip: top it with shredded beef- a life changing buffet hack), Rice with lentils, Rice with mixed veggies. Between me, my husband, and my mom, we have a lot of overlap in what we like to eat, but we also have some pretty distinct preferences, and Demassi's is one of those places where that works. My husband really loves Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food. I generally do not. I tend to find the meats too dry, I don't particularly like the spice profile, and I also find a lot of dishes in that category to be overly sour. It's hard to explain, but there's often a sharp, tangy acidity that I don't enjoy. For whatever reason, I don't have that issue at Demassi's at all. Here my husband can get his fix of dry, spiced meats, while I'm happy eating from the huge selection of rice dishes, cooked veggies, and soups. As far as protein goes, I actually really like the fish here, so I almost never eat the meat and still leave satisfied. It usually feels like a healthy pescatarian day for me, which I like. Then there's my mom, who just loves the abundance and variety of a buffet. She's happiest when she can sample a little bit of everything, build plates with lots of small bites, and then go back for more. Demassi's is perfect for that. On top of all of this, it's very reasonably priced, especially for lunch or on weeknights. It's always clean, the staff is consistently courteous, and they are really on top of bussing tables, which matters a lot to me at a buffet. Dirty dishes piling up are never an issue here. Overall, it's a solid, reliable spot for us and a place we're always happy to suggest when we're trying to please multiple people with different tastes.

The group was not what I would call big eaters so we had leftovers (we likely should have ordered 1 less dish), they recommend 2-3 dishes per person (dips and meze). The hummus was decent, but I would not feel the need to order it again, the bulgarian feta was delicious and was tied with best dish of the night with the falafel. The falafel had perfect texture, crispy on the outside without cutting your mouth and soft on the inside. The beet tahini just tasted like beets and nothing else so I would not get that again. The cucumber labne was tasty and the halloumi was the only dish I took a bite of and would not take another. The texture of the cheese was rubbery, so despite having a crunchy exterior and delicious sauce underneath, I found the halloumi to be extremely disappointing. I am not a chef, but if they simply grilled the halloumi and served it on top of the sauce I think it would be much better. Desserts are not my thing but my friends enjoyed it even though they admitted the baklava apple pie was painfully sweet. I liked that it came with labne ice cream to make it a bit different.
