Extremely disappointed. Staff is curt and standoffish. I asked the person serving me as to what's in the falafel wrap and she pointed at the small print menu on the wall and said it's written there. Only when I got annoyed and told her that her answer wasn't professional did she produce a written card with the ingredients. She simply didn't want to bother so instead of 15 seconds reply she wasted 3 minutes causing the line to backup and everyone was aggravated. Hard to believe that they call this mass produced hodgepodge food "Mediterranean". Not sure what kind of Chef came up with this menu but it's neither authentic nor tasty. Other than a couple of items that are Mediterranean in origin, it's a chipotle knockoff. Loud and disorganized place. They charged me $3 for 4 pieces of roasted sweet potatoes which they didn't tell me it's an add on. They ran out of ice and despite saying they are adding ice to the machine, I waited 5 minutes and no ice so I gave up. There are tens of authentic Mediterranean places in town to choose from. We walked in and were greeted well but as we were ordering and watching our food be prepared, I began to notice the enormous amount of caked on spillage throughout the entire line. I specifically noticed a very large amount of accumulated feta cheese in a particular area that looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks, let alone throughout the day. I began to look around other areas of the restaurant and noticed that there was filthy build-up near the register area and the drink station had straws, lids and napkins strewn about and again, the area had clearly not been wiped down in a while. I saw a group of employees in the back kitchen and one eating nearby on their break. As a manager myself, I was left wondering why no one was keeping up with the cleanliness of these areas. I thought to myself, "if this manager allows the front of the restaurant to look like this...I can only imagine what the back looks like; the part customers can't see. " My last straw was when the employee helping us with our order went straight from preparing our food to ringing us up on the register to rolling a pita all with the same gloves. Money areas and food should not be touched with the same gloves, period. So I requested the manager whom approached with no smile and didn't seem bothered by my complaints. Needless to say we didn't pay for or eat the food. I implored them to increase their cleanliness and sanitary practices and we left. Hopefully there is improvements. read more

I love healthy food, and was excited to have a new option in town, as there aren't many. Unfortunately their food doesn't taste good. My wife and I split two different bowls, and both were bland and dry. This location is busy. No way around it, cava is on the map and everyone wants a bowl. If you go out to a restaurant sometimes there is a wait, if you don't want to wait make a bowl at home. The food is great quality and not to mention hearty bowls, they do not skimp on what you ask for. 10/10 for me even though they are on the pricier side I definitely feel like I get my monies worth every time. We love CAVA and go to the Brodie Austin location often. I'd love to give it the 5 the food deserves. IMHO, it's the best quick casual food around. To clarify the 3 star review, the food is excellent! Always fresh and cooked just right. High marks for the folks preparing the food. It's the one's behind the glass that prevent me from scoring this place higher. Except on rare occasion, the people getting our order together are just flat, as if they would rather be doing anything other than getting your food. This kind of pervasive behavior starts from the top down. Everyone needs to go to Chick-filet, Dutch brothers, almost anywhere really!!! to see how customers should be greeted and served. It takes little effort to smile and be nice to paying customers who will look forward to returning for the atmosphere as well as the food. My girlfriend and I have always loved CAVA, so I was extremely disappointed after trying this location. We usually have it delivered, but decided to pick up today. When I approached the counter and told the cashier I was there for a pickup, she sarcastically said "Um, it's probably on the shelf with the other pickup orders" in a mocking tone. I understand food service can be frustrating, having been employed in those positions for years myself. However, it is no excuse to treat customers so rudely. Also, we were given the incorrect dressing on our food. Hopefully this was an isolated incident. As a rule of thumb, I LOVE Cava but this location has declined in quality very quickly. The staff for the last many months clearly give zero cares, the chicken is beat and they don't even follow online "on the side" preferences. The people here do not like making a plate and putting it on their pickup shelves. So if you were planning on putting a mobile order, don't be surprised if you get there and they ask if you have something showing that you put a mobile order. One of the people working at the counter asked to see something showing my name and that I had actually put an order. I show him my name in the app with the pickup time. Five minutes later someone else hands me the order... I never actually showed them what my order consisted of. Meaning my order was indeed there in their system but for some reason they acted like they didn't have it when i got there?? I can't help but think that if I did not produce an email or receipt showing that I had placed an order, they would have let me walk out of there having already paid for my order, but thinking that they didn't have it in their system for some reason... read more

Food is usually good in person. Takeout is a very iffy. We placed a curbside order a couple of days ago, picked it up, and drove 30 minutes to get home. When I opened it there was no chicken (which I'd ordered) No dressing, and only about a tablespoon of roasted vegetables (which I'd paid an upcharge for.) Basically what I got was chopped Kale and dry brown rice, with some feta thrown in. Total waste of money and too far to drive back. So disappointing. I meant to call them the next day and ask if they'd remake it next time I was in, but time got away from me and now it's probably too late for that. I'd recommend just ordering it on the spot (while you're watching them compose the bowl) or checking your takeout order before you leave the parking lot. read more

I really love Cava but this location really just needs to get their act together. As many other people have said, if you're ordering online or through a delivery service, the order never arrives complete or fully correct. This past time I was charged extra for avocado and I did not get avocado nor did I get any dressings.. the dressing MAKES the bowl! I thought this time after getting multiple wrong orders that I would give them a call after placing the order to make sure it arrives correct but I was unable to reach them. I know there are a lot of mixed reviews for this place but I personally really like Cava. I think its a better option compared to Chipotle or Freebirds. I love that this place has options for all dietary needs. You can get vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free options here and everyone will be happy. I tried the Right Rice and thought it was really good! Since I am vegetarian I always get the falafel which I think tastes great. My husband gets the Harissa Chicken bowl and loves it. Pro tip - we both think that the harissa sauce is the best! Do not go here if you are looking for a romantic night out, this place is more casual. I think it would be fine for a casual date though. Also, dont miss out on the fried pita chips, they are SO GOOD!! Oh and the teas are amazing too. I feel like if you only get the bowl you wont get the full experience. My favorite tea is the cucumber mint tea. Another thing that I like about this place is that for me, the portions are large and I usually have left overs for later. The tables were relatively full, so not like the place was empty, or near closing time, or anything obvious to prompt the attitude I got from this guy making my bowl that clearly hates his job/life/me. I have never felt like more of an inconvenience while ordering food, at a restaurant, with NO ONE else in line, than I did here tonight. I've been here quite a few times too so know the process and had no questions, but it's been a long day and I forgot to order my side pita at the beginning. When I asked for one after the dressing, you'd have thought I asked the guy to go cook me a fresh chicken with how annoyed he seemed to have to take one from the stack and put it in a paper sleeve. Again, zero line behind me. And how dare I expect a Mediterranean-ish restaurant to have cucumbers available several hours before closing, apparently that is just ridiculous. God forbid I want to scan my QR code for rewards, which wasn't working, so he had to input my phone number. My fault I guess. He literally just walked off after that, before I paid, and tossed my bowl to the side. I still can't believe this is acceptable behavior. Stars are only being given because the food is consistently good. There isn't another one nearby, so unless I'm downtown, I'll come back to this location, but will only order ahead for pickup so I don't have to interact with the employees. read more

CAVA is one of my favorite fasted casual restaurants. Lots of flavor and unique compared to many other restaurants in the area. Good portion sizes, friendly service. I like the regular chicken, but don't think the honey chicken is great or worth the upcharge. Falafel is also yummy. Highly recommend CAVA! read more

My son tried this place and he liked it, so I went ahead and placed an online order tonight. The menu is an absolute nightmare to negotiate, even if you want to order two or three sides, it cuts you off and you have to go back to the beginning to add something else. The food arrived on time, but almost everything was missing, $75 got me three pita breads all three stone cold, and all the sides missing. My main Pita was a lamb-based one, it was just a cold congealed lump of slop when I got it. Lesson learned, never ordering from this place again read more

This review is for the restaurant and their menu overall: I think the food is not that good. I LOVED Zoes Kitchen and was heartbroken when they closed it. I was optimistic when I found out that its replacement would be another Mediterranean fast food place. However, after trying out the food at CAVA, they're definitely no Zoes. Their chicken has a weird flavor and they do not have that delicious yellow rice that Zoes has (or Greek salad or grilled potatoes, etc). I also really dislike all their "more adventurous" menu options. I just don't think their food is good. It's almost like they're trying to be a Mediterranean Chipotle but for me, the flavors and offerings just aren't as good and comforting as Zoes. read more

We were really excited when they opened this closer location. I knocked off one star because whenever we order for pickup they always forget something. Today it was the sauce for our grain bowls.
