There is a need to have an understanding that businesses are in business to master their trade, bring a value to a customer's life and/or home and develop the crucial word of mouth and review that gets others needing a service continue the supposed momentum. This business fails miserably on many different fronts. I made a huge mistake selecting them and it warrants a warning to anyone in need of this type of service. Go elsewhere. Find others in the industry that will know the definition of cleaning, the professionalism of a return phone call, an exorbitantly higher price without the justifiable service to support that price. The only timely and efficient act is the seek and accept of the payment that you are roped into providing them even when services are incomplete. I always loved the service they have but I'm not sure what's going on lately this is the second. Issue I've had with this company. First issue was a few months ago one of the outside bare stools were not changed but on the service contract stated it was changed and it wasn't this is why cameras do wonders!! Today had an appt and waited around for them to show up and they never came but once I called customer service stated that they came and changed stations outside which they never showed up. I was told they were at the wrong house which in y 4-5 years of having this service has never happened now I have to reschedule for another day after sitting and waiting for them to arrive! I'm sure the issue will be resolved but there on the edge of losing a customer customer service is great but this current tech is not and I'm not sure how you can go to the wrong house but we will wait and see how this gets resolved read more

We canceled our service and was told early cancelation was $125, fine. I was told the fees would be waived for June since we had already tried to cancel. The fees were not waived and I was charged an extra $125 for cancelation. On top of that they are still sending monthly bills with additional charges. Very disappointed with the service and follow-up. I called to get treatment for carpenter ants and the salesman tried talking me into ants, mice and a monthly premium service. The person applying the treatment was pleasant. When I called to say I still had ants and they did not fix the problem, they tried to sell me a monthly premium plan as a solution. I asked to speak to a manager multiple times and they did not return my calls. I would not recommend this service. My recommendation would be to find someone local. read more

Would I recommend this company NO! Techs are friendly and do what they are trained to do which seems to be the minimum. Spent 1500 plus 150 catgaurd monthly service, was told ALL surfaces would be clean and disinfected. TO MY SURPRISE only hard surfaces would be cleaned. So what did I pay for well 10 snap traps baited 3 times in 6 weeks 5 outside bait boxes with snap traps which hasn't been checked in 10 days now. Not to mention the tech didn't have his vacuum so they used my shop vac to clean. Will the rant do anything probably not but if the next person looking up this company will not use them then awesome. I hired this company to get rid of rodents but I did more and found how they were getting in and fixing the problem. Save your money and get to know your house. read more

This company is a fraud. Look elsewhere. We paid nearly $4000 for the Catguard experience, a complete waste of money. The product is described as the house being sealed entirely at all entrance points for rodents. This team made a gigantic mess of my garage door, which no longer closes since they did their work in February. I've been bounced from one rep to another who is "looking into" the status of the part they ordered to fix the garage door entirely. The last rep, Matt, I spoke with told me I may need to have someone lay concrete down in my entire garage so that the door and seal match uo. A complete waste of money. read more

I have used catseye for 2 different services because the sales person begged me to give him a second chance and billed his services as "platinum standard." The first service was a bat exclusion which I requested in September. To make a long story short, the bats were not out of my property until June. The amount of incompetence and disorganization that resulted in this situation is too stunning to recount here. When I gave them a second chance at the pleading of the sales person, he sold me a "thorough start up visit" that would cover "any potential areas of weakness." This visit cost $531. When I got the invoice, it had a start and finish time on it and the technicians were there for 9 minutes total. I asked to cancel the service and they agreed in writing. That was 8 weeks ago. I am STILL waiting for a refund for that $531 even though it was agreed to by multiple agents. It is not for a lack of trying. I keep following up and they keep promising it is "being processed." I wished I had read the other reviews before signing up since it seems like promising refunds and then not actually processing them is a signature move of this company. read more

i had an issue with a rat in my home and Cats Eye came out and sold me their services and their Cat Guard system where my house was sealed up- to prevent any further pests. Sounded great BUT they had to come out and reseal up some areas I had mice coming in- then my one year warranty ran out and they wanted over $300 to renew the protection. i couldn't afford that and I have had mice ever since- I had no work done on my home to break the integrity of them "sealing it up"- it cost over $2000 for the Cat Guard which was a waste of money!!!! I would not recommend these services. Overpriced and they promise MUCH more than they actually do. We had a raccoon pooping on our roof. We have a small dog and we're worried about the raccoon feces and read they they will keep coming back. Cats eye came out and checked our attic roof and all around our house. I was told the Highly toxic, dangerous if touched poop would be cleaned off the roof On the first day, the whole area would be sanitized. I was told the cap on my chimney looked like it was tampered with and they would secure it. I was told it looked like the raccoon was trying to get into the house I was told they would trap for 5 days and there were most likely 2 raccoons. Day 1: highly toxic, dangerous if touched poop was not cleaned up, cat was stuck in the trap. We called cat eye right away and told them there was a cat could they come out as soon as possible to let the poor thing go. My neighbors said they heard her crying in the afternoon. Day 2: raccoon was caught!!! highly toxic dangerous is touched poop still not cleaned. Called cats eye to ask about poop clean up they said they leave it to attract the raccoon. They'll pick it up after the raccoon is caught. Day 3: highly toxic dangerous if touched poop still not cleaned. Nothing trapped Day 4: highly toxic dangerous if touched poop still not cleaned and is now rolling off my roof on to my deck and front porch. We called cats eye and asked when they'd be by to clean the poop told today. no trap set up Day 5 no trap set up. Poop STILL NOT CLEANED. My husband picked it up with a towel and threw it away. called again-no show Day 6: poop finally cleaned up! I watched on my outdoor camera. He was done in 5 minutes. Couldn't help but wonder how he cleaned, sanitized and secured the chimney cap in 5 minutes. I paid $900 for what I thought was great service. I got 3 days of trapping when promised 5. I thought we had this animal trying to get into our house to have babies and this company would save the day. Really all they did was catch the raccoon and stress us out because we paid $900 to have a raccoon caught and throw away raccoon poop ourselves And we had to call daily to ask for things to get done. So disappointed in this. I was totally duped. I only gave it two stars because they caught the raccoon. read more

This is a sales organization not a product one. Spent a lot of Money on insulation and basement kit only to find that part of the attic has big holes in the insulation and the wire mesh around the deck has lots of holes. Have called but no call back. From a maintenance perspective, not great. They seem to have one tech for the whole of Fairfield county. Currently, we have a wasps nest (and small kids). They came out the same day I called to check everything out - awesome! Then their tech came out & planted traps a day later - AWESOMER! And kept in touch throughout, providing me with all of the follow-up services and cleaning and plugging entry points that they included in the service I hired them for. Everything was done in a very timely fashion, no delays, no one was late, and followed a prescribed scheduled they adhered to - and their tech was super friendly & professional - AWESOMEST! Horrible customer service. Technicians don't actually come into the house to check pest traps. They check "the perimeter of the house" and nothing more. They charge a monthly fee as part of their platinum plan however you get no actual follow up service. They don't answer calls if they don't want to talk to you. In fact, they immediately send your call to voicemail and never call you back. My original problem still exists even after spending $1200 for nothing. They're thieves. read more

A Catseye inspector came to my house in Enfield, CT to evaluate my mouse problem. Mistook fuzzies on the carpet for mice droppings a couple times and admitted the errors. Found and showed me evidence of carpenter ants I didn't know about which I appreciated. Gave me a quote of about $7400 total for carpenter ant eradication, Platinum home protection program, full Catguard exclusion system, and rodent removal. The inspector followed up with me by text after the evaluation. He asked if I had any questions. Especially because of the large expense involved, I asked for a list of the specific areas of my property where work would be done, and an explanation of what work would be done there. That was several weeks ago and I never got a response. I'm looking elsewhere. read more

This company did come to my home and resolved a carpet beetle infestation. From there they had me purchase a platinum plan that was a bi-monthly service for a monthly fee of 79.76. It was supposed to manage insects, as well as rodents. I canceled the service in September. Despite their treatments, my house was inundated with flies all summer and late summer some large silver-colored beetle. When I called to complain about a large number of bugs in and around the house I was met with 1 return phone call but no follow up. I canceled service in September. I had an automatic payment release from my bank account shortly thereafter. When I called, I was told I would immediately receive a refund. Two months have passed with no call, no check. After 3 more calls, I was told no credit was due owing to payment for the September bill. What infuriates me is that when I spoke to representatives in September - when the payment occurred, I was told no problem, then nothing. No further communication to discuss who owed who what, just nothing. When I called in October I was met with rudeness. I asked to have the owner call me and received no call. I called again in November but by now too much time has passed and staff are left with no ability to rectify. In my experience, ineffective treatment, and false lip service. There are many other providers. I do not recommend this one. read more
