When I arrived they had 3 ready for me to hit the road on a test ride. This was my 2nd foldable bike, but my 1st high performance one, so I wanted something that I could grow into skill- wise. I got on a Brompton which felt amazing to the tune of $3,200 (a bit out of my price range). After all my research, I thought I would leave with a Montague, but the ride was just mid and the style wasn't cool. But when they put me on the Dahon-the ride was smooth, there was easy access to speed, and the gears handy to my fingers to switch. Like a 10 year old, I hollered out "I want this one!!!" Light weight, made of aluminum, attractive, modern, slightly used, and still under warranty, they gave it to me for $200 under the market price value. I highly recommend Mount Airy Bicycles, with over 6,000 bikes in inventory, you're bound to find something especially for you. Customer service and knowledge were top notch. Larry predicted that I would get the Dahon. Greg showed me all the mechanics of the bike before I left and we added a drink holder. I'll be back in a little under a year for a check up. Between Tony's BBQ, Jimmie Cone, and test riding all day, this was a lovely day trip!

Line is brutal and sad. People are dropping things they want to buy. While store features a few good brands, it is useful for trying on if you do not mind undressing in front of others since fitting rooms are locked and finding a willing store associate with keys is not something one can guarantee. If something fits you and you want instant gratification of purchase, you must stay in a line where store associate chats every customer up to demonstrate family like environment while marinating you for an hour waiting. You should consider if you want to wait or better order online. If you decided to buy, then after 20-40 minutes of waiting you are pressured through attack on why you do not want to become a member. REI, I do not want to become a member of this environment exactly because you are not considered about people. Those people in the line behind me want to enjoy their Saturday and you do not care about it. This is all I need to know. It is exactly the environment that I avoid as plaque as it is inconsiderate, often rude, entitled, pushy, and fake. I do not appreciate when you ask me to shut up and let you finish your speech why I must become a member. Today I made a good decision to leave the line while dropping whatever I wanted to purchase ($300+). A gentleman in front of me did the same thing. I saw gloomy faces of ladies in the line whom I passed on my way out and they were considering to leave as well.

The opening hours are limited but I was able to get in on a Saturday right after practice. Lots of families were there with the same idea. Just be prepared to be patient to find parking because the location is in a warehouse/garage district. The staff were very kind and helpful in showing me where the bats, batting helmets, gloves and other supplies were. Think about this place like a thrift store - some items are in great condition, some are passable and ok for a season, but you may have to lower your expectations if you are looking for super low prices. But knowing that some new bats are $100+ or even upwards of $250+ a pop, getting a decent one for 50% off retail is great when you don't have the luxury of waiting for sales. And if you are conservation minded like me, the fact that this stuff isn't just getting thrown out and can be used for others is a plus. They also obviously have softball, football, hockey, soccer, and other sport supplies in stock. And the store did not smell like a nasty locker room, which us a great sign.

She was patient, knowledgeable, and asked enough questions to make sure I left with the right style of bike for my intended uses. She let me test out three different bicycles to find the perfect fit and style. I told her that I hadn't ridden a bike in 30+ years and she helped me feel comfortable enough to do the test rides on the sidewalk outside the front of the store. Brenda respected my stated budget and didn't try to upsell me to a more expensive model, which I appreciated. I'm definitely going to take advantage of the complimentary free adjustments for 30 days after purchase (sizing and comfort, brakes, and gears) and ask for lessons on how to clean and lube the drivetrain, inflate the tires, and perform a pre-ride safety check. Between this experience and an equally great experience purchasing a bike for my husband this past winter, Trek Rockville has definitely exceeded our expectations!

I called the Clarendon store and they said they can assemble for us within the hour so we drove there and the staff there was just night and day compared to rockville they helped my son get on even though he couldnt ride it yet and lead him around the store so he can enjoy it first hand.
