WAAAAAAAYYY OVERPRICED FOR A "HEALTHIER" VERSION OF CHIPOTLE!? PPPFT! Nothing special about this place. Just bland regular stuff you can make at home if you tried. Instead, save that money and go to Whole foods and make atleast 4 bowls at home then for what you pay for just 1 bowl. R.I.D.I.C.U.L.O.U.S! read more

Quality, great atmosphere, good service. Consistently CAVA restaurant in Gaithersburg, MD offers freshness and quality food. The prices are reasonable. The service is always professional and pleasant. I love going there for lunch with clients. My only suggestion, please work on your lighting. It is wayyyy tooo dark!!! read more

This place is Chipotles big unique cousin. I love Mediterranean food and this place rocks. The few times I've been here I've been impressed with the quick service (minus once when I ordered ahead and still had to wait 15 mins but I'll let it slide). They give massive portions so I always have 2 meals for the price of one (chipotle I'm looking at you. You skimp on the chicken, cava doesn't). Take advantage of all the free dips and toppings! You get a ton and it's easy to always get something different. Their hummus is bomb and so is their pita. Only issue I have had recently is that every time I get chicken it's cold. read more

I've eaten at this location enough times to give it a review. I still consider it a new location still, and I can tell that they've greatly improved trying to get through people as quickly as possible since the line tends to bulk up between 6-7pm. The workers are always very nice here, and you know they are doing their best to move you along. But honestly each time I've come, the serving portions are always different each time. One person might put so little of the greens and grains that I have to ask if they can put in more. They do this particularly when they are low on staff for the night, but I don't think that means you should compensate by giving people smaller portions so that you don't have to reload the rice pots and leaf crates. So it's really a hit or miss as to who you get to start your bowl off. Keep your portions consistent, please!! But the food itself is always stellar! I love coming here because of the food and the sauces/spreads. Definitely a win over Chipotle in that little plaza! Something odd to mention though...the pitas have always had a weird taste for me....they kinda tastes like paper....it's weird lol. read more

Update from last review (preview had 2 Stars ) and I'm barely giving it 3 at this point (currently 2.5). I went back after receiving a free meal from previous review which at some point when I was paying the lady was hesitant to take the free voucher. I got my usual which is braised lamb and spicy meatballs with rice. The meat was not as salty from previous which is good but the rice was not cooked all the way , some had crunch due to being undercooked. This time I came in at 11 which they had just opened 15 min prior. I didn't even finish the whole bowl ‍. read more

Truly as good as it gets for a quick lunch. On your first visit, you'll need to take some time to digest the menu options. It's the Chipoltle-ization of Mediterranean cuisine, and it's oh-so-good. The falafel was tasty, as were the chicken and meatballs. Been back a few times. Take your time ordering - there are many options. Everything's so fresh and delicious! Recommend getting the bowl with a side of "small pita" since the pita option seems sparser. But you'll be full either way for around $10-14, depending on your meat/drink options. It all is so fresh and what a great change of pace! read more

Food is consistently delicious. Lines are quick. Clean eating spaces. My only issue is the employees. They need some customer service training. Also the portions are not always consistent. read more

My husband is obsessed with Cava and I was always 'whatever' about it but recently I started changing up my order each time I go and the most recent time I went - I was so satisfied with my meal. I got the grains + greens with the Mesclun Mix, Saffron Basmati Rice, Black Lentils, Eggplant + Red Pepper, Tzatziki, Hummus, Grilled Chicken, Cabbage Slaw, Tomato + Onions, Pita Crisps, Quinoa, and Yogurt Dill, and Sriracha Greek Yogurt, and it comes with a mini pita on the side. Delicious & it's always busy! I also love their variety of beverages to choose from :) read more

LOVE! Can't wait to go back! This is an assembly-line type of place like Chipotle or Subway. You choose pita or salad or bowl with rice at the bottom, you choose protein, you choose veggies / add-ons, you choose sauces. The food was AWESOME. I tried one of the spicy lamb meatballs along with some chicken over super greens and safron rice with feta and onions and kalmata olives and other goodies and it was excellent. I love this Mediterranean flavor / style of food. They have an interesting variety of fountain drinks, not your typical Coke or Pepsi. I LOVED the bluberry soda. I might go back there just to get a refill of the soda. Prices were reasonable. Service was friendly and quick. My only complaints: 1. It's VERY popular and busy, so the line wraps around the restaurant. However, the line moves pretty quick. I didn't time it, but I did not feel like we waited for very long. 2. Did I mention it's VERY popular and busy? They don't have enough tables. The place was packed. Now, people were always coming and going, so we didn't really have to wait for a table because someone got up to leave just as we finished getting our sodas, but the table was dirty / needed to be wiped down. That's not Cava's fault though - they're just busy. I saw employees wiping down the counters and trying to keep the place clean. read more

I love this location, they are always happy and excited to take my order. The food is delicious. Thank you Cava Ashburn

CAVA - Doesn't necessarily look that great but exploding with flavor - Mediterranean Near Me - Ashburn, Virginia

Online orders are never on time at this location. They offer your a free a drink - what an insult. My time is worth more than $2.

Food was awesome! A different style of food needed for this area. I will be back! This is still a great spot. The food is awesome and I love the atmosphere. The only downside so far is after being open for several months they still do not serve beer which is frustrating! Why!? read more

Cava Mezze/Cava Mezze Grill are my favorite chain restaurants in the DC area and soon to be in NYC!!! I usually get a salad with half chicken and half spicy lamb. You have to try the spicy lamb if you are a carnivore, its amazing! You get a mini pita with a salad which is the perfect size for me since I don't care for bread very much. I get all the veggies and have to say they are all good. I have yet to go to a cava location where I wasn't satisfied with the quality of product. I cannot vogue for the falafel as I am allergic but my partner who is strictly vegetarian loves it!!! This is a place where you can come in quick to grab and go or stop by with friends and chill outside for a nice casual meal. Vegetarians and meat eaters can eat in harmony here which is always good in my book! read more

Went there for a small bite with my wife. Got some deep fried pita that was very good. Hummus was fine (not exceptional) for a little plastic cup ( about 3-4 ounces). Avoid the warm , not hot? Lamb flavorless meatballs.Specialy burned on two sides? Where is the Health Department? Hot food temperature of at least 140f. Some excellent bottles grapefruit and lemon sodas ( I think made in Maine). At least I only got indigestion and not food poisioning, ( maybe next time)? read more

Generous portions, efficient line. The small menus are very helpful so you can figure what you want beforehand. A clean, organized layout of the store provides ample seating. I enjoy the high ceilings and how much light is in the place. Very nice service. read more

Absolutely love cava! This place is awesome for my vegan diet! It's already a quick stop. I'm in and out! The workers are friendly also.

This place is amazingly addictive. It set up like Chipotle but don't let that dissuade you because that line and all the picky people ordering in front of you are worth it for the food. I never eat in the restaurant because I have a theory all entrees are better with Netflix in my living room. I always get one of two things: spinach salad, chicken, regular hummus, red pepper hummus, tzatziki, kalamata, and vinaigrette on the side. OR Pita, braised lamb and all the same toppings. The side of pita is sooo amazing btw. Stay away from the health cookie :( at the register. It tastes like a healthy cookie which is :(. read more

My friends never been to Cava before and the front person made fresh rice to order even though we came in 45 minutes before closing. She gave us samples of the sauces and took her time so we were able to make the yummiest bowl ever. Most places before closing make you feel rushed or like you're bothersome but they were amazing and my friends are now cava lovers and order it near them. Great service! read more

This is a Mediterranean Chipotle. The only difference is they don't fill up the bowl with decent amount of protein and if you add extra protein, you will end up paying $15 for the fast food bowl. No doubt, the taste is amazing and they serve the quality food but I honestly think they need to work on their serving size to come up to Chipotle standard. The service is fast and the sitting set up is very casual. read more

OMG! This place is by far the best fresh food ever. I love a mixture of ingredients. They get you in and out. The fresh juices taste really good. read more

We've eaten here three times since they've opened and always leave wishing we had ordered extra food to take home. Everything is fresh, not overly seasoned or salty, and the prices are pretty decent. I always order the greens and grains with tzatziki and red pepper hummus, chicken, romaine, tomato + onion, cukes, feta, mint and yogurt dill dressing. YUUUMMM!!! It's not the prettiest of dishes once you mix that bad boy all together, but it certainly is tasty. They do not offer "regular" soda at the drink fountain but they do have a cucumber-mint drink that really goes well with the food. read more

It was my first time at Cava with my mom and sister today. The setting is just like chipotle but much better! The food is to die for, it's amazing. There Mediterranean food was so good, many options to choose from. The food was so fresh and worth eating there with your friends and family. The best part was this place is healthy. It's not as usual like going to a typical restaurant. The food was great my dish was perfect and the people there are super nice! I recommend dining there. We never did anything like this and we were so impressed read more

CAVA - Our meals - Mediterranean Near Me - Ashburn, Virginia

Cava has become a go to place locally for quick healthy lunch. The spicy lamb meatballs, crazy feta, and pickled onions are really good. It is faster to order online if you are wanting to take out. The parking lot gets full, and it is difficult to get in and out during the weekdays. Good food, moderate price, healthy choices. It is worth trying. read more

We love Cava but we will not go to this location anymore even though it's closest to my house. The prices went up and the serving size went down. Basically they sprinkle the rice in the bowl. Not even a full scoop. You must ask for three scoops of hummus or they will only give you one. Once I got all the way home to find out they had given me wrong bowl. Drove all the way back to get correct bowl(that had already gone home with someone else). Had to wait in line to have new bowl made. No apology. Told me it happens all the time. No complementary bowl. Nothing. My main problem is that you dont get the amount of food you should get for a $10 bowl. read more

Very disappointed. This was my first time coming here and people have raved about the food. I probably would have loved it, if I wasn't rushed by the staff and their eye rolls while deciding what I wanted and asking them questions. read more

Food and juice bar are delicious. Workers are friendly and seem happy to be there. Portions are big enough to save some for another meal. I did get undercooked chicken once, however the management took care of it quickly and comped our food as well as gave us a credit to come again! read more

It's Chipotle but with Mediterranean food. Service is relatively fast, even on a busy Saturday night. Prices are a tad high -- three bowls ran us $37. But it's tasty and seemingly healthy. read more

I just had the nicest experience placing an order for a friend of mine and her family to pickup at this location from way out in Colorado. I tried to place my order online, but after I typed it all in, their system kept freezing and not letting me get passed entering in credit card information. I called the store, they told me they don't accept orders over the phone but I could come in and get my food right away as they weren't currently busy. I explained that I lived in Colorado and was just trying to order 4 meals for a friend that had just had surgery to pick up in about an hour. They came back after a brief hold and allowed me to place the order manually over the phone. They were so sweet and patient and I really appreciated them going above and beyond for me with such a strange situation! Enoch, you are the best - thank you so much for the great customer service! read more

Ordered 3 rice bowls togo they forgot the pita bread for each bowl. The man behind the counter had a bad attitude, mumbled when spoke to us, wasn't helpful at all in giving us the name of each dip, meat etc. I was very unimpressed with the portion of meat given.. I asked for half veggie and half chicken and found 3 pieces of chicken. He seemed very annoyed at checkout (he was making the bowls and ringing us up) it was about 8:30pm not sure if he was the only one behind the counter?? (Understaffed) But overall they need better management and staff Bc this made for 3 disappointed customers and a sad cava experience. Chipotle is right next door people--go there for a far less confusing and more pleasing experience! read more
