We have been eating at this restaurant for over 10 years. We know the Covid situation did not make it easy on any of the retail businesses. We decided to eat at Cattlemans on our way home on Monday the 16th. We were able to get in without a reservation in about 15 mins. We both ordered Prime Rib which we have had in the past severall times. That night the Prime Rib was like shoe leather! My husband never sends anything back but if you can't cut your meant with that big steak knife something is wrong.. We both ordered medium rare and got med to well but the meat had this weird tint of red to make it look like it was a rare piece of meat. I am sorry but this is not acceptable to tint the meat because the cook over cooked the meat! Not sure if we will be going back! read more

We went here for our 15yr anniversary and the service and food was insanely slow. Arrived at 5:30 and sat shortly after & left at 7:25 for a party of two. Took almost 15mins before our server greeted us, then nearly 20mins to get drinks (1 glass of wine & 1 martini- apparently the bar was back up). Our food took 45mins for two steaks (it was redivision's to see a party of 10 get their food before ours when we arrived and ordered before them). The calamari and filet was excellent and cooked right, but the ribeye was overdone and had cold fries. Luckily the manager took care of the Ribeye and made it right, but I am just disappointed because I spent our 15yr anniversary with high hopes but received Extremely slow service (our server was nonexistent) and my meal felt lacking any unique quality/aspects that would want me to come back. People who hate here have serious food poisoning. Avoid at all cost. This is a chain restaurant all the recipes and food comes from the same vendors. So the quality I experienced from food to service was completely unacceptable. We had a table for SEVENTEEN people. Yet everyones food was either nasty because of the way it was cooked or the quality was so bad it was inedible. We have all never had an experience like this especially not for the size of the group and amount we were spending. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Go to a different cattlemens. Not even 2000$ motivated, including tip, the servers or owner to have better quality. It has been a long time since I have been here. Wish I would have kept it that way. Met some friends for dinner on a Sunday night. Got there at 6:30 and didn't get seated until about 7:15. Not a big deal, kind of standard nowadays with the lack of workers and whatnot. Ordered our food and it took a very long time to come out. When it finally did, the entire table (8 people) had cold food. By this point, we were so hungry and kids had school in the morning, we just decided to eat and not wait for them to remake all that food. Plus the kids were being crazy, so we said screw it. The food was lousy to put it kindly, and not just because it was cold. My garlic fries looked as if someone had just scooped spoons full of that chopped garlic (you know, the kind from the jar) on top of the fries. It was pungent and my wife wouldn't kiss me for days (not a bad thing). The ribs were just okay, probably because they were cold. My poor friend's French dip sandwich looked so awful--I couldn't believe they actually served it to him. The meat was so dry it could have passed as leather and looked like it had been sitting out all day. The bread was cold and wasn't toasted. We laughed and couldn't believe how ugly that sandwich was. I wish I would have taken a picture, but that's not usually my first thought. We then paid our $250 bill and vowed to never return. I could have eaten a better meal at McDonalds and saved myself $100. read more

Was told it would take 30 minutes and they would call when food was ready. Unfortunately the service has really declined over the past few years. We went last week and ordered some sodas. About 15 minutes after ordering them, we had to go find a server and ask about them. A few minutes later, a server came over and told us they were out of mugs. We suggested they put the soda in a regular glass. So, the last few times we have gone to Cattlemens we have noticed a few things... the petite filet has gotten alot more petite yet the price remains high and sometimes we have to ask for baked beans or they are never served to us at all. The Prime Rib seems to have shrunken a little bit too. Also, why must you make your employees aggressively push customers to add xtras to their meals?? 4/9/24 We had a reservation for 12 people at 7pm to celebrate a birthday. The poor attitude of our server, poor quality of food and conflicting messages ruined the evening, sending everyone in the party away grumbling and vowing not to return to Cattlemen's. Barely cooked baked potatoes that were so cold butter would not melt on them, burnt hamburgers, one set of dressings for the entire table, no baked beans (said they were out but then offered to send some home with us??), for the birthday celebration we had to remind them as they bused our entire table with us sitting there. The uniquely flavored and deliciously prepared steaks were so popular with their customers that they opened more and more restaurants. I enjoyed their petite fillet mignon and my friend had a nice, thick cut of Prime Rib. All steak entree's are accompanied with choice of potato ( baked potato or fries), all you can eat salads (cherry tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, sliced red onion, and sliced red cabbage ), cowboy style ranch beans (yummy), and a nice big wedge of San Francisco-Style sourdough bread and pure butter! I've waited a while to post my review. I'm very saddened that I will not be patronizing this restaurant again. I have never experienced such disregard for a customer's satisfaction. We were seated quickly at our reservation time for my husband's birthday. We ordered drinks, which still had not arrived even as our food arrived, so we cancelled that order since we didn't want drinks for "dessert" essentially. After taking a few bites of my "medium-rare" steak, I noticed it was on the very "rare"-side. I usually do not speak up, but I did. The waitress offered to cook it some more--eeww, no! Love this place! Great place for steaks and any other kind of meat. I don't know why but I love coming here. We are always greeted with such enthusiasm. Once we had to wait an extra 30 minutes even though we had a reservation. They did not hesitate at all to compensate with complimentary appetizers! On my recent visit we got the dinner for two. I can honestly say that I've been raised on cattlemen's and my dad's baby back ribs. No other restaurants can compare to cattlemen's and taste anything close to my dad's home cooked ribs! My family and I have been going to this place for celebrations, get togethers and just family dinners. We've never been disappointed in the last 13 years we've gone there. The food is plenty, although every time we've gone I've only ordered a full rack of baby back ribs (I'll never pass up ribs from cattlemen's or my dad's home cooked in the world!). Their ribs are literally "fall off the bone" delicious! And not to forget, their baked potato is just as good too! Servings were plentiful, but then again, it's a steakhouse, so everything is plentiful here. Sometimes it's great and sometimes it's so so. 6 months ago everything was fantastic. Steaks and beef ribs were cooked to perfection and everyone enjoyed the experience. Last week we went there because we had some out of town guests and we wanted to treat them to a nice steak restaurant. The beef ribs tasted like it was reheated from a couple days ago. Celebrated my Fiancés special needs sister's 30th birthday and had a terrible experience. First of all we were told over the phone that we COULD bring outside dessert. When we arrived the hostess then told us that we weren't allowed to bring it in at all. After speaking to the manager they then informed us they just couldn't store it but we could bring it to the table. I get it "COVID" however their staff needs to be a little more informed on this policy. Thank goodness it was a cold evening because the ice cream cakes had to sit outside in the car until it was time for dessert. Additionally you are not allowed to be seated until the whole entire party has arrived. We had a rather larger party and our elderly grandparents were running a little behind. This left us outside in the cold until they arrived. Not a great start to our celebration. The waitress was great but you could tell they were under staffed for a Monday night.
